I am 71 and have been taking turmeric as well as other vitamins for years. I do not have a weight issue and I stay active most of the time. I very rarely have a joint issue and as long as I am exercising regularly I feel great. I have always been athletic and it’s essential to keep at it. I feel that most folks once they get up in age, give up thinking that it’s hopeless and it’s not. I was gone for almost three weeks and didn’t do my weights but walked a bunch. When I got home I noticed my muscle mass in my arms and chest looked terrible. Two weeks later I’m back to regular step climbing and weights and have rebounded quickly. Now, I have been going to my dermatologist for years and she’s had to freeze several spots on my face but about four years ago she told me about the studies and results of taking Niacinamide(Vitamin B3)and amazingly after taking it for this short time I hardly ever have to have a spot frozen so I really believe in this supplement. The other supplements I take in pill form are Vitamin D, Vitamin B Complex, Flaxseed Oil, Magnesium, Olive Leaf extract and Ashwagandha. Thanks for your great insights! Chris

Thank you for mentioning that vitamin K1 and K2 do different things. K1 is for coagulation, K2 acts like a traffic cop, directing the calcium in your bloodstream into the bones and teeth. If you take vitamin *D3,* your calcium will increase, so it's vital that you also take *K2* so that calcium goes to the right places, and doesn't end up as nodules in soft tissues like blood vessels and organs.

Recent research show that Iron and vitamin E have never really gotten pass the blood barrier making it useless and a waste of money.. also low iron is not a bad thing, it’s actually a direct reflection of the body using up more iron than not using it, iron oxidases and too much iron accelerates oxidation in the body… if you are stuck to your iron supplement, make sure to take an antioxidant to counteract the excess of iron oxidation. Vitamin E through foods are the best and most optimal option to get your vitamin E. Hope this helps. Research is always evolving, luckily we know now what is worth the time and money and what isn’t.

    Awesome piece thanks Doctor!
It's very important to remember though, vitamin C is temperature-sensitive, meaning it is easily degraded during cooking. Unless eaten raw, those vegetable sources will not provide for any vitamin C. Also, it degrades over time within the vegetables, so for example if you buy oranges from a source where fruits are kept in a fridge for months, there will be no vitamin C either...

@@theelizabethan1 Don't get caught up in that nonsense. Vitamin C IS ascorbic acid. Specifically ascorbic acid is what has all the integral biological functions. A special type of white blood cell literally fills itself up with ascorbic acid over 50 times the concentration of in blood and goes around where infection and damage is and kills the infection with the fenton reaction with vitamin C and neutralizes the free radicals on site(inflammation). Ascorbic acid is the molecule essential in use to the body. It is the water that literally puts out the fires all over the body. Anytime the body is under stress cortisol is released which drastically increases ascorbic acid absorption and utilization. The other stuff these people claim is the outer shell and part of vitamin C is helpful but is not essential to human biology.

Something that REALLY SURPRISED ME on the skin? A LIVER CLEANSE! I'm on week two of a liver cleanse, and my skin looks AUH-MAZING! I keep looking at it because it's so hard to believe! It's so tight and clear. Clean your liver!! I eat a pretty clean diet - and it also helps. I take VItamin C two or more times a day in a powder form - it's a plant-based Vit C, so it has no synthetic or fake anything in it - that has also been a game-changer. I use it topically as well... but diet, cleansing on the inside - kidneys, liver, colon, lots of water - you can literally eat a good amount of your water in plants - fruit and veggies. The difference is amazing. BUT clean your liver!! That is a radical change, even for the cleanest eaters!

    • @appletile2887
      @appletile2887 2 роки тому

Eyebags usually have something to do with the liver and kidneys. Look up what vits are good for each and take them for about 6 weeks to see the effect.
Drink WATER to flush the toxins from your body ....this is very important.
Stop eating packaged and junk foods and NO MORE pops or sugar
Also.......if you can't afford to buy a distiller for water buy distilled water and it is very important to add Himalayan Salt to it, because everything has been taken out of the water. You need to replace the minerals.
Regular salt doesn't do this but Himalayan salt does. It has salt plus all the minerals our body needs.
      Good Health

Love your emphasis on supplements for skin. I have been following alternative medicine for 60 years and know it worked for my health in so many ways. I am constantly told how great my skin is (even after neglect) and that I look so young (comparatively of course). Of course vitamins, minerals and other plant foods and supplements are very important in Alternative Medicine and until recently vitamins and supplements have been so important for me but COVID really disrupted my daily habits. I sit too much, don't take supplements on a regular basis, and rarely exercise. My skin shows the inattention I give it. So I'm getting back into my routine about skin care and love your videos that give us the most current ideas on what really works.

Try yoga. It's so much more than just exercise, it calms the mind, soothes the soul, & actually each specific pose massages all your internal organs.

Cinnamon is the skin of the tree.
    Cinnamon can rejuvenate your skin.
    Honey never spoils.
    You are what you eat.
Honey cinnamon is a great mix.
Grapes have a smooth glossy texture.
Plums have a smooth glossy texture.
According to my logic, grapes and plums should be two great fruits for the skin.
(Thin skinned, shiny, soft, smooth grapes and plums = shiny, soft, smooth healthy human skin.)
    Fish have smooth skin.
Eating fish and drinking fish oil can rejuvenate the skin.
Maybe massaging the skin with fish oil can be helpful.
Swimming in the sea can beautify the skin.
It was very cold last night.
I went into the bathroom and took a shower with incredibly cold water.
When I got out of the bathroom, I noticed that my skin was red.
    So the result is:
The fastest way to increase blood circulation in your skin pores is to take a shower with ice-cold water.
It's not easy to take a shower with cold water. Especially in winter, this is very difficult.
Every good result is associated with difficulties....
Fish live in cold water and have smooth taut skin.
Try applying bay leaf tea to your acne with the help of a cotton ball.
For headaches, massage the veins on your forehead with bay leaf tea.
There are terrific claims about hydrogen peroxide and bay leaf.
The claim is this: drop 5 drops of hydrogen peroxide into a glass of water and drink it.
No matter how much you drink, repeat this practice whenever you want to drink water.
Chew a few bay leaves every day and get rid of all your diseases.
And consume bay leaf in the form of tea.
Additional information: The rate of hydrogen peroxide you will get from the pharmacy should be 3 percent.
Pregnant women should not use bay leaves.
Showering with cold water can be risky for the heart.
I don't know English. I hope I made understandable sentences with google translate.

The UV rays aren’t that bad in the AM, the red light at sunrise is actually regenerating. And it sets your circadian rhythm. Sunscreen is crucial for midday UV rays though

Can you please do a video on Shilajit and bicarbonate Magnesium? I sometimes take MitoLife panacea for Shilajit and pristine hydro bicar magnesium water. I’m almost 40 and 3 kids, people think I’m early 20s. One time renting skis in Tahoe, the guy thought I was 17! Lol I’m a licensed cosmetologist since 21 so I’ve been taking care of my skin for a long time and since 2014 researched food/wellness. You are what you eat.
It was so nice to watch this video!
Definitely reminded me to take my supplements mentioned! I don’t always take supplements now, eating a clean diet is best but on days I wanna eat InNout burgers, it’s good to know what to take for my skin! Thanks for the info!!
