Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) is a movie about a bored married couple that is surprised to learn that they are both assassins hired by competing agencies to kill each other. According to WhatCulture, Angela was originally supposed to have a bigger role as a villain. The director Doug Liman reportedly had a hard time figuring out the tone of the movie and shot a lot of footage to later choose from, which lead to a lot of it being cut. Originally Terrance Stamp and Jacqueline Bisset were playing the villains tracking the couple down but after that version did not work the scenes were reshot with Keith David and Angela Bassett. Eventually the director made the decision that the movie did not need main villains and the subplot was cut entirely. All that remained of her involvement in the movie is her voice in this scene as Mr. Smith's boss.

If this scene had been kept, would that have meant mr & mrs Smith killed their own bosses so that nobody else would be sent to kill them so they could stay together and not constantly worry about being killed??

Woww one she is a beauty and I love it when she is playing mad. Also this is so sad how Hollywood has failed not only Angela but every Black actress. Why wasn’t this mother’s and father still made into a movie of it own. Like it look very good. Such a waste and missed opportunity.
