Ace, what about when you use the daul sense edge controller for ps5. You can create custom settings on the controller itself. Do these cancel out or should you be setting the controller to compliment the settings in game??
Just learned about the response curve adjustments today. My problem was windshield wiping. I'd aim, land on target, but if they moved an inch, I'd over adjust and lose my shot. Spent hours playing with deadzones and custom sensitivities until I dropped the response curve slope down to .30 on dynamic and my aim has improved 1000%. Why? Still not sure. But it's the first setting I've messed with that doesn't feel like a placebo. Thank you
I mean i think it would be that you guys perfect something close to Linear but with the slowdown dynamic has at the mid to long range for more accuracy
Opposite for me. In MW2 Linear perfect, in MW19 Linea perfect. In MW3, it feels off, can't figure it out but I THINK it's the curve, it's more flatter.@@Real_Beaky
What I want to see next is the auto fire setting. How it works exactly. Know it doesn't take semi weapons to their max rpm but still want to see what goes on.
While I appreciate what they're trying to do, I feel they've made it too confusing for us to dial in our settings. It's made worse with the fact that they give us a very vague description of what a setting is actually changing
I played 66 1ads mw 3 im 55 .55 and dynamic jumps to head more than linear i think if i went faster ads sens i would switch to linear because dynamic rmaps up fast and makes me overaim
Even though I'm a mouse and keyboard warrior, I still like these videos. It gives me a sense of what sensitivity really does. It's not going to be 1:1 to my experience and what options I have on a PC, but it gives me an idea of the trend. Mouse and keyboard players, always watch these. You might pick up a thing or two. I've tweaked my settings based on info in these videos. Really helps sometimes.
How to improve your aim Using the motion sensor aim options. It’s mouse aim for controller and you don’t get aim assist The fact that this isn’t covered in this video is absurd and a massive oversight
In sensitivity multiplier there’s an option for ADS sens only and I like to stop that to 0.85, let’s me use a higher sens to run and snap on people and also a slower ads sens for long range
What ever happened to just getting good at the game lol. Back in the older cods we literally just had 1 setting for sensitivity. The rest of the work was up to the player.
I wish they had something in the firing range where you shoot targets and it tracks your movement, ads, etc... and essentially recommends the best settings for your personal performance. When I use the different settings I do pretty decent with all of them so it makes it even harder to figure out what to use to be optimal. I just want to bring my best performance each game and they make it so difficult to understand what is best. Its like the Aim Assist settings... I can tell no difference between Modern Warfare and Black Ops Aim Assist and the description is so vague it doesnt exactly detail what it does. People moan and groan about Aim Assist because they finally see that Console is just as competitive if not more competitive than PC after they have talked trash about Console for years. It’s like a mild crutch, it slows down as you barely push and barely release the stick, it delays ur turns etc. BUT it maximizes aim assist. What about Black Ops vs Default aim assist type? People are saying it feels different this year compared to last year, would love to hear your thoughts on this great video as always!
In my opinion, it seems like the default aim assist type generally guides your crosshairs towards the head first…so prob better for low recoil/single fire weapons. Black Ops seems to focus more on center mass/chest initially, allowing you to hit more shots and you can end up with head shots after controlling recoil. So if you have more recoil on Default, you may get a headshot nearly right away but then you are at risk of missing high if you don’t control recoil perfectly (slightly more wiggle room/room for error on Black Ops, and prob better suited for WZ generally speaking given the ground loot). Idk if that makes sense, but that’s what I’ve found testing in the firing range (for whatever that’s worth)
I have to completely with some of these findings on aim type being the same as before. There's a noticeable difference in MW2 vs MW3 aiming sensitivity. I think it may be the response curve difference (in MW2 you cannot adjust this). But MW3 definitely feels like there's LESS of a curve and more of a straight line because it LACKS the tiny movements when aiming, in MW2 you can be exceptionally accurate when you move the Right Stick ever so slighty. Adjusting the DEADZONE will ofcourse give more precision, but once you've done this, it's NO LONGER the same as MW2 at all. So something is different for sure.
I’m a sensitive 5 on H&V and I play with dynamic. Problem I have is when I snap on ads I’m not quite on target so when I try to adjust it’s like pulling an elephant with a piece of thread to pull on to the target. Any answers for this problem?

I'd really like to be able to use differnt cod game sensitivity and feel. It's frustrating playing a cod game for hours and hours honing in on your perfect sense/settings to jump into another cod created by another team and having to sit there like this feels like crap spend countless more hours perfecting the settings for your personal use and having it comfortable to then have to yet again switch because another cod is out and it feels like garbage the settings have more things or less and you have to yet again adapt and try finding what feels right. Have a base for them all a feel for them all that's the same sense 1 to 20 field of view from 60 to 120 dynamic true linear true standard and custom sense for differnt scope sizes with all of these settings being exactly the same across all cod that never change so when we get the new cod we can comfortably change to our settings it feels right and we can jump in. I also think this will at least take away some of the pain that cod is gone down hill so damn far the games are incomplete half a**ed developed these days with garbage maps repeat maps copy and past with a difernt skin and the devs care more about dropping ridiculous camps skins and half wannabe rappers as skins then the community that buys there game and the cheaters who ruin it for the while community. Cod has very seriously become the laughing stock of the gaming world and for a person who hates battle royal and the idea of a game like fortnite I'm seriously debating if I should swap to it yes they have camps dances ect but that was always there it is the childish game it is cod use to be memories and great fun now it's a laugh, the most racist community of all piss poor insults and just trying to copy danc scrap characters and camos like other games to make more revenue and that toxic garbage fan base is now playing cod and ruining it. Make it a separate game again cod is no more cod. Least have the decency to change the name and not disrespect the drvs way bavk when who made the amazing game that has fallen. If the servers where populated I'd jump back to any older cod before the black ops Era in a heart beat. Love your content but we are all struggling to pick up a Controller any more for this garbage hell I find my self more on my pc playing games or mindlessly playing the roblox games because I'm so discusted woth what cod has become and every time it's just a disappointment when I log on. Can still smoke people easily gather have a matches kills in any game mode stats are still high as always. But it's just jumping on in hopes it will be good again at this point and has been for years. .... sadly I don't think I'll be buying another cod game! I know there is so many others so many others so if your seeing this like the comment and maybe the rng gods will some how make someone who cares and can do something about it see it and maybe just maybe before we get any older and gray we can have a real damn cod game again!!!!

Have you ever asked your contacts at Activision to explain these setting so you don’t have to do this detective work. Someone there has to know what they do since they created them. So weird that they would create settings but then not explain them.
How do I improve my aim with 20 sensitivity and precision aim assist? That is what I use since I have been using max sensitivity since Black Ops 1. You forgot to talk about the dead zones they affect sensitivity and aim too.
Id be curious to find out how snapping works. Feel like when youre on 8/8 if u flick your stick the right speed it stops on an opponent. My centering was bad with 8/8 so i changed it back to 5/5 and the flick of the stick isnt enough to snap onto a target so havent played with it much since. Does anyone here know if thats a thing or was i just fluking each snap
Anyone else run aim assist off on controller? I turned it off to see what it was like back in early MWII when everyone was saying aim assist is op and just never felt a difference so i kept it off since
my aim is still accerating , i wish there was an option to turn off normal aim accerlator , literally as i aim trying to flick to an enemy , it increases and makes me over shoot my flick and i cant do anything about it
It exists for when mnk players has a aching wrist and want to play on controller temporary for mwz. I main mnk and when I use controller I run 0.8hor/0.55ver sens. Anything above this is too fast that I'll just over turn my camera. For most mnk players we are VERY not used to "move a little bit of the stick", when we move it, we move a whole lot of it. Bcuz in mnk's world, the lower the sens, the higher the precision, we will lower our sens so much so we can accurately control every pixel we're aiming at.
Thank you for taking the time to explain it all. Everyone has a "you need this" video, and I have found most of those are just copycat vids. This laid out what things did, and how they really work. Thank you again.
Hey ace, I'm on a 5, 6 sensitivity, I use linear with the slop curve set to 0. Also on my elite series 2 controller I have it set to true diagonals. It's a straight line meaning it's as quick as possible and I aim directly to the aim rate. TRY IT and tell me what you think. Awesome vid bud, keep it up
On Xbox elite you can adjust for “true diagonals and radial on joy sticks what’s that mean ? Also I sped up my my response by a tenth of a point thanks Ace by far the clearest and informative content out there
I've been wanting to play around with those custom sensitivity settings but I didn't feel like trying to figure out the conversation rate, so thanks for figuring that out, Ace! Also, I know this is a general aim setting, but I do really prefer Dynamic over Standard. Standard (at certain sensitivities) makes my aim feel like it's rolling off a hilltop, if that makes any sense. I've always been a high sensitivity player in CoD because I like being able to make those really fast aim adjustments while still in ADS, but it always made the acceleration feel too fast. Once I switched to Dynamic (during Cold War) I was able to lower my overall sensitivity while maintaining the ability to make those same quick twitch aim adjustments between targets while ADS and eliminating the rolling-down-hill feeling. Personally, I don't really need the added acceleration because if I'm making a bigger aim adjustment I'm dropping in and out of ADS anyway. So all of that is to say I do really like that they added the curve slider to allow even more aim tuning and I hope they add even more customization options in future games.
Been a linear player for years on every other game, always knew cods linear was weird. Used dynamic bc it felt more “linear” than the actual linear setting.
@TheXclusiveAce off topic, but wondering if you could do a video on the STATS tracker - it seems to be counting stats from matches I left early, or got into the match halfway when it should be counting those. I noticed it on the Recent Matches and it's counting the last game I left early. It even shows the score the team ended with, and I wasn't even there to see the end of the match 😅 kinda weird
I have a question. I do use the dynamic but why does does it stop just before on target then I got to fight it to get on target. Then I'm dead before I can't fight it on. That's my only problem
I gotta try controller again on pc. When I was playing on xbox it always felt like aim assist sometime was on and sometimes it felt like it wasnt on at all. Also I tried to "trick" where you set the mouse sensativity to relative then set the ads monitor coeffeciant to 1.78. and i cant play with relative mouse setting i always miss shots like i wil go and aim and i will be on the person then it will at the last second move to the side so i only play with legacy mouse settings aiming is so much better. For me at least.
I like the gyroscope setting they really make the game way more fun but with all these settings, (which most started from titanfall 2, the best shooter ever made) it really levels the playing field for mouse and Key but also seperates the truely skilled and the normal players, I feel like
Why would you want less customization to how you play the game? If you want just 1 sensitivity type then keep everything default and change just vertical and horizontal sensitivity
@@kylesalmon31you can still keep it simple And why do you care about other people's sensitivity? I promise you them having their sensitivity tuned in better is a very small reason for why they are better Sensitivity is more of a comfort, it's not until you reach litterally pro levels or play where you need to customize it, but if you want to in order to make the game feel better than you can
What a help to the community.. you are the best .. thank you for all you do ..
Whys there so much complications when it comes to CoD.. what happened to the simple days? 5000 settings, 3000 devs,
Me: so this is why im slow and/or cant turn quick in a on the fly fire fight sweatin for my life with a trash k/d, oh well sucks to be me. *proceeds to not care and play like ive always played*
"advanced sensitivity"
Lol idk why they couldn't just incrementalize our normal sensitivity...
Useful guide, however i thought this video was a 'how to find your aim sensitivity multiplier' guide. 👍
Funny how to improve your aim on controller you always go for setting while on MnK you always need practice.
The game has way too many issues for this to be effective notably the footstep audio & sweats camping buy stations & load outs
Roller players fine tuning their aimbot lol
That didn't work for shit
deadzones to 0 and if controller starts to drift above 5 its time for a new one.
but now i got hall effect, these seem to last longer.
not work for me, I'm using 20-20 sensitive and I would like to improve the vertical sensitive but when the setting is 4.0, it's the same as before
Unrelated but has anyone else recently been using the ray gun and still take splash damage while having phd?
what was the video you referenced that plotted the slope scale differences @5:45
Thank you for taking the time to explain it all.
Everyone has a "you need this" video, and I have found most of those are just copycat vids.
This laid out what things did, and how they really work.
Thank you again.
I'm shitty in any setting, so it makes no difference to me. I play because I like the game
Just use control freaks and the rings. Seriously I feel like I'm cheating.
Awesome vid bud, keep it up
On a side note imagine tgd and you shiiiii you got MP on lock he war zone we need a weekly with you tgd and jgod
ace out here doing the lords work. Thank you sir!!
On Xbox elite you can adjust for “true diagonals and radial on joy sticks what’s that mean ? Also I sped up my my response by a tenth of a point thanks Ace by far the clearest and informative content out there
It’s crazy how much of a difference it is when you go from standard to Dynamic. Without Dynamic the game feels so unresponsive.
I know how to improve my aim...stand closer to the urinal.
I like the gyroscope setting they really make the game way more fun but with all these settings, (which most started from titanfall 2, the best shooter ever made) it really levels the playing field for mouse and Key but also seperates the truely skilled and the normal players, I feel like
How about they do it like the old one and just have one sensitivity type lol. I wish it was one aim response too.
Why would you want less customization to how you play the game?
If you want just 1 sensitivity type then keep everything default and change just vertical and horizontal sensitivity
@@flamingscar5263 because the appeal to cod (for me anyways) was the simplicity vs say battlefield. Also it keep everyone using the same settings.
@@kylesalmon31you can still keep it simple
And why do you care about other people's sensitivity? I promise you them having their sensitivity tuned in better is a very small reason for why they are better
Sensitivity is more of a comfort, it's not until you reach litterally pro levels or play where you need to customize it, but if you want to in order to make the game feel better than you can
Agree! @kylesalmon31
Nah. Get out of here with that. I'm glad they are adding more options to sensitivity.
What a help to the community.. you are the best .. thank you for all you do .. I had the problem of not finding my preferred sensitivity since switching from dualsense to edge (this topic can be a whole series lol) and I feel adjusting the curve will help a lot..
I find dead zone (max and min) changes help with fine tuning aim with high zoom optics and long ranges .
Us mouse and keyboard players can go fu** ourselves I guess
Could you add a conversion for custom ads sense per zoom? Ik you did a few years ago but I wouldn’t mind a refresher 😅
For the real linear like apex its standard curve and droppind the slope scale to 0 ?
Everyone should adjust their ADS sensitivity setting on the vertical plane to help them control recoil
What is a 1.10 custom sensitivity equal to?
As always, good stuff. Tnx😀
I play 16 horizontal, 13 vertical.
I feel like a lot of dynamic users use it because we played Halo?
Unless im tweaking.
Great, more ways to make controller better than mnk. Thanks Ace!
Does anyone Xbox elite controller have Y button weapon swap issues sometimes I click it and nothing happens if I hit it 3-4 times ?. Controller is brand new too
Yes, I have encountered this and had teammates encounter it as well. No idea what causes it tho.
Linear + slope scale 0.0 is perfect linear like apex?
