I take 11 vitamins every week for my blood building regimen and iron deficiency. Iron, vitamin C Folic acid, thiamine Vitamin D3, zinc Vitamin E, magnesium Super B complex, Co Q-10 and Niacin...
Recent research show that Iron and vitamin E have never really gotten pass the blood barrier making it useless and a waste of money.. also low iron is not a bad thing, it’s actually a direct reflection of the body using up more iron than not using it, iron oxidases and too much iron accelerates oxidation in the body… if you are stuck to your iron supplement, make sure to take an antioxidant to counteract the excess of iron oxidation. Vitamin E through foods are the best and most optimal option to get your vitamin E. Hope this helps. Research is always evolving, luckily we know now what is worth the time and money and what isn’t.

Vitamins and supplements are essential for skin, also make sure your hormones are balanced too, because hormonal imbalance can cause various skin conditions.
Awesome piece thanks Doctor! It's very important to remember though, vitamin C is temperature-sensitive, meaning it is easily degraded during cooking. Unless eaten raw, those vegetable sources will not provide for any vitamin C. Also, it degrades over time within the vegetables, so for example if you buy oranges from a source where fruits are kept in a fridge for months, there will be no vitamin C either...
Excellent caveats! I eat lots of vegetables and fruits but I basically gave in and now take one 500mg tablet of ascorbic acid daily, for the reasons you cited. I break it in half and take it in two doses, morning and evening, to keep blood levels elevated.🌸
@@theelizabethan1 Don't get caught up in that nonsense. Vitamin C IS ascorbic acid. Specifically ascorbic acid is what has all the integral biological functions. A special type of white blood cell literally fills itself up with ascorbic acid over 50 times the concentration of in blood and goes around where infection and damage is and kills the infection with the fenton reaction with vitamin C and neutralizes the free radicals on site(inflammation). Ascorbic acid is the molecule essential in use to the body. It is the water that literally puts out the fires all over the body. Anytime the body is under stress cortisol is released which drastically increases ascorbic acid absorption and utilization. The other stuff these people claim is the outer shell and part of vitamin C is helpful but is not essential to human biology.
Vitamin D living in the PNW, I take 2000iu daily during the spring and summer months, titrating up in fall and winter 5000iu. It's so tight and clear. Clean your liver!! I eat a pretty clean diet - and it also helps. I take VItamin C two or more times a day in a powder form - it's a plant-based Vit C, so it has no synthetic or fake anything in it - that has also been a game-changer. I use it topically as well... but diet, cleansing on the inside - kidneys, liver, colon, lots of water - you can literally eat a good amount of your water in plants - fruit and veggies. The difference is amazing. BUT clean your liver!! That is a radical change, even for the cleanest eaters!

I take 11 vitamins every week for my blood building regimen and iron deficiency.
Iron, vitamin C
Folic acid, thiamine
Vitamin D3, zinc
Vitamin E, magnesium
Super B complex, Co Q-10
and Niacin...
Remember these are meant to supplement food. So make sure you are consuming foods that give you these nutrients as you supplement.
Take folate instead of folic acid.

Vitamins and supplements are essential for skin, also make sure your hormones are balanced too, because hormonal imbalance can cause various skin conditions.
Where can I buy the vitamin that has all the necessary ingredients in one supplement
@@laurieparis2203 Ascorbic Acid is only the outer shell is of the Vitamin C molecule.
@@theelizabethan1 Hi Wren! I've heard that before, not sure what it means exactly. Could you clarify, please? Thx!😊
Very true
I would add PQQ & CoQ10. They work together. PQQ helps the DNA keep from breaking down. There are some skin care products that have it in there.

Vitamin D living in the PNW, I take 2000iu daily during the spring and summer months, titrating up in fall and winter 5000iu.
I recently had a serum vitamin D level and it was 47.5ng/dL the high end of therapeutic range (up to 50ng/dL) so I didn’t have too much even at the above levels of supplementation. Living in the northern hemisphere where our daylight can be minimal and often overcast. I’ve also taken vitamin C twice daily. I take collagen with my vitamin C, as it facilitates the absorption of the collagen.
I lived in the PNW for 7 years. I bumped up to 10,000iu. Not having the full sun was making me depressed.
I take D3 50000IU with K2 and magnesium. My D3 level is >120ng/ml. The scale ende at that level :-)
Silica is also important for holding collagen together, absorbing collagen and working synergistically to build it. It’s required for building collagen and keeping connective tissues healthy and elastic
I used to have guttate psoriasis, which is chicken pox-like red spots all over the skin. It was latent in my dna and triggered by stress. Once I eliminated the stressor, my spots reduced, and once I went on anti-depressants, the spots went away completely. I haven't had any now for three years.

Something that REALLY SURPRISED ME on the skin? A LIVER CLEANSE! I'm on week two of a liver cleanse, and my skin looks AUH-MAZING! I keep looking at it because it's so hard to believe!

Drink WATER to flush the toxins from your body ....this is very important.
Stop eating packaged and junk foods and NO MORE pops or sugar
Also.......if you can't afford to buy a distiller for water buy distilled water and it is very important to add Himalayan Salt to it, because everything has been taken out of the water. You need to replace the minerals.
Regular salt doesn't do this but Himalayan salt does. It has salt plus all the minerals our body needs.

Love your emphasis on supplements for skin. I have been following alternative medicine for 60 years and know it worked for my health in so many ways.
