You guys really need to do these 1v1 on 6p maps more. I enjoyed these matches so much. They give me a StarCraft 2 vibe: Massive army, late game units, multitasking harassments all over place. What’s even better than SC2 is that RA3 doesn’t have a unit cap.
Looking back, I sent the message about this show match on March 23. I've been waiting for a little over 2 months for this and I was definitely excited to finally have the replays.
The reason for the concede in the last game, at the end, in addition to vindies doing more overall damage with his aircraft carriers since he also took out tech and production, was because Walf's army was as good as dead. ALL of his ground army mech was EMPed and caught on the bridge while vindies was moving forward infantry to target down the bridgehouse. If the game had last 15 more seconds, you would have seen 3 athena cannons and a mirage tank fall into the water as the bridge collapsed.
That first match... it was the epic final battle between Allies and Empire. More climatic than the actual campaign finale lol. This is a bit of a tangent, and also *spoilers* for the rest of the video, but something that I have come to realize, after watching many Bo9s recently, is that once a player achieves a 3-0 or 3-1 lead, they have already won the best of 9 like... 90% of the time. People very rarely make the big comeback, and that's because they become tired, they make more mistakes, they are behind so they are likely a bit more demoralized than the winning player, who just has to hold the fort, so they are just bleeding out until the winning player completes the clean sweep. Once a player is losing by 2-0, they _have_ to win the next two games or they are just done, unless they have superhuman fortitude and determination. But either way, good games to both players, very fun series, and very fun map choices and casting by you Sybert! Thank you very much!
Damn, that first game with the Shogun battleship armada! Vindies could have ended it right there if the remembered that he has a shit load of Tengus that could kill off those cryocopters lol.
Man, what a back and forth on this first match! Almost an entire hour and this is supposed to be a Best of 9 in 2 hours? I keep thinking to myself, how are the next games gonna fit?! XDDDD
Vindies micro is off from pre 2016 which is rational knowing he’s long gone. But, I can tell he is claim and calculated as always by how precise he understands the costs and damage output of units to slowly roll up edges in battles.
haha, the first game reminds me when we played 3v3 on magma, but with spots for example two players of team 1 take 2 spots on top and 1 on mid, and same with team 2 just bottom :D
1:14:34 Others' Tengu: Hovers right through walls to kill an engineer and clutch save their commander's Mecha Bay My Tengu: Stands flipping right next to the Dojo exit and somehow doesn't have line of sight on the engineer, stares at it for 3 seconds and loses the Mecha Bay anyways 1:16:35 When both you and your opponent are on top of Tengu micro but all your Tengus are on Death's list.
Why do you always change "th" to that p letter Just outta curiosity, is it like your keyboard or because its read like that in your language and you are used to it Dont take me wrong but sometimes I struggle reading your comments because of it but I end up remembered its "th"
Phew, what a series. Sybert, I hope you take breaks between replays because I know my voice wouldn't last two of those! Anyway, I don't know about you guys, but whenever I see an Empire player spamming Tengus I immediately switch to rooting for the other player.
He's been playing off an and on over the last year and half. As far as I know he never came back full time just showed up for some events and played some games online.
@@OneSybert my guess would be that dauphin refered to the medieval title of the throne heir, rather than the animal. But then again, dolphins are pretty warlike in RA3...
You give an attack command and then press the S key to stop the unit. The timing has to be precise, but with practice you and split all three bombs to different targets quickly. Lag can mess it up though.
Hey, Sybert could you maybe make longer antispoilers? Because it we only have 15-20 minutes left, the games' outcome still remains partially predicable
Um.. Unless they have a special mod or something the first map had to happen something like that. Unless told otherwise the game will always put player opponents on the opposite sides of maps and player allies as close as possible. Which is weird and sucks sadly
Vindies, hvis det er du dukker jer i en af videoerne, bare smid mig dit nummer, så kan det være vi kan mødes. Jeg er med i en af videoerne - er det ikke bare enormt spændende

And RA3 units tend not to ball up as much as starcraft units. I would say this game actually looks better in terms of battle.
First game was the most fun ra3 gameplay I've watched in a while.
I cringed so hard on all the dumb mistakes of the Empire Player lol
Vindies in 1st game: Hey, if Dimon managed to switch to Empire then I can do it too
Vindie power is Allies an alway has be
Haven't finished it, but love the excitement in your voice in this one

Somebody needs to host an event for double-tech 1v1s. I'm dying to see such a thing
Sounds like a XYHC project.

Yeah but without our best boi Sybert casting what's the point

that engineer popping out from a tree is hilarious.
Game 1 shogun play gives me physical pain
Well, a deserved one. He couldn't properly negate the strength of The Allied Navy's aircraft carriers.
My God 2 hour cast thank you!
thank you for torturing these people for our entertainment
Some diversity in the map picks LET'S GO!
Forced new map picks!
@@OneSybert Even better!
I was screaming for someone to take their fleet around the map in the 1st game

Easily top 3 series of games , this had everything
Great game gg to both players and great cast Sybert.🎉
Is Vindies back? Or does he play only once a year?
He's been playing off an and on over the last year and half. As far as I know he never came back full time just showed up for some events and played some games online.
Hey Sybert! You're doing this on purpose with the names, right? Au Revoir Reservoir, LeDauphin and especially SpirituMagno! 😅😂
SpiritualMango was definitely on purpose.
LeDauphin I’m just translating to English.
Bur, Au Revoir Reservoir is just difficult to say.

Wow gg to vindies that hold on the game with tier 1 & 2 , but if he using king oni kinda believe he will win this

Gotta appreciate the anti spoiler. Sybert doing a great job as always

Unrelated but are there any reasons why people aren't playing RA3 Uprising as opposed to vanilla RA3?
It doesn't have multiplayer

This game needs Dimon
great job Sybert !!!
kylo ren: Mooorreee !!! MOOOOOOoooOOOoreee !!!

why didnt vindies make king onis on the first game?
Attack-move would have got the job done.
Those allied casualties are horrific.
