Sorry about the late comment. I am driving my second Grand Marquis. The one I have now is a 2000 GS. My previous Grand Marquis was a 2003 that an uninsured driver totalled.
My 2000 has the same h - pipe with Flowpack one chambered mufflers and 3.5" exhaust tips out the back. I swapped the 4.6L for a 5.4L Triton with a set of Comp Cams Xtreme Energy Camshafts (Stage 3).
I just lowered the car 2" all around on 17" × 8" American Racing Torq Thrust Ms (Black Spokes). On Monday I am putting it in the shop to install a positraction differential and 3:55.1 gears.

I have an 04 grand marquis ultimate edition. Love it heated leather power everything. Was thinking of cutting the 2 catylic converters out and getting an h pipe

@@dbaKen body is mint no rust moonroof it's the ultimate edition. Has that soft top. Don't really care for that but what do you do lol. Got it for 900. Crazy

i brought the car in september 2021 and the car was sitting in the driveway for 5 months and then i started to drive the car and it's making a noise like that when i press the gas i thought i was having a valve train noise but i don't think that's the problem. i changed the oil and now it's making that noise only when i press the gas. i change the spark plugs the air filter pcv valve change the motor oil and filter clean the throttle body and the mass air flow sensor i didn't change the fuel filter yet but i will so what can that noise be when i press the gas
Def need to do something. Build that motor cuz yours is beat. My 08 crown roasts the posi rear end by mistake and keeps em spinning half way through second. My dad's 11 grand marquis torches the pass tire all the time. All stock.
Well just a k&n and obd chip 2 but I think it's the same without those. Need more power less paddles

I drive a 01 grand marquis and plan on putting an h pipe in I just wanted to see if it would be similar. Eventually till I can afford the more expensive route
I'd recommend the h pipe and finishing the exhaust all the way to the back.

@@dbaKen man if you daily drive it you definitely need those rear cats off immediately. The difference in sound and throttle response is night and day.
