- This is a AIR power system that pump water upward and above the surface.
It is called AIRLIFT system...
This build cost me like nothing ..any fish keeper have these supplys..very easy to build and most importantly it works Preeti good...
This system will lower your power consumption of your tank, because only air pump will do the needful
1. Airration and water surface scumming to oxygenated the tank
2. Pump water to the top filter.
3. Collect waste from the bottom..

Good idea and this can be used for temporary setup or hospital tank.
However, for a tank that you have precious fish in, you may as well just buy a commercial filter or at least something stronger like a powerhead, and direct the water to whatever kind of filtering box that you want.

you need good air pressure to lift water and u can also remove the air stone. and by this type airlift u can lift 3 to 3.5 inch from the water level
Do I need to put holes in the pipe and where to put the airstone to the bottom of pipe?
No need to drill hole...just put the airline from the top output and push that to the end

No it will not work for such big water volume...use canister or sump for that 4 feeter

Air bubbles help push the water up the pipe.
The height, I don't know, but it can work. Just don't expect to go too high, but at least in this video, it looks like the height was OK (or the pump was very powerful).

I also have this type but this can be secondary filter n not main one, bcoz more speed per hour makes your water clean so think Bro...........
You r right bro.. in my opinion it flows more water than a medium sponge filter. but it will work pretty good for 1.5 to 2 feet tank ... If you do at least 50-60% water change weekly...

Hi dear concept is nice but only for the once who have spare air pump otherwise why not buy a power head which can suck the dirt from tank floor ?
This system works good for 1 to 1.5 ft tank... Yes power head will also do that...my concept was to create a filter which will not consume extra power...

U r right but if I have a running airpump which blows other tank then why use more power to filter just a 1 or 1.5 ft tank.why use extra 5 watt of power when I run several tanks.

U r again right but air stone can't do a job of filter. Yes energy can neither be created nor destroyed it can only be converted from other. It's a universal thing. and here I am only using the extra air pressure to filter out one of my small tank that's all.

No surface agitation
No oxigen exchange
By this condition your fish could not survive more than 1 or 2 days..
@@happyfishkeeping1490 ohk thanks but i do need electrical connection to power the pump of the filter and we have many power cutts of 20mins - 6 hrs so will the die because of those power cutts?
5 to 6 hrs is preety ok...it will not effect so much...if u hv longer powercut then add 10 % water every 1-2 hrs depending on your tank to regain oxigen level
@@RickyRicky-002 This kind of filter is good for places with power outage. Once the power comes back on, the pump will start working immediately.
Compared to some other filters that need to be primed with water to start working again.
In your kind of situation with power outage, you can use this idea or use powerhead kind of idea, to help filter water.

Sory Sir, your Airlift system need to be described more, I only see you connecting some pipes, and you on a switch...I don't see any clear information about how the system works...

You can also check other videos about the airlift type of water movement, in your language. Once you see those and understand them, this video also makes more sense, even if it's not in your language of choice.

As u r a fish keeper u should know a air bubbler is pretty much compulsory to any fish tank..so I do not use extra electricity for power head to run my top filter
