The Hobgoblin is a far lesser villain by comparison. By introducing the Hobgoblin first it allows Spider-Man a warmup before taking on the much deadlier Green Goblin later.

Spider-Man tas is my favourite Spider-Man show of all time, it was excellent and it’s the number one Spider-Man show I recommend to people who’ve not seen it, it got so many things right and executed it correctly too, and I really want to see it come back and made by the same people who worked on it in the 90s, then it’s like it never ended. Aswell as that Spider-Man’s powers are not perfect, his powers can come and go just like that, can heal him over night and even mutate him against his will, and even turn him into a monstrous creatures that being manspider, which is something that not even the punisher could beat at full power. There's a rumor that Spider-Man is gonna show up on an epispde of X Men 97 and they did put a Daily Bugle easter egg, so maybe that could lead to a revival if it ends up happening
Notes for Spider-Man' 98. 1. Spider-Man and villains must now be allowed to punch, and kick and show some blood. BTAS had that, but more to it is that even as we liked the series, it was painfull not to see any real fighting as in the Marvel comics (and yeah, Spider-Man was really gruesome in the 90's). 2. Not having that suggested Season 6 thing with 1890's London. WT# was that? That feels nothing like Spider-Man. To find Mary Jane, we rather have Spider-Man being forced to visit various comic-book story lines portrayed as "alternate universes" where he must save the day in them various ways to go on. And mid season he have reunited with MJ and all is back in his time. 3. Venom is back and he is an anti-hero still having a small beef with Spider-Man, but is mostly doing his own things unknown to Spider-Man. Carnage is also back and in a 2-3 part episode series, Carnage symbiote is bonded with Spider-Man as in the comics and he is struggling for control and unwillingly hurt people. This causes Venom and The Punisher to go after him. 4. Not so much The Kingpin (even if he is a great character) to be behind things as in the original run, it was to much. And we want the Kingpin to be more dirty criminal like in the comics, smuggling fire arms, drugs etc in the criminal underworld but is to big to take down....yet. 5. An adaption of MAXIMUM CARNAGE must be the season follow up season.
Well, since a lot of what you’re suggesting is mostly more symbiote stuff, I think it would be better if we just got one last season of Spider-Man to tie up the loose ends, like finding mj, and introduce must have villains that never showed up like sandman, the jackal, and the rose (who was already getting set up), and that’s it. Then, make a venom cartoon, (cus at this point, I’m surprised he’s never had one) and do all the maximum carnage stuff there, along with the lethal protector storyline, the future foundation symbioties, and spidey can just guest star in that show.
I personally think I would see a Revival of the MTV Spider-Man and The Spectacular Spider-Man series. Cause the MTV version feels quite real + it gave inspiration to Ultimate sm the vedio game2005. and you can have this series for adults Well maintaining spectacular. for younger yuers
To answer your questions: 1)I would like one more season of the animated series based on the original plans just to wrap things up (though assume X-Men 97 maintains its quality for the first and second season [which from what I hear it is as of ep 5], then I wouldn't be opposed to getting a season 7 as well) 2)Yes Spectacular, BUT only if it is following the original plans (another 26 eps and I think 3 or 4 movies). I say this because people wanted Young Justice to come back and when it did I heard the result was mixed (And had enough elements that I didn't want to come back to watch it) 3)New animated series, yes. This one feels the most unlikely somehow and it is a shame the fanmade season 2 project fell threw. 4)You know, I'd like a Spider-Man 4 but after No Way Home put Tobey Maguire's Spidey is a great spot (married to Mary Jane and seeming to have found the balance between his superhero and normal life), I don't need it. It would be nice to see Mayday Parker in a Spider-Man 4 but No Way Home is enough to reasonabley headcanon her.
As a kid, I hate it when the show ended after I discovered it because they didn’t do any episodes were Spider-Man found MJ while he re-encounters with the green goblin, venom and carnage who were also sucked into this dimension. It’s like back then they didn’t have a better promise for either of them.
I really want to see Spider-Man Unlimited gets it’s Second Season because I want to see what would’ve happened there like the King Carnage idea but that very unlikely to happen so I’m just going to FanFiction it but I’m definitely open for Spider-Man TAS to come back 🙂
X Men 97 is doing so Well Episode 4 Motendo was so Good and Episode 5 will be Up in a Few Hours I can't wait to see it, So Far The Show is Getting Amazing Views so I Think That getting a Revival of Spider Man the Animated Series is a definite, it's not a Question of if but when.
This series needs the same love as X-Men. One it truly never got a proper ending. X-Men? I was ok with the ending of Graduation Day, but the ending of Spider-Man was a cliffhanger. John Semper did do a Kickstarter to give fans his "true ending", but I feel this was a reworked short version of his original idea. I've talked to him and thus far he has not been approached to continue the series
Speaking of potential revivals of '90s Spider-Man and Spectacular, how about a revival/Season 2 of that MTV Spider-Man that got canceled 2 decades ago that people hardly remembered, huh?
@@SantiBarrios Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson from HIMYM himself) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man 's voice for me is one aspect from that animated depiction of the character is what got me. The show in itself felt like a pseudo spin off continuation of Sam Raimi 's first film as Spider-Man 2 would come out a year later 20 years ago. I remember binge watching all the episodes of TNAS 20 years ago as a marathon when the hype around Spider-Man got as huge as it did that summer. Childhood memories at 11-12 in '04.
Man, the ending to this series does not feel like a conclusion at all. I remember as a kid I would get pissed off at the TV because the channel station would start cycling old episodes again instead of picking up from the cliffhanger where Spidey goes away with Madame Web. Back then little kid me had no idea how a tv show production work, I would think someone at the TV station put the wrong episode everytime after that cliffhanger came on, if only little kid me knew there was nothing beyond that last episode.
Even a few fans shaft John Semper Jr. and the TAS writers when it comes to credit for the Spider-Verse idea, claiming that Shattered Dimensions is the "first" Spider-Verse.
Yeah I've always found that to be kinda ironic, since Shattered Dimensions was written by Mark Hoffmeier, who not only was a writer on Spider-Man TAS but he even co-wrote the Spider Verse series finale alongside John Semper Jr, and he's even admitted that he took inspiration from the 90s Spider Verse episodes when writing the script for Shattered Dimensions. So when those fans try to argue that the Spider Verse concept originated from Shattered Dimensions they're still technically proving the point that it really originated from TAS lol
I'm not sure the TAS team should be credited for the Spider-Verse concept, at least not in the sense that this is equivalent to the blatant use of direct storylines/settings/panel-to-screen recreations from the comics without credit as in prior examples. I'm not saying TAS had no influence on future Spider-Verse stories, they for sure did, but even by this point, alternate universe hopping adventures weren't exactly new. Even Marvel had firmly adopted the concept of a multiverse before TAS associated the concept with Spider-Man. It'd be like crediting Jerry Siegel every time you make a superhero story because he co-created Superman. You can't really patent a concept like that. That's not to say the writers of TAS don't deserve major props, but I don't really blame the writers of Into The Spider-Verse or the numerous comic Spider-Verse events for not directly giving them credit just because they created a story that was loosely similar in premise.

There's a rumor that Spider-Man is gonna show up on an epispde of X Men 97 and they did put a Daily Bugle easter egg, so maybe that could lead to a revival if it ends up happening
@@SantiBarrios yes The Spectacular Spider-Man is probably the best representation of the web Slinger but this one was just as good
Yeah no Batman the Animated Series and Gargoyles apparently were allowed to dipict real guns
Except for Peter bonding with Carnage because we've already seen it, I agree.
@@radrno7 Well we did, but it was done so poorly. It gave us nothing of worth. With the new series, we can turn the violance dial up!
Here's another idea for it they could introduce Toxin and have Flash Thompson become his host as a nod to Agent Venom in it.
@@robertkenny1201 Yeah that could work for a 2nd season !!!!
Would be nice to see it get a proper conclusion
Christopher Daniel Barnes is his name, not Christopher Damiel.
Then fantastic 4 and silver surfer
Will be soon.
Yet still adapted gwens death though im happy they only adapted one love interest for simplicity sake
To answer your questions:
1)I would like one more season of the animated series based on the original plans just to wrap things up (though assume X-Men 97 maintains its quality for the first and second season [which from what I hear it is as of ep 5], then I wouldn't be opposed to getting a season 7 as well)
2)Yes Spectacular, BUT only if it is following the original plans (another 26 eps and I think 3 or 4 movies). I say this because people wanted Young Justice to come back and when it did I heard the result was mixed (And had enough elements that I didn't want to come back to watch it)
3)New animated series, yes.
I love Ed Asner as Jameson, but I really wish Stan Lee played JJJ
Episode 5 was an emotional punch to the gut. And it was such a great episode.
Good content
This series needs the same love as X-Men. One it truly never got a proper ending. X-Men? I was ok with the ending of Graduation Day, but the ending of Spider-Man was a cliffhanger. John Semper did do a Kickstarter to give fans his "true ending", but I feel this was a reworked short version of his original idea. I've talked to him and thus far he has not been approached to continue the series
Considering Into the Spiderverse has a TV series in the works I hope we revisit the 90's Spiderman cartoon in that show
Speaking of potential revivals of '90s Spider-Man and Spectacular, how about a revival/Season 2 of that MTV Spider-Man that got canceled 2 decades ago that people hardly remembered, huh?
That show was really underrated, I always loved how Michael Clark Duncan reprised his role as Kingpin from the 2003 Daredevil movie
@@SantiBarrios Even the character models were reminiscent of the Ultimate Spider-Man comics that were out at the time.
that is wrong because batman TAS nad real firearms and made it work.
Hopefully with better editors.
2:13 the best part
Bring back Spider-Man tas!
Marvel spider-man animated series season 6 to finds the real Mary Jane Watson in the pink wormhole limbo in the Disney plus again soon in 2024.
I would kill for a Spider-Man 98
Why Disney doesn’t buy spectacular spider man right and adelaide productions
Why would you want them to?
im not going lie first the spiderman the great web trailer gets leaked then I hear about this
while some of his is new, some of his Ive heard before with he almost same wording.
Nothing wrong with making a cartoon to sell toys. I still collect 90s toybiz Marvel figures
Honestly I would be happy for fans if this got a revival but seething horribly on the inside cuz god dammit why do that and not Spectacular!?
Will he get m.j. back?
Get back here shocker!!!!!
love this animated series but if i have to endure Disney woke agenda to get an answer for the unsolved questions left by this show, rather remmember the show perfect as it was than embrace Disney's "for modern audiences 💩"
Well I have to endure your childish comments, so I am sure you can endure.... whatever you think "woke" is. Everyone seems to think it's something different, so I have no idea what your version is.
For me, if I can get a spiderman show that is even half the quality of Xmen 97 I would be immensely happy.
Define woke.
Spectacular Spider-Man was Amazing 😌. It was just Ugly there childish art style throw me off after the 90’s series. Yet with a BANGING OPENING and impeccable voice cast……( Josh Keaton was Better ) while Barnes was GREAT and is my nostalgia 🥰. Two Magnificent shows, 90’s Spider-Man only surpassed by Batman the animated series 😌.
🙄🙄🙄
Why ruin Spider-Man the way X-men 97 was ruined by Disney?
Mf, have you been watching X-Men 97? This shit is great
Are you on crack? That is not a rhetorical question. Are you? Xmen 97 is so god damn amazing that it is a wonder it exists, that it is better than my nostalgia of the original series.
So I only have one thing to say to you.
The name is Gambit mon ami. Remember it.
