  • This thing sounds awesome now. Gotta love that rumble. Definitely good enough for me... at least for now.

      I want to say yes but I can’t tell if it’s mental or not lol. So I can’t say yes with 100% certainty.

    Will this mess your car up in the long run?

    • @dbaKen
      @dbaKen  Рік тому

      No but I recommend a full exhaust setup. I’ve ran a few different muffler delete variations on this car and it sounds good but there will always be some drone sound to it.

    My question is can’t you unbolt if why does no one just unbolt the muffler

    • @dbaKen
      @dbaKen  Рік тому

      It’s not bolt on from factory. You would have to cut the actual muffler out of you wanted to change it.

      @@dbaKen doesn’t it unbolt next to the catalytic converters tho? It looks like it on my car but I haven’t actually climbed under it

      Sorry man , my tires are shot and near bald so i dont wanna send it 100% yet , but i will when i get tires put on! And also my hood wasn't latched because of the accident so if i went too fast it would fly up lmao.

    Makes no sense to expect the chopped-off pipes to sound like a full exhaust system. You can't even ESTIMATE what the sound will be like with a total system in place.
    You seem young and inexperienced -- avoid the childish notions of making your large sedan into a racecar -- it ain't gonna happen.
    Your Merc sounds just fine as it is (Cats ON), but when it's piped out the back, it will sound MUCH different.
    To maintain that mellow tone, you'll need an H-Pipe. An X-Pipe will give a raspy, high-pitched sound that just doesn't fit on the big Merc.
    MagnaFlow glasspacks will give straight-through, max-flow performance without the budget-busting expence of the popular Flowmasters.
    Walker tailpipes behind the mufflers, and a nice set of Stainless-Steel tips will complete your system -- for CHEAP !

      Nobody expects it to sound like a full exhaust system with just a muffler delete. It's just temporary until I get a BBK xpipe and and proper headers as I mentioned in most of my Grand Marquis videos.

      Yes , with widow maker mufflers, a TR 3650 Transmission, a built engine with an SVT supercharger. You can doubt it but it'll happen.

      Sounds dangerous -- do they have holes in them ??

    • @dbaKen

      Yes they are made by Black Widow Exhaust.

      Sounds fine to me. I think my problem is I wasn't romping on it yet since my tires were shot but I got new tires and will be uploading some runs with it soon.
