15:28 in RA2 they actually can use Nuclear reactors as weapons. Since all factions finish the construction first like Allies in RA3, They can just DROP a Nuclear reactor on to the battlefield.
Noone is gonna do it in normal games due to cost and the time it takes to explode, but in very small maps designed for weird matches, you can see a base crawl of Nukes.
With all those heavy tank armies and lack of anti infantry i was expecting at least a couple of tesla troupers to lock down some apoc tanks.

This was a really epic game. Since Soviets is really weakest faction in RA3, their players ought to have perfect control to oppose Empire ana Allies. And Soviet mirror is when true skill play kicks in. That is why this game is so action-packed.
We were aware of Greenalert, but the LAG player proved to be a formidable opponent.

What a great game! It's so fresh to see Apocs, Natashas and Superweapons being actually used. Feels like both players are here for the fun, not some ultra-pro optimal strategies.
Iron curtain was kept getting postponed at the side of Lag. He could have apply it on top of Mig's to trade out all of Green alert's air units.
I gotta believe that some of these plays are next level AI and not in any way human!
I honestly love games without Empire in it. Not that I hate Empire or anything, but it forces the game into a very predictable state due to how Empire plays. When there isnt an empire, we get stuff like this. And hoooobooy its a kicker.
There's someone else on this video who said they like games without Allies.
@@OneSybertI feel like the main issues with RA3 balance can be described as:
Tengu is too flexible, yet Empire depends on it
Cryocopter benefits massively from good micro while diminishing the opponent's ability to micro
Twinblade has too much burst firepower for a unit that can easily be massed, and has the flexibility of anti-infantry and transport
I also believe that there should be units with reasonable bulk/health per cost besides anti-vehicle vehicles and anti-infantry infantry. The health/cost should be smoothed over a bit.
@@JWQweqOPDH The Tengu point is why I made my comment. Since they are so good and Empire has so few alternatives, when you play/watch a skilled Empire player, you know you are going to see Tengus as the primary army unit. As such, theres only a few units you need to build to combat them, and whats left over, are few and far between; why build something that cant combat Tengus effectively, or defend against them?
@@soulofmen It's less that the Tengu are 'too good' and it's more that other units that could've shared their space are genuine garbage (sea-wing). The Empire is crippled and their awful balance on unmodded RA3 is taking the other factions down with them
