- I visited Black Rose of Hanover to see what I could find to flip for a profit. I didn’t have much time, but I spotted a few goodies.

"Last time I bought something with power in it, it was George......, and he use to be a person".
Oh my word, I laughed so hard at that. :)
I did too! 😂
I thought I was the weird one. I can’t stop laughing, she said it so calm. 😂😂
OMG..THAT WAS HILARIOUS. I HAD A REAL BELLY LAUGH.
Oh my gosh! Tore me up!! Just the nonchalant way she said it!!
Priceless!!!!
LOL..."...last time I bought something with powder in it, it turned out to be George. He used to be a person." I'm HOWLING with laughter!! What a deadpan delivery! Jocelyn, you are a delight. 😂😂😂
The print on the box is based on a famous french painting called Two Sisters by Pierre Auguste Renoir..
Not old. Sold at Ross
I knew it wasn't old but didn't think it was that new and from Ross lol.
Your comedic timing regarding the late George was perfection!
*chef's kiss*
🤌🏽🤌🏽
Wow...I have the brown, furry, squirrel figurines. Got them in Japan over 60 years ago. As usual, your videos are such a joy to view.
The box is an attempt to mimic “Two sisters on the terrace” by Renoir.
I was so excited to see the Restoration Hardware polar bear cocktail shaker in the video when you found it during a previous video. Last year I found one at our local Goodwill for $5(cnd). It didn't have the picks, just the actual shaker pieces. I sold it on Kijiji for $120. The woman that bought it collects all things polar bear and was really excited to buy it, no haggling. She squealed when we exchanged her money for my shaker and she asked me what his name was. Beg your pardon... what? She assumed he was so important to me that I would have given him a name! Ummm, no but that means you can name him whatever you want and be assured he will not be confused about his identity 🤣
Just found 2 Annalees bunnies him and her at the bins yesterday from 1965.
The last powder I bought was named George!!! Bahahaha
LMAO!!! 😂😂😂😂
I love when you show limoges pieces. I visited France when I was in high-school. Our group visited a factory with all kinds of limoges pieces and I brought home a trinket box, a trinket plate and a butter dish with spoon.
Omg! I was taking a drink on your opening coming and I’m walking on the treadmill. I ALMOST spit my water out all over my iPad and the treadmill! You are so funny!
Thought I should mention I was drinking water. Lol
I found a Urn at Goodwin bins abt 3 months ago .So sad. They didnt know what it was, but I did :(. I took it up to counter they were shocked.
Maybe it was George's brother..omg
It's a possibility that the Janis Joplin pencil/pastel drawing was an original. Artists sometimes put low adhesive tape around the border and, when they've finished, the tape is removed leaving a clean, crisp border.
I agree. As a young gal, we had a large, original of Big Brother and the Holding Company, posted on the wall of our party house. It was given to my ex-husband by Janis herself. Some Wild Times, to be sure. ( :
That "single shaker" by your hand at 18:32 is a Victorian hat pin holder. If it were a shaker, with that many holes, it would over-season a dish!!!
Unless it were a sugar shaker.
I LOVED your comment that Jesse wrapped things like a Subway sandwich. GREAT job
on wrapping Jesse!
Just saying my Goodwill in Indiana stopped giving any discounts at all. No senior or color of the day discounts. I guess I won’t be shopping there anymore.
Sometimes I just have to laugh out loud. It was “George”
The mushroom 🍄 and flower plaque which you thought was a leaf.(which I thought also)is old home interior. I believe they came in a set of 2 or 3 from the 80s.Great finds you found today😊
I guessed it right! You bought the auction haul for the little blue weird eyed cat 😸 I love it, too!
I can’t wait to see those paintings displayed in your home. ❤️
Your a joy to watch and listen to. Your very Smooth voice, made us think of George thoughtfully. You've got class girl.💚
I was laughing so hard over George!!! Once I figured out you were not speaking about George The Antique Nomad- 😝 I was cracking up!
I did too
The painting is cool! The boy and girl - and now you can have a Laurel!
You should test the water yellow glass dispenser to see if it glows if it does double what you thought to list. I have seen similar ones glow.
You crack me up. So nonchalant…”last time I bought something with a powder in it, it was George…”
I think that yellow piece may be a samovar, or a version of one. Theyre usually metal and are most often attributed to Russia but they're found everywhere. This looks to be Cambridge Glass from the late 20s, as best I can see. Someone who knows what they're doing could pull the little faucet out, clean it up and put a silicone gasket in place. I have a similar blue one. They're just lovely.
Waiting all day for this ... 🥵 so hot and being an apartment dweller, the window air conditioning goes only so far in such heat and humidity... you are my fresh air of the day ☮️🌈💚🇨🇦
I feel ya! Too hot!
@@deborahmannino3775 so grateful to work from home
The karg bowl is amazing. I sometimes ship large fragile peices...I always double box with success.
That's the est way to go. I've never had anything broken when I've shipped that way.
Wow Karg Art Glass is located in Kechi KS. You should check out the website in your “spare” time, LOL! So very glad you got a beautiful piece from them and from my home state! Love your channel! Thanks for all the wonderful videos, treasures and family adventures.
I live in Wichita an i love Karg glass. I have always wondered if Jocelyn would come across a piece. So cool that she did.
I loved the Native American sculpture, and the 16 pound glass bowl. You have such a good eye and good instincts. Thank you for sharing another great video. Enjoy dinner with the family
Intro was hilarious. Needs to be a tik toc.
Agreed. Too hilarious!!
🤣❤️George
His name was on my mind as soon as you said powder! At least you freed him!! Will you tell the new residents where he resides? 😁
Wow on that statue and the cat that "probably isn't very valuable" is adorable.
Great video.
Last time I bought something that had something extra, it was an ammo box with someone's leftover old marijuana stash. I couldn't open the box, it was for my husband, and he had never let me live it down. 🤣🤪
All I could think of was George the antique nomad!
I thought that was what she meant in the opening clip. Like I was with George the nomad! Then I remembered poor George and the ceremony in the backyard.
Poor George. I did not think of the Antique Nomad and cringed when you said it.
The Items you bought at the Black Rose were well chosen. Loved everything at your shop especially the Karga dish.
And my day just got better!!!
Loved this video. I learn so much from you. Also, you have beautiful hands and fingernails, so pretty when you are picking
and showing items. Thank you
at 23:31, the drink dispenser, I have 2, one in a vibrant 1920s blue and one in satin vaseline glass. They are unique and beautiful.
The wooden box for $9 is a painting of the artist Renoir, it’s called Two sisters on (The terrace) from 1881 I painted one in art class 😁
What great finds at the antique store. Always enjoy when you go through the boxes at the store. I love that figurine absolutely Beautiful. And the swan is amazing. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Another Great Video Perfect Beginning, Great Shopping Trip and We at the shop! Love it!!!
Fantastic items, esp the Limoges trinket boxes. You have such a good eye and always have the optimism to see the potential in what you buy. Hugs always.
Hi CLL!!!! I appreciate all you and Andrew DO Thanks So Much😊
Wow very cool finds today that black sculpture is amazing!!!!
No way I can ever be tired of owls !! I collect them as well so love when you find anything owls
I want the horse picture! Just lovely.
I adore Owls, never tiresome
Hi jocelyn , TFS l really love those paintings they will look great in your sunroom . That ghost of Christmas is really ominous that can also be for Halloween .
Have never seen a beverage dispenser like that before... it's stunning!!
18:38 The clay figurine on your cart might be a Terracotta Warrior. I have a similar one but I haven't figured out who made it.
Why not use Instapack for the art glass bowl?? Kat the Nurse Flipper uses it for odd shaped, valuable items with great success!
Those squirrels are so cute!! Cool purse. Loved the Bristol vase. That box is nice. I'm totally a box collector!
the vendor beating up the booth shelves is hysterical..
I watch all your videos frequently. I love the bowl. I wish I had the rainbow bowl. But perhaps I will come across one one day. Or head down to PA
Always good to follow you around!
Hey dear lady!, GRAMMA KATHY here. im so happy to see a video. your my fav and just love your recious family. i pray all is well. 🤗🤗😺😁❤️
Hey Jocelyn that was a really nice video I enjoyed it I love all those stuff you showed well enjoy your dinner with your parents and you have a wonderful evening
Both Olle Alberius and Göran Wärff are great glass designers. Great finds!
Karg is a local glass maker just north of Wichita. I have sold it. I was always wondering if you would ever come across a piece. The Karg glass in made in a small building in a small town. You can go watch them make the art glass. Karg glass is gorgeous.
JANIS!!! I desperately need that picture. LOL She was incredible! She went where no woman in music had ever gone. I cannot imagine what she would have accomplished had she not died so young. Drugs suck!
Whenever I have something like that water dispenser, I would list it as is. If it needs testing or cleaning, I leave it up to the buyer.
That is literally a flower frog. Lol
The Janis Joplin was probably a print, but I use masking tape to keep clean lines and it works like a charm.😉
Yes. Many artists tape a border for a sharp line
I collect the Limoge miniatures courting scenes and I loved that small red trinket box. I have 7 or 8 mini plates and a different trinket box. Great video.
Oh Jocelyn I was bidding on that ghost of Christmas past too but got so busy the final morning of the sale, I forgot to check the listing. Yeah for you! I love we bid on so many of the same items!
One day it would be amazing if I ran into you or Drew at pick up! Or shopping!
You are simply the BEST! 🌻
May I ask which auction company this is? I'm in Oregon, so there won't be any competition; I'm just curious about what to look for in my own area. Thanks!
That lamp you left was really cute.
I loved the pig, and I was born in 1965.🐷
Reminds me of Xmas ornaments . It may be one !. Those old ones had mice too and elves!
I Love all the all the glass creatures and you said “Matchey, Matchey” again! We need to hear a more snobby kind of tone to that it would be hilarious! Lol. Liked the vintage glass dish, the little flower plate. The pig is so cute!OMG! That giant swirly bowl😍😍😍Oh my! Too many goodies today.😮Love the glass cat
Olle Alberius is a Swedish designer of glass. He made pieces for Orreffors(spelling), in the '60 and '70's. Please don't sell him cheaply because I have a feeling he will be refound once again and be worth a ton. No, I am not always right, but when I am...you know I know, sometimes.
I love that island too...always love looking at the blown glass. I have found a few pieces there!❤
I had to back up n hear what you sad about the powder and George who used to be a person! 😂 I shouldn’t laugh but that was funny! Oh girl you crack me up!
Made me laugh again. Thanks for the reminder Vivian 🤣
I will buy the Annelise pig if you go back! I love them, too, particularly the Christmas editions. Grab that wedding box - original paint! Just tell me what you want for the pig if you go back - too cute!
Love love that centerpiece bowl
This was a really awesome video. So many cool pieces!
I love this unboxing! The little kitty is adorable and the Native American statue is phenomenal. Great scores on all of these.
Having been a dealer for many years I am wondering if you are selling less of these type items with prices for food, gas and absolute necessities being extremely high now and people are struggling. Most people around here aren't buying luxuries but only necessities.
The glass pumpkin (s) with signatures like that could have been made at the Goggleworks in Reading. Their glass artists sign the bottom of the pumpkins. Are you going to list the pumpkin from the auction?
But i love the sound of the papers 🥺
Just membered where I saw the KPM The initials “KPM” were used by several German porcelain makers. This mark with a vertical bar above the initials was used by the Krister Porzellan-Manufaktur (Krister Porcelain Manufactury) in Waldenburg, Germany. The company was in business under various owners and names from 1831 to 2016. Carl Franz Krister bought an existing porcelain factory in 1831 and a second factory in 1833. He made porcelain in the style of the Konigliche Porzellan Manufaktur (Royal Porcelain Manufactory) of Berlin and even copied the mark, replacing the scepter in the Konigliche mark with a bar. Krister Porcelain Manufactory used this mark from 1840 to 1895
Love the picture of the little girl in the red dress.
When I saw the painting of the little girl in the red dress playing in the daisy flower garden I thought that’s the color green in Laurel’s room and it would look adorable in there. 💚💛♥️
You know watching you shop is a sport for us right?
Amen my sister!
Need to see a video of your booth. It's been a while.
I’d keep both pumpkins!😍
I really don't know what it is , but I love going to the shop with you and you telling us about the things you bought at auction. Organized chaos, lol
I'm very sure I'm not the only one, but I'm glued to your vids and I find myself pausing and (rewinding Lol) and replaying a lot, even if I am distracted momentarily, so I don't miss a thing. Another good lot with some great pieces. I Loved the big fun bowl and think it will look Cool in your new booth, posed near all of those trillion-dollar vases Lol, complimenting them both.
Dude that was hilarious! His name was George!
My niece went to a glass factory and made a pumpkin, apparently it was part of the paid visit
Karg art glass!!! Oh my goodness that's near my hometown in Kansas. The glass shop is in this TINY little town called Kechi that's just North of Wichita near Wichita State University. My friends and I would occasionally drive up there and watch the artisans demonstrate hand-blowing. I believe they may do lessons there possibly? Anyway...what a trip to see their piece come up in your video!
Loved your haul. Hope you enjoyed you dinner with the family. Hi from Oz.
First I thought you were speaking of George the Antique Nomad...say what?!? Listened again and them remembered the urn...
I love watching your videos and yet disappointed to not see many newly listed items. I know it’s just you and Andrew right now in the shop, but maybe film more in the shop with you listing your items?
Ooh,ooh, ooh, that feeling you get when I see something in your video that I collect. Your in PA and I'm in FL. I'm 😢 sad.
I can’t imagine how busy you are with all the Auction Halls.
Thank you! I love polar bears! I l looked him up and found out that Restoration Hardware makes different animal cocktail shakers! I have a college roommate who loves penguins, and I would love to flip one of the roosters! They are so much fun! I have a new bolo now! I want to find all of them!
Can we have another video of your personal collection!! 💞
I love your unboxing of auction hauls. Love the painting of the horse. I'm sure you already know this but never hang paintings on an outside wall. The walls change according to temperature and moisture.
I absolutely love your shop and unpacking videos so exciting. Thankyou 🤩
Took me a minute to figure out what you were taking about..last time you bought something with powder in it....George was a person. LMAO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
