Absolutely awesome car. I remember as a kid, helping a neighbour rebuild a crashed 1800 SSS in a beautiful green. I have found memories of that car as it sound fantastic and was pretty fast. 👍👍
I love Datsuns !!! This is one of the most outstanding rebuilds that i have ever seen ... outstanding work done to the car mantaining its originality with a clean bodywork ! Its a car that you dont expect its performance but gives you a smack in the face when you put your foot down on the pedal ! Only thing you can do is simply smile and enjoy ... BEAUTIFUL DATSUN ! CONGRATS ! 👏👏👏 I only wish i could get one ..
My intentions arnt to offend the owner. But how would you do a break job ?? Would it be possible with the pedal set up that he has in it?? My hat goes off to the workmanship that has gone into the car! Such a beautiful piece of machinery!
Wonderful job on the car bluebird (510) I live in the states & the 69 510 window wipers pointed towards each other as ware the 70 and up both faced same like your car or was that one of your mods?
I'm still frustrated: we never had a chance to buy a 510 SSS here in Canada, new or used. And right hand drive cars are nearly impossible to import: so many paperwork and inspections are a nightmare. Question: Is any way to transform a right to left drive, using a RH dash, steering and pedals ?? Had a two door '72 510 in my youth and never forgot that car. The special and awesome sound of Datsun 510 !
G’day mate! Firstly thanks so much for watching. Yeah you can definitely convert fro RHD to LHD but it’s a lot of work! You will need to unpick the firewall and the get all the associated parts you have mentioned. But we 100% agree such amazing cars!!! Cheers, RG
I don't think so it's imported directly from Japan. Looking at the plate number I reckon it's from state of Sabah, Malaysia. Further looking at the retrofitted side mirror it's a common conversion of side mirror made by Malaysian form the original hood side mirror.

@@GrassRootsGarage You're right mate. As long as the skids are done off-road, there would be nothing wrong with that. I see all these fantastic 4cyl cars with massive turbo's... I'm just saying it would be the icing on the cake to see a bit of tyre smoke - just saying.
