I explained dynamic in reverse/opposite, so it starts more snappy and doesnt accelerate as quickly the more you move it which makes it smoother.
Thanks, I was like that is not how it feels like. I switched from standard to dynamic to kinda offset the aim assist slowdown. Aim assist with standard curve made me to slow to track my targets in medium close range. With Dynamic it's easier to keep up with targets. Rotational aim assist is so broken btw lol

Also, keep in mind if you want to go faster with your sensitivities, make sure to turn down your low and high ADS sensitivity’s. So if you go to like 15/15, turn your low zoom down to like .55. High to .75.

@@armandomarquez2517 Because your ads multiplier scales with your sensitivity. For instance 1.00 ads with 5/5 is slower than 1.00 ADS with 15/15

8/8 dynamic. Standard aim assist 1.00 high & low zoom. Switched from bumper jumper to bumper jumper flipped. Ridiculous how much more accurate I am with analog sticks once I got used to using the bumpers to ads and shoot. Having high and low at 1.00 made it easier for my mind muscle memory since it feels like the same sensitivity aiming down sight and hip fire.
Great video 👍🏻. There is one thing that could have also been covered and that’s whether the slow down speed of aim assist varies between sensitivity levels and the types of aim response curves. Is there a difference there you might have noticed?

@@mistakzwermade that‘s what I was playing on and I also didn‘t feel comfortable on. I always thought I have to reduce it to hit my shots better but then I bumped it up to like 14 just for fun and I actually did better lol. Now I play on 12/12 and I think this is my sweet spot for 80 fov

I would love to see a video of how the other persons movement affects aim assist not just your own. Could be interesting
That would be quite a hard thing to test. You can't predict a players movement in any given situation, or the skill of that player which may affect the moves that they have in their arsenal (b hops, drop shots, snaking/strafe crouching). Maybe you could test simple slides and jumps but that doesn't encompass all that you would encounter as you play.

@@zPinge He said "movement", as one word it includes all movements and if you are someone like jgod who admits his movements is nowhere close to a JoWoe would have a different set of movements and patterns in a gunfight. You can't just say let me see how strafing affects aim assist, then test b hopping, then test sliding, then slide canceling, etc., because with the level of movement of someone like Jo you won't be able to predict what form of movement he will use in any given gunfight let alone react to it. He may slide cancel into a b hop with 2 hops, or a b hop with 3 hops. How do you test all possible combinations of movement?
Yeah I've noticed parachuting players have the stickiest lock on. Which can hurt you if the bullet velocity doesn't match where the lock on is.
Thanks a lot for this video. But I think you're wrong about dynamic response curve :it's faster at the begining then tend to slow down at the middle then faster again. It is the best for snappy movements but not for micro adjustments (where the standard is the best) ..

I like the chart and it would be nice to be able to a little but more data on the ADS multiplier. For example. I’m at 110 fov and play at 6-6 with .75 ADS. It would be awesome to have a chart that shows “at this fov, I want to increase my sens to be able to move and look around faster, but want to know exactly what multiplier I need to lower my ADS to for it to feel relatively the same when aiming down sight”. I know it would be a big chart with various FOVs and multipliers but at least maybe in increments of 10. (120,110,100,90,80.. 1,.9,.8,.7,.6,.5)

I had my FOV scale aim assist disabled and I was having trouble aiming inside buildings for close range combat and enabled it now it's much easier to land my shots while strafing and rotating.
Hey good video, Just as an FYI theres a formula I use when i adjust the sens so it won't impact the ADS multiplier. Very simple to do.. Ex. I play 12/12 sens with .87 (low) and .86 (high). Multiply respectively 12x.87=10.44, 12x.86=10.32. If I were to ever adjust my sens i would basically do the same formula to get the same numbers of 10.44 (low) and 10.32 (high). I like to feel snappy so I increase sens and lower the ADS multiplier so it won't impact aim. I also use Dynamic which at longer ranges tends to feel steadier.

I was under the impression dynamic was the opposite of standard. Meaning the Sense is Higher at the start and the acceleration decrease slowly as you move your joystick.
No, but elite controllers have that setting.
Yes that is exactly what it is. XclusiveAce did a similar video a while ago showing it is snappy to start then the acceleration decreases the more you push across. It has the least amount of acceleration of all of them which makes it feel consistent.

Standard Response Curve with Precision aim assist work well together(for me anyway) it snaps to people like crazy

Something that would be interesting to test is: Do you have higher movement speed while stun if your sensitivity is high, so basically can you mitigate the effect of a stun with high sens?

Precision and Focusing both have rotational aim assist, but you need to be moving your right stick at least slightly. I just discovered this recently. May not show up in your "lab" way of testing aim assist with a static enemy, but go put on rookie bots and you'll see it's there, undeniably.

From what i found playing on controller , you should just keep moving, no matter where you are, even when you're waiting just strafe into a wall, peeking a window? Strafe out side the window but don't go out, you get insane aa if you do this, that should probably be nerfed
It's like the hit box becomes the full screen, even in gulag or parachuting, I'm like 'wish that would happen when I'm aiming at an enemy Haha
Inside a couple meters it doesn't look like you're tracking anymore so much as picking a hitbox and avoiding positioning that causes targets to cross each other.

I disagree I think with some things in the video but overall it was all spot on to make players better, the dynamic is more like an exponential curve and I don't think they have an actual exponential curve in the game which I wish they did, and I think the standard is an actual power curve like as in an arch, being slow and going higher and higher then slowing down again at the end because if you test the response curve vs apex legends it feels nothing like an exponential curve and dynamic feels way closer.
i play on 10 x and y dynamic on the controller on standard aim assist always have, you pretty much want to keep your ads at 50% though in my opinion, to be able to both snap to targets easier with faster reaction time and still have full accuracy of being only at 50% sense so if i play 5 x and y I put my ads on 2.0 but since I play 10 I leave it on 1.0 and just play 50% speed all around.

@@ezragoldberg3132 well I guess fov is a factor as well right? Controller on pc is different to controller on console because of that by the sounds of it
@@theunderpantsgnome not really. FoV just scales everything so it’s smaller. I can’t speak to KB+M on console, but have dabbled with controller on both. There’s less visible recoil, but the targets are proportionally smaller as well. Same thing goes for these aim assist features.
Precision aim assist also snaps more on head, chest and stomach and less on arms. But standard is still better
ive tried using precision a few times as it claims it is for more accurate players. The stickiness was blatant but I was actually losing a lot of gunfights close quarters because it felt like as soon as i got within the bubble my sights just stopped moving because of the insane slowdown. Of course you could tweak and if played on enough I would get used to but it seems like the concept of having something more sticky on a players body would be for less accurate people. Also weird since the one for "new players" that have bad aim is pretty much identical which just doesn't make sense.

I was using dynamic aim response curve type for the longest time, but I watched Dillster using Linear and I tried it and it feels a lot better for me personally
I’ve been on linear (14-14) since the start and feels great
I have been toying w/ my settings since downloading this game. I have yet to find a balance I've been consistently good with, I'm a streaky player who has more bad days than good. Lately your videos have been hitting hard and the changes I've been implementing have been allowing my K/D to finally rise. For some reason, not sure why....I've been playing scale w/FOV. This video really helped me understand the benefits of scaling w/ out the fov and I'm pumped to see if there is any positive impact to my gameplay.....cheers!
Not to mention the skill based nerfing amd buffing by activision when you're doing well or badly.... Which theyve admitted to (like aggreessive aim lock on vs active aim pushing)
I play 9 9 linear with 1x on high and low zoom and I'm super snappy with my aim. Haven't changed since I got these settings. Console btw.

Yeah, biggest new thing I was completely unaware of was that raising your FOV results in higher sensitivity! Never considered that 🤦♂️. I’m always tweaking my FOV but never lowering my sensitivity at the same time.
Game changing. Now I know that if I go up to 120 (currently on 103) then I can use this sheet to work out what I need to lower my sensitivity to 👍
103/105 is optimal fov. 120 fov is just for style tbh. Personally I feel like I play worst on 120 but it’s a trade off am willing to make as a casual 2.7kd player

enable scale fov is way more snappier, makes it easier to snap on to targets and hit headshots, both on and off are good, off is slightly better for close range combat, hip fire gameplay and rotational aim assist, but enable gives all those pretty well also, barely any different, biggest difference I've learn is enable makes it easier to snap on targets, in genera; easier to hit your shots especially at medium to long range.

Weird! Me too! Switched from dz 0.06, x and y 6 sens, dynamic and standard aim assist, .087 low zoom, 97 high and now I'm doing .01 dz, 8,8 with 1.0 low ads, 1.10 high and linear w/standard.
What kind of a change did you notice? Last night I felt my aim is a little bit off.
You shouldn't be able to scale aim assist to FOV. PC controller players should have to chose, do I want crazy high FOV with only a tiny amount of assistance. Or console FOV with full aim assist.
This as a console player has always sounded like eating and keeping said cake. Plus double frames, far less input lag, better audio, options to adjust gfx, and many more benefits pc players receive.
Then get a PC or turn off cross play. Most PC players are using outdated hardware like a 1060 and they can't even run higher fov without getting massive frame drops. Everyone looks at a PC player like theyre all rich kids who have a 3090 that can max all settings with 160fps
@@Deathl2ow you know you'll have more frames at higher FOV? Seems impossible but seen it first hand on mates very average PC, with low gfx setting you'll get a boost to frames the higher you go.
Also if your frames are ~50 plus, you'll be way higher than console players.
And in regards to your get a pc comment. So you release a game on multiple platforms, yet one platform provides inherent benefits. Your answer to balance these inadequacies is advise everyone purchase the same platform? I don't think that's good business, nor conducive to a happy player base.

@@felixklimm7225 I really don't know man, all I know is that these kinds of "trolls" just seriously need to get out of people's heads. You may be smart and realize that all his videos are pointless but when you force so many lies into people again and again they'll start believing them and thinking that linear gives them god mode.
He says that because linear is a 1:1 if you want to be most consistent with your aim that is the one to use.. because the inputs you make with your thumb 10/10 will always be the movement you get on screen.. if I see a enemy in a certain part of my screen I know I need to move my thumb exactly this much to get my cross hair to that location so I just flick and shoot and let aim assist take the wheel (centering/strafing) however if I want to track an enemy I know how much to move the stick to pan a certain speed..
Personally I think dynamic is more a reactive curve (watching your cross hairs move to a location)
Where linear is a instinctive curve (think mouse and keyboard vibes instantly snapping to point)
@@Error_4o4_Found The mouse and keyboard "vibes" you talk about, outside of being an outrageously dumb statement, requires thought process and you don't clarify the differences between "reactive" and "distinctive" curve, as in any case you need to react to your enemy and use your instincts to act accordingly (sometimes it's better to get under cover or even run away).
JGOD much better describes the differences between linear and dynamic, linear being the one that reflects your inputs in a stable, consistant matter and dynamic being the one that gradually reaches your target sensitivity according to the speed and magnitude of your inputs. If only, dynamic is the most similar to mouse inputs and linear is an alienating, very robotic response type.
And before you go ham about my comment on your last sentence, target snapping is incredibly inconsistent, requires months of daily practice and dedication and most of the time results in inconsistent, sloppy aiming, bad recoil control and atrocious tracking. Do *not* give clips of high skilled KBM players as an example, 99% of KBM user gameplay does *not* look like that.
I love JGOD but this is by far his most confusing video. I still don’t understand the results of his testing based on his explanation.

Not too hard to understand, standard aim assist is the best for a seasoned cod player, while the other 2 are for newer players that don't fully understand all things about cod aim assist and don't strafe

Aim assist is so broken it hurts! For bad to avg players its a decent balance but in the hands of good players, its broken beyond belief.
The entire game is broken..... what hurts more is sad people doing everything they can to get in bot lobbies because they can't compete with they're own skillset and completely ruin the game for people like myself
@@sammywhitaker4644 game is not broken but yes some huge problems. Cheating the biggest. But atleast aim assist is a"easy" fix..
@@sammywhitaker4644 stop believing everything you hear… there isn’t anything anyone can do to get into easier lobbies . If that was the case do it and show me how you drop 20 kills on these easier lobbies…. Get a grip… compare your gameplay and decision making to someone like joewo or swagg or huskers. You can tell that they are playing warzone extremely
Calculated and everything they do is done as well as you can think. You need to look it from a different perspective, and try to understand and how to handle situations better. They aren’t getting into easier lobbies by doing anything special they are making the lobbies look easy on that 1 out of 40 games they play in one day and post it on UA-cam.
i actually tried changing the ADS sensitivity on MNK to try and counter the slowdown you get for ADS. you can't go above 2 and as the video states you need a 3 about to completely cancel the change in sensitivity. Another thing I noticed is I still got "sticking" or resisting even on MNK. on MNK you don't get an assisting "pull" when you rotate but sometimes you can still witness what feels like a rotational push especially once you start firing the gun just before fulling being on target where the gun recoil plus this slight aim tampering bubble around players will sometimes lock you off the target or on a hand. I had to many times almost go into arm aiming when encountering these locks because the mouse will just stop responding while you are trying to track especially towards the head. I play on a 12 sense also, so most of my aiming is wrist aiming. Some people experience this and call it aim resist which is speculated to be linked to SBMM especially when you are a higher account level firing on a lower account level. But upping your ADS Sensitivity will not remove this if you have encountered this. This is something to do with garbage SBMM in this game.
i use 12, 12 with ads multipliers or 0.50, 0.50 and that allows me to look around fast and snap to an extent but i still have good controle when ads
In my 20 plus years of playing shooters, I have never, ever seen aim assist as strong as this game
helping bot players to become like a pro players by do nothing just aim and pray
Can we agree we're all just bots? and whether we're on KB&M or Controller, Console or PC...we use the one thing we don't have as an excuse why we're not the Champion of Warzone?

Its weird cuz i play on my account and it seems like im playing without aim assist but when i play on my brothers account it feels like i have aimbot

Multiplayer aim assist is different then warzone check out you will see you get less at warzone tho not cap

imagine how good this game would be if pc players could filter controller users like consoles do for pc's. and if controller/console players didnt have aim assist like in great console FPS's like RSV2. Aim assist is a terrible mechanic. Id rather see player miss half their mag then have the game play it for them.
As a PS user, i can tell you that when I disable crossplay I never find a game. I've let it search for 10-20mins or more and nothing. Didnt use to be that way but thats how it is now. So we're stuck playing against high FOV hackers who also have controllers. Woe is me!? Woe is you?!
