Trail boss is the best all around truck on the market. It does everything well.

I went trail boss custom it was less money and still does what i need . I also put ppf on the whole nose to make sure I’d get no chipping then i did a ceramic coating. Mines a 22 refresh and I’m more than satisfied with it.

I had a 22 Z71 LT LTD that I traded for a 23 High Country. The Z71 was a good truck, but the High Country with magna-ride and the 360 camera system is fantastic.

Difference in bumper treatment if due to super cruise. From my understanding the sensors for super cruise system is in the bumper and take up room; hence the smaller corner step area.

I have a 2022 lt trail boss and love it! And just ordered a new zr2

Either way if you like mileage get the diesel, I went trail boss and often wonder if the high country with 3.73 gears would have been better for me however if I would have went with the high country I would probably wish I had the trailboss. I get 27 highway Mpg and love my trailboss.

If you use off road for work like a farm truck, driving over center pivot irrigation tracks, tall weeds, mud, etc, Trail Boss way to go. But if mostly highway, I’d go High Country because it is easier to get in and out and will get better MPG than Trail Boss no matter what engine you have because not lifted. And I’d get 3.0 DuraMax no matter which one I got. I have 2024 ZR2 with 3.0 and love it!

I see both those trucks in the city. Country trucks are usually 10-20+ year old work truck variants that look the part.

Smaller rear steps on High Country is due to proper function of the Super Cruise function

Getting in and out was one of the many reasons I got rid of my '22 2500 and went to a '23 1500. I would take the High Country over the Trail Boss in this situation based purely on the price. I wouldn't pay the premium for the Boss in this comparison. I'm not a huge fan of the black on black look either, though. For the same price I feel like I'd opt for the TB yet at this point in my life. As long as it felt decent getting in and out of it. I'm 6' so I don't see it being as big an issue as my 2500 was.

right now the High Country costs less in the Phoenix area. I have a 23 LT Z71 and I bottomed out last week on a trail. So I would go with the Trail Boss.

I would choose the High Country model, but in a,different color. I have a black Silverado now and it's a hassle trying to keep it clean.

which one would I rather? The high country because its probably the most expensive so I would turn around and sell it to buy a new 2024 Colorado Trail Boss that I would spec out with almost option and package to be $51,270 and take the over $20K left from selling the High Country and put that in my pocket, to buy a Toy Hauling RV

Back looking at the Chevy 1500’s cancel the dodge and go trailboss duramax I love mine and I know the day will come,if it hasn’t already when you will miss the 3.0 diesel!!

I just love the way you two play off each other.
I will take the Black one, only because I heard (Commenter Privaledge -- not a real fact) that the Orange one has a GPS Speedometer and in Canada, they have REALLY LONG tunnels
Personnaly, I have to agree with Jill, no one would chase her -- while she is adoarable, she also would kick the spurs right off boots of the dude that messed with her. (yes, she is that tough)
Great Video -- As they say, it is better on the water -- oh no wrong channel -- See You Down the Road.

I think the rear corner steps are different. Because high country has super cruise and the trail boss doesn’t. There must be a sensor somewhere near them.

Tim, could you at least mention the treadwear, traction and temperature ratings on the tires that come with the truck? Its a critical component of the vehicle and allows the consumer to compare model to model and maker to maker. Thanks

2:43 There's a handle that's about 1¼ Ciminillos high. At least GM was trying. Most manufacturers don't give one in driver's position.

I've got a Rough Country under seat storage, guns fit fine. I can't understand why they put those useless Dueler tires on a TB 🙄.

Too much gloss black exterior surfaces on both. I prefer the more traditional chrome bumpers and door handles like I have on my 2023 GMC SIERRA 1500 SLT.

She can barely see over the hood. There's a 20ft invisible zone in front. It would be nerve-wracking in the city or parking lots. I wouldn't want to look at a monitor to see what is around me or have to rely on parking sensors. Before you buy something like this better try it out for a few days.
