Hi everyone! This is John’s mom and I just had to tell you all how much I’ve enjoyed reading all of your comments - especially the one that said I was ‘cool’!!! 😂. Maybe next time you can watch me driving my own Tesla!
You're mom surely enjoyed the ride, she's got a youthful attitude and she's going to get a Tesla, a little worrying that she was going to run a stop sign in the beginning tho, probably distracted by the screen. She should / you should start FSD from a stationary / parked position imo. Your Dad was so impressed too - autonomy is the way to go.... Have a great Christmas and a prosperous and Healthy new year! Thanks for sharing!
@FSDunsupervised Yeah it's their safety that's most important and FSD isn't quite there yet, but imo human error and disobeyance of the rules of the road is the main cause accidents - the touch screen could be an issue for older people as there's not so much conductivity in their fingers - not sure if you can increase the sensitivity on Tesla's touch screens?
Great video showing off new people to FSD. Couple of things. When you are choosing the store you want to navigate to, don't hit the push pin to the right of the address unless you want to see info about the destination. Also, if you know where you are gong to is the nearest one, just say "navigate to nearest publix" and it will start navigation immediately without showing the 10 closest stores in order. I hope your Mom gets one. I love mine and FSD is getting really good now. I use it to drive me 30 mins to and from work every day with very few interventions.
