Agree! Current FSD doesn't isn't justify $99/m. Too aggressive acceleration which make you very uncomfortable.

@@SMPlaneSpotting I think at one point it used to be $200/mo but I think they are really trying to get more people to subscribe to it.

now you pay very close attention to the road but if you get used to it and start using it more you might start to give less attention and might get into an accident. may be in a year or a two it will be more reliable

@@atulnayak9717 nah I would never not pay attention to the road

which fsd version? 12.5.6.3 is way smoother - this is a old version - you don't have to tug the steering wheel anymore.

yeah I think I just did the software update last night to 12.5.6.3, I filmed this video a few weeks ago so that would make sense. I have about another week left of the trial and a big road trip coming up so I'm going to try it all again.

@@taylordencermedia yourcar doesnt support 12.5.6.3 since it had a prndl stalk. The hardware version 4 model 3's have them but what you have (12.5.4.1 or 12.5.1.1 i think?) is still miles better than 12.3.6 lol

Even on long road trips you really dont need FSD since the basic auto pilot does about the same thing. FSD is still way too buggy for me, it changes lanes when I don't want it to, it once in awhile will phantom brake on freeways and turn right into oncoming traffic for no reason. I love the Tesla but this FSD is just not a good thing.

Does the basic auto pilot also change lanes? I'll have to play around with auto pilot, I've never used it before.
I have heard about the phantom braking though, that sounds really scary.

@@taylordencermedia Basic does not do lane change even if you signal. When I first got my Tesla it had a feature you could turn on that would change lanes if you signaled but that, I think is a paid add-on and I think I had it as a promotion along with my FSD promotion. Basic auto pilot keeps up with traffic and you can adjust the speed and it keeps the set distance behind the car in front of you and now will come to a stop at stop signs but it wont start again when light changes green so it's really most useful on freeways on long trips. I'd wait until the FSD supervised expires to test out auto pilot because i think auto pilot is a bit different when you have FSD.

@ thanks for the info! I’m going on a long trip in about a week so definitely going to use FSD before the trial ends.
