@@orinanime There's the 80's cartoon, the 90's cartoon and Agents of SMASH. Which is the fourth animated Hulk show? If it's Avengers EMH, then that is my favorite version of Hulk outside of the comics, but that is an Avengers show, not a Hulk show. He was barely in season 2.

The only issue I had with Spiderman 1994 was that all the characters in the show was, well ripped and muscular. Hell I bet Aunt May is probably ripped. 😂

Godzilla Mendoza is our universe's Spider-Man. He tries to give it up many times and he's always called upon once again. 2008 aka Spectacular was the last time they actually cared about each character and world building. I can forgive the early years for several reasons but in recent years, with all our technology, we've tumbled back down the mountain and been crushed by the boulders.
This is actually awesome because I non stop watch your reviews for the Spider-Man cartoons on repeat! Now I can just sit back and watch the whole thing

I'd like to point out a big point towards EMH Spidey being Spectacular- in the Spectacular Spider-Man, he has this really great theme that plays every now and then during action scenes, or other key scenes. You can hear this at the end of episodes with the big ol' "Mask in the Sky" image. THEY PLAY THAT THEME RIGHT HERE! 1:50:59

My theory for why future Venom and Carnage can morph like Clayface is that the symbiotes are breaking their bones and moving their insides around deep in the goo. Dulling the pain of the host. I like how the earlier episodes of this retrospective replace the old background with the new one. That's a nice attention to detail and makes this compilation feel more authentic instead of taking all the videos, compiling them, and calling it a day. I tip my fedora to you O' redheaded one.
I unironically love the 81' Spider-Man series. I wasn't around when it originally aired, but I had a handful of the VHS tapes while growing up in the 90s. It's good dumb fun. My favourite epise is the one where Spidey has to battle The Lizard... and a cold.

I keep looking back at The Spectacular Spider-Man realizing that Norman and Goblin, while the same person as it turned out in the end, is the first ever version to NOT be voiced by the same guy. Why didn't the people behind that show trying to do the same thing for Spider-Man & Peter, especially when they are the only two characters in that whole series that were hiding their identities behind the masks? Even Tombstone got in on some of that, even though in his case it was because he unknowingly switched voice actors

During the Superior Spider-Man comic run, all of Spider-Man’s friends do realise something is wrong and continue to push for evidence to oust him. When his arc ended fans demanded he come back which was why he appeared in spider verse and his own solo series
Spectacular is pretty close to perfect in terms of consolidating so many storyline from the comics in a digestible, but effective format, but I owe basically everything to the 1994 series for getting me into the character, exposing me to the serialized method that defines comic book storytelling, and starting me off on comic books alongside X-Men TAS as well. Hope Disney pays attention to how much ass X-Men 97 is kicking right now and gets John Semper Jr. back into things. Even a CDB cameo in 97 would be awesome
I was introduced to Spider-Man thanks to the first Sam Raimi film, but the 90's show exposed more of the "comic bookey side" for me. A teacher gave me a VHS of Spider-Man: Ultimate Villain Showdown since he knew I was super into Spider-Man.
I really want to know what Spectacular was doing with Hobie Brown. Always having him interrupted before he could speak makes me feel like he would've figured out Peter's identity but not sure what else they would do with that
