I've been looking at that new Alijoz 400. But I swear they have their braid and Mono capacities backwards. Customer svc told me they are just different brands, but I can't believe that. 306yds of 40lb Mono and only 208yds of 24lb braid. No brands are off by that much lol.
Yeah I saw an ad and thought the same thing, had to be backwards! I got more braid on the Alijoz than I was anticipating so I’m super pleased with that!
I just picked up the alijos 300 and 400 for fishing saltwater in the kayak, im not comfortable bringing my tranx or lexa on the yak.. i will say I actually loved them both. I killed it with the 300 paired with a okuma shadow stalker inshore rod. If you're on the fence about these 2 reels I'd say do it.. definitely worth the money.
Agreed! I threw my 300 on a heavier bay setup and it works great for walking big spooks. Have a video where that’s all I use catching some good striper on it! Definitely worth it at the price point to have it in the arsenal.

I need to get a 400, took my 300 to Lake Whitney recently and it absolutely whooped the stripers there, skied they across the water. 400 may be the perfect size for jetty and offshore!

I’ve had one for about a month now and have caught a lot of hybrid striped bass on it. It’s pretty nice. Lots of cranking power.
