My family has been living in hotels for 5 years now. We have 2 kids 12& 14. We don't drink,smoke and definitely don't do drugs. We just can't save any money living like this. It's been a nightmare trying to keep safe. If it wasn't for my faith in God, i don't know how I'd make it through another day. My husband drives a truck 14 hours a day and all our money goes to paying this room and food. We just need that break to get us into a home

I do have sympathy for these children. One thing I do agree with the children's mother is her anger with the representatives who are there to help her yet say that there is nothing that they can do. I would say the chances of them getting anything back is next to none. They do this to the homeless in Denver also. Folks that live in rv's "Are Not Homeless PERIOD." This is totally outrageous and unacceptable for this family and anyone else that lives in a rv to have their home STOLEN from them. They deserve their property "Rightfully Returned Back To Them." They should NOT be forced to pay for their own property being returned to them either. They did nothing wrong, they are human beings and are very much a part of society in the community. They don't break laws and I am quite positive that they pay for things out of their own pockets. Praying for you. 🙏🙏🙏 I have been there, homeless in California. The best advice I can give is call 211 and get into a shelter so you can get into the co-ordinated entry system. Nothing will happen housing wise unless you are in this system.
Prayers really do work! I literally received an email this morning from a homeless lady who has been living in a hotel with her husband & two kids for a year. I helped them them out after I randomly came across their story & they said they had no money to get their kids any presents. Then I prayed for them just 3 days ago & they were able to get a rental home yesterday. They're in Oregon in some area where there is a housing shortage. For the past two months I've started praying & seen huge prayers answered.
I was homeless once and have a home now. I pay rent utilities and such. The money 💰 🤑 💸 I make is a problem if you wanted to live and eat. Well that shoved a hole in things. My daughter feeds me or I wouldn't be where I am.
They are full she's lucky she still has her babies. I'm working like he'll to get mine back. now They want us to have insurance and registration they know I don't have money. I have nice 5th wheel CPS lady liked it day before yesterday, now she's telling me I need more I did everything they asked it seems never good enough. I'm sure lots of people don't have insurance and registration.

Without some kind of support, it's going to be impossible for both partners to work. Someone has to keep the kids and there's no way they're going to be able to afford daycare on a poor person's salary. And in that area, one person working isn't going to be enough to afford a place. Heck, both of them working for anything less than $20-$25 an hour isn't going to be enough to afford a place. They need to leave that area and settle in a place with a lower cost of living.

Lots of rvs became inoperable due to breakdowns. Can mechanics form a charity organization to get parts from salvage yard and help to fix those broken down RVs? The condition of them stationary RVs can be so bad that living on the street is preferable.
I'm actually in the process of buying a camper and they're actually really nice with lots of room. I'm 47 and I'm tried of working in a factory killing myself and paying for a house that keeps going up in rent every single year. I worked 2 jobs being a single mom and still couldn't afford hot water. People love to judge until they end up like this.

There's no reason for not having more programs in place to help with the American Homeless.. we can spend millions of dollars helping foreign countries, we can't even spend a quarter of that helping homes. Who now, without intervention from responsible adults, will likely now have the same terrible experiences to use as to why they are messed up as adults, who then pass that to their children. There’s such a housing crisis. I feel bad for their situation. My husband and I used to own a residential hotel. I hear these sad cases and yet we helped families with children and even connected them with services that would help them and I can tell you we got stiffed the most by single mothers with children. When a drunk tenant caused a huge fire to the building which was also our home a number of these people tried to sue us even though we ended up homeless when the building was shut down. We never threw people out when they couldn’t come up with the rent and took it in the shorts. We dumped all our savings into that place. It was inspected by the city and fire dept every year. Worst nightmare of my life the tenants and then the fire. Eventually we sold the building at a great loss I lost 20 years of my retirement we were a small mom and pop business with a large overhead. Sometimes I think of helping people but would never go that route again.

For the people who would like to help, how can we. Is there a way to help the lady and her children directly? So many creators set up gofundmes just to take the money for themselves! Exactly I caught that! They towed it because it doesn't run and has probably been sitting in the same spot for months ! How were they hooked up to water and electricity like she claimed?... She did mention her brother called her that they were towing the RV... Were missing a lot to this story....The probability it doesn't have current registration and plates are high as well.. the rv looked very old...
Maybe their friend towed it or they paid a tow company. RVs are very light weight, so it doesn't take much to tow them. Look tiny houses on wheels. They are very heavy, since built like regular stick-built houses, yet people tow them with pick-up trucks.

There is low income housing and section 8 available. You just have to apply for it. I got a house in just 6 months when I was homeless with my kids. Rent is based on income so I only pay $50 a month.

I did not say DCF. Im referring to in Fl where I live rental assistance food stamps. Temporary housing assistance.

My family has been living in hotels for 5 years now. We have 2 kids 12& 14. We don't drink,smoke and definitely don't do drugs. We just can't save any money living like this. It's been a nightmare trying to keep safe. If it wasn't for my faith in God, i don't know how I'd make it through another day. My husband drives a truck 14 hours a day and all our money goes to paying this room and food. We just need that break to get us into a home

One thing I do agree with the children's mother is her anger with the representatives who are there to help her yet say that there is nothing that they can do. Praying for you. 🙏🙏🙏 I have been there, homeless in California. The best advice I can give is call 211 and get into a shelter so you can get into the co-ordinated entry system. Nothing will happen housing wise unless you are in this system.
Prayers really do work! I literally received an email this morning from a homeless lady who has been living in a hotel with her husband & two kids for a year. I helped them them out after I randomly came across their story & they said they had no money to get their kids any presents. Then I prayed for them just 3 days ago & they were able to get a rental home yesterday. They're in Oregon in some area where there is a housing shortage. For the past two months I've started praying & seen huge prayers answered.
I was homeless once and have a home now. I pay rent utilities and such. The money 💰 🤑 💸 I make is a problem if you wanted to live and eat. Well that shoved a hole in things. My daughter feeds me or I wouldn't be where I am.

A lot of this happens when developers buy up cheap apartments, put in upgrades that nobody wants, and then raises the rent by 200 bucks. There is a serious lack of affordable housing in this state. Someone has to keep the kids and there's no way they're going to be able to afford daycare on a poor person's salary. And in that area, one person working isn't going to be enough to afford a place. Heck, both of them working for anything less than $20-$25 an hour isn't going to be enough to afford a place. They need to leave that area and settle in a place with a lower cost of living.

Lots of rvs became inoperable due to breakdowns. Can mechanics form a charity organization to get parts from salvage yard and help to fix those broken down RVs? The condition of them stationary RVs can be so bad that living on the street is preferable.
I'm actually in the process of buying a camper and they're actually really nice with lots of room. I'm 47 and I'm tried of working in a factory killing myself and paying for a house that keeps going up in rent every single year. I worked 2 jobs being a single mom and still couldn't afford hot water. People love to judge until they end up like this.

Their entire history, everything that’s influenced their beliefs and understanding of the world & everything going forward. No one is in anyone else’s head but their own. Who now, without intervention from responsible adults, will likely now have the same terrible experiences to use as to why they are messed up as adults, who then pass that to their children. The homeless have nothing. How is it just for a wealthy state to seize what little they have by fiat, without due process of law? And then throw up their hands and say, "I dunno. Guess you're screwed." May God have mercy on us all.
It's theft to me and on a scale a mile wide Seattle uses bulldozers to run tents over and this has been a long thing before the 72 hours they used to just wake you up like at 530 am and be like you got ten fucking minutes and whatever is left is getting bulldozed

There’s such a housing crisis. I feel bad for their situation. My husband and I used to own a residential hotel. I hear these sad cases and yet we helped families with children and even connected them with services that would help them and I can tell you we got stiffed the most by single mothers with children. When a drunk tenant caused a huge fire to the building which was also our home a number of these people tried to sue us even though we ended up homeless when the building was shut down. We never threw people out when they couldn’t come up with the rent and took it in the shorts. We dumped all our savings into that place. It was inspected by the city and fire dept every year. Worst nightmare of my life the tenants and then the fire. Eventually we sold the building at a great loss I lost 20 years of my retirement we were a small mom and pop business with a large overhead. Sometimes I think of helping people but would never go that route again.

Since pandemic I lost my job,my business been bankrupt,my employee they left me,my savings got empty I'm totally nothing now and I'm living alone but I don't lose my hope that there's God my PROVIDER he knows all my needs so I never worry about those things that I need in my daily life coz I believe that He always make a way to those people that who called His name and He saved them in all the ways...
How does child services let that happen and don't help
They do everyday.then they separate the children from the parents.rip family s apart!! Very sad.our system is so broken.this mother maybe suffering from depression now or even PPD..this creates a unsafe situation for the children extremely...how can our government turn a blind eye??? God bless them abundantly.

Where are her mother, father, brother, sister, cousins? Is there a husband? You can't just park your broken down rv anywhere you want. There's a brother? Your brother won't take you in? Is there a husband who could maybe get a job??? If you or your husband can't make enough money, then learn a trade that will get you a bigger paycheck. We all work this shit out. I've work my ass off my entire life to buy my home and you can't park a broken down rv in front of it.

For the people who would like to help, how can we. Is there a way to help the lady and her children directly? So many creators set up gofundmes just to take the money for themselves! I've even seen them do livestreams and say that any superchats or money sent to their PayPal would be donated to "the cause" whatever the flavor of the day is. It would be nice to help.

How long had their motorhome been parked there? Did they consider using some of the stimulus money to move out of California to a more affordable state or to legal camping?
How was their RV parked on a public street for only 3 hours if it wasn't running?
Exactly I caught that! They towed it because it doesn't run and has probably been sitting in the same spot for months ! How were they hooked up to water and electricity like she claimed?... She did mention her brother called her that they were towing the RV... Were missing a lot to this story....The probability it doesn't have current registration and plates are high as well.. the rv looked very old...
Maybe their friend towed it or they paid a tow company. RVs are very light weight, so it doesn't take much to tow them. Look tiny houses on wheels. They are very heavy, since built like regular stick-built houses, yet people tow them with pick-up trucks.
Terrible situation...did the rv not run so it could b taken to motel she mentioned?

There is low income housing and section 8 available. You just have to apply for it. I got a house in just 6 months when I was homeless with my kids. Rent is based on income so I only pay $50 a month.
