  • This is not a cop car. This is a "P74", LX model, with factory dual exhaust. I had the primary mufflers deleted and the rear "resonators" (Glasspacks) are all that is left. It's true dual 2 inch with a H pipe (factory).
To repeat, this is not a cop car, "P71". This is a "P74", which is the LX model. It came with the handling package, though the suspension is thoroughly wrecked.
Real update video coming soon. Also yes I know the car was running like hot garbage in the first pass, I cleaned the MAF after that was shot and it seems to be running fine now. It's a Ford, what do you expect?

Sounds like crap with no mufflers, I was thinking about doing this to my Vic but I think I will just get a aftermarket system, Thanks for posting the video.

It actually sounded really good but that car ran like dogshit. The intake finally blew up and I sold it. It's not overly loud when you're rumbling around town. Here's my advice, cut off the resonators, if you don't like it, put on a new exhaust system. I personally really liked it.

@@DeadReckon The farting - spitting sound when decelerating I do not like which may be air getting into the exhaust. perhaps a the weld was not around the whole pipe good . or they just sound that way after the mod. I like the loudness just not the popping sound when it decelerates. my Harley would do that if I had a exhaust leak.

@@Shanaigins It was running like shit that day, I never got that car running right before the coolant outlet for the heater on the back of the intake (Or inlet) disintegrated. It never would throw enough codes but sometimes it just didn't want to run, don't know why, weak fuel pump or something.

She actually had a limited slip rear end with 3.55's, kinda like the cop cars. Once the intake popped though, I was done.

@@zeropointstar No idea but according to the build sheet I had for the car, it had a 3.55 gear posi just like the P71 cop cars. There was A LOT broken on that car, when the intake popped I sold it for $1000 (Which is kinda funny 'cause I only had $800 in it!)

Yeah, as long as you don't look too close. It's a 55/55 quality car, looks good at 55 feet, or 55 miles an hour.

Driving the car a little more conservative I’m sure it wouldn’t have ran like shit. Gotta take care of a car if you expect it to last and run correctly

You don't know what you're talking about. That car had sat for about two years before I got it, it probably needed a fuel pump, the heater port on the plastic intake had dissolved where the coolant hadn't been changed, and it had electrical issues out the ass. It was a $600 car I made about $400 on. I run the dogshit out of a lot of vehicles I own, if they're built worth a damn they take it.
That isn't to say the Crown Vic is a bad car, it isn't. It's a great car with a great engine with a shitty fucking plastic intake that makes it a laughable car with a laughable engine unless you want to cough up big bucks for an aluminum intake. Shouldn't have wasted my money on the car, but it was fun for the two weeks I had it on the road.

Yep, that was 'cause the intake was failing. It ended up blowing a coolant port off and I sold the car.
