Anbernic solve that issue for the rg35xx+ with dpad analog switcher on the power button this might get the same update sooner or later from the arcos devs
The extra Power isn't there to play N64 Games in this Case though. It's also to improve Performance of PS1, DS, and being able to play some DC even. All in all it can Play everything the Miyoo Mini can (and more) and it has a better screen and better Performance AND half the price apparently (once it's available). I have an R36S and MM+ already and I do really enjoy the OnionOS experience on MM+ versus ArkOS on the R36S so I feel No need to get a R33S right now. The great DS Performance, price point, pocketability would make this a hard Thing to say No to though. Also, very important fact for Pokémon gamers, because of its chipset it's capable of doing fast Forward on Pokemon romhacks much better. I'm Not a Pokémon Gamer but I See this being an important factor for the Community, and even more important: IT HAS RTC (Real time clock). Great video. I found in my use of it to have some issues with the D-Pad during my video I posted. Mine cam straight from the factory so no Screen Protector either. I also found the ability to use shaders vs the Miyoo to be a good positive.

This blazes the MM+ Out of the water in that regard I'm sure. The OnionOS that runs on Miyoo Mini+ makes for a damn good and convenient experience compared to ArkOS though. However, on the R33S, for some emulators, the" quick mode" is available, which means you can exit a game and turn off the system and have it saved with pressing R3+Power button, and by turning on again it will jump in directly at this point, similar to OnionOS. However, there is no GameSwitcher and the Menu button through which you would access the GS is replaced by a reset button which is quite pointless. All in all, considering the massive success of the MM+, a device half the price, while even more powerful and with a much better screen, will likely meet a high demand, if it gets popular enough.

The power isn't the point of the Mini. It's the community. Onion OS makes the miyoo duo so much more appealing than everything else on the market for this particular form factor. Even the R35XX is only just good enough because Garlic OS is close enough to Onion to make it good.
Without the support of the community this is almost garbage. It has power but you can't play "High End" games with anologue sticks. It says wifi but there is not. By now miyoo Mini plus it is better even if more expansive and less powerful. Also a R36s is way better. With WiFi and "RG35XX H" style...it would be an absolute bargain!

I saw a listing for it on aliexpress just yesterday, just by searching "r33s", the one I'm talking about just has the aliexpress logo for the product photo. I'm not 100% sure if the vendor is good or not, but it's worth checking out if you really want one!

Maybe the case was different 6 months ago but as of today the r33s is neither cheaper or better than the mm+
6 hours battery life doesn't seem bad, shame they didn't put wifi and Bluetooth, it would have been perfect!

I don't get it, you can swap stick to dpad, it's easy - so why many of you say that you can't play n64\dc
Certain games need 1 D-Pad and 1 to play properly.
D-Pad to move chsracter, joystick to move weapon.
This being the same price as the R36S makes no sense. It lacks analog sticks, so it needs to be cheaper.
This is trading on being a more powerful but cheaper Miyoo Mini+. They don’t want you compare it against anything other than the MM+.

Great Video! That reset button over the menu button is such a bad design choice. Also, no wifi is kinda crazy.
