I've been dancing for years maybe my tips will help Stretch as much as you can I try dor 45 mins to an hour but do what time allows When it starts to hurt keep pushing but don't injure yourself Do it every day Your mind will quit a hundred times before your body gives out Usually you will feel pain while stretching but don't go to far
stretching doesnt do as much as flexibility strengthening, so extensions, kicks, arabesques, they all help with flexibility because youre also getting the strength
Your flexibility will change with age. It's a fact of life, but there are ways to stop it. I, myself stretch daily after a warm shower because the muscles are more relaxed and can stretch farther than normal. I do this for about 1/2-1 hour everyday.
so in a class a few in March or whatever, we talk about the similarity of ballet, and gymnastics. I was surprised at how much they were alike in ways. Yes there are diffrences but I was like "I think whoever created gymnastics was trying to sort of don't ballet"
