When you go to the Antique Marketplace, you're just across the street from my house. I'd love to give you a tour of my garden! You can see my house at 5:25 on the left when you're looking at the stained glass panels. It's the white one.
We accidently grew a sunflower last year. We had given our chickens some organic sunflower seeds as a treat and some must have fell outside the coop because by midsummer, we had a huge, beautiful sunflower growing right beside it. It's probably too late this summer to see if that would happen again but next year, I'm planting some seeds... on purpose this time! 😊
Jocelyn that weird bone thing in the case with the Dala horses is a shark jaw. Ordem e Progresso is the Brazilian flag motto. It means Order and Progress. The yellow and blue design is a stylized version of the design on the flag. (I didn't know that! I looked it up because I'm a retired librarian and I can't help looking stuff up. All the time!)
I had Sunflowers last year, and the finches loved them. I’ll plant them again next year. Those Lladro figurines were probably in a jewelry store. Wow! The stained glass windows for only $25.
Hi Jocelyn, I thought that owl was nice the first time around. Years ago my Mom fed the birds from a feeder by our back porch and one year a sunflower grew from where the bird food had fell on the ground. We just thought the birds were thanking my Mom for feeding them. LOL! The next year there were more sunflowers that grew. It was so neat to watch all the different birds eat them Sending HUGS!! I am almost sure that my Mom also had that hanging pumpkin decoration or I did. My goodness. No wonder my Mom always said never throw anything away because you just never know when you might need it or what things will be worth someday. I really should have listened.
I can't believe those blow molds are so expensive!!!! We put those up in the 70's at our house and I feel like they look so cheap!!! Everything comes back around again!
I really like that tin cookie basket. Even with the front hasp broken off it’s very cool. Yes, in its day, it would have been neat to receive a cookies gift in it.
Gold finches love coneflower/ echinacea flowers it is the same flower common name coneflower it is from the daisy family. I have hundreds of them they fill a space quickly and come back every year. The gold finch lands on the top of the flower head and he can sit on that flower while he plucks the seeds out.
Yup, in my backyard, had my mouth open and you guessed it, a darn bug flew in. I was hacking and coughing! I'm ready for Fall myself and actually have my Halloween stuff out all year round. Just love Halloween, Fall and that first frosty breeze blowing through my hair. No bugs flying around! Glad you did get the beetle though, he was awfully cute!
You should tuck a small-sized tape measure or a sewing measurement tape into your purse for times when you're browsing and want to know if something will fit in your transom windows or into the back of your Subaru. There are ruler apps for your phone, too.
Goldfinches LOVE thistle seed! You can attract them to your feeder with ‘Nyger Seed’ that you can get anywhere you buy birdseed. 😊 Your new place seems like you could easily attract a variety of birds. So exciting!
That is a marble! There is a marble museum near me (House of Marbles, Devon, UK) and they have art marbles that size, displayed. They have some incredible examples. The one you picked up is probably worth £80-100 as it’s comparable to the more modern art marble examples for sale in their shop. But perhaps yours is vintage and worth more? Good find!
We feed birds and get lots of goldfinches, house finches, chickadees, woodpeckers, robins & of course sparrows. Blue Jays & cardinals once in a while too. So fun to watch them bathe in our many fountains.
It just amazes me that some artists don't sign their pieces. It will bring them more exposure. That stained glass is beautiful and would look beautiful in your entryway. I hope you go back and get them.
Order and Progress" in Portuguese. This slogan was adopted from French positivist Auguste Comte, whose beliefs were very popular among the people of the early Republic of Brazil. The phrase made its first appearance on the flag in 1889. I love looking up items while watching 🤑
Thanks for showing the birdies at the sunflower. I know you have birds. I have had Cockatiels & Parakeets/Budgies. I just love birds! Great buys there, good for you! I love it.
When you get short furniture like that in U.K. which is obviously old and primitive it can be that it existed in a farmhouse setting on a flagstone floor and the constant swilling and washing with water has rotted the feet / lower parts which then get cut off Sometimes they get replaced and you can see the newer additions other times they are left off which affects the height
How cute would that tiger rug be in the baby's room? A cute Annie Geddes style naked baby picture? That would be precious! Her room would be so cute as a little zoo.
I wish I lived closer to you because I’d love to volunteer to help you ship and process in exchange for letting me treasure hunt with you 😂 lol. I love going out and finding new treasures
While you were in an antique shop maybe not w baby you passed yellow green book ends probably fifties I have lamp look for pieced to go with I'll try to send picture of lamp if you see them again just moved and needy Enjoy your videos
Hi! This is glenna and I started watching your videos about 2 months ago. Now I'm addicted to them. Yesterday I was on the way to sell crystals at a fair and saw a sign for a huge yard sale. I went with only my change for the fair. Well since I didn't want to spend all my change I picked up one glass vase I thought for 2 bucks. Said Italy on the bottom. Turns out it's an empoli turquoise green bubble glass squat genie decanter. Mind u all I know from u about it is if it says Italy and is cheap buy it. Comps are from 50 to 100.. and didn't know how to even check if it weren't for your show. I am stuck on a Japanese teapot I have from good will. Only found 1 of them online. And it was all written in Japanese. Its got a bamboo handle has a denim blue streaked glaze with chrysanthemum pattern. It is marked with a Japanese mark. I don't have that pay app, cause why for 1 thing. But sure am curious. Want to say thank you! Love shopping with you. Hope u do well in the future!
Glenna you can get a free trial of worthpoint for 7 days I think it’s that long if not 3 days but just to look that teapot up would be worth it for free. Good luck 🍀💕
@@kelliwillis417 oh cool thanks a lot. I know if I look stuff up on Google sometimes it will come up with a worth point result but the price is blocked.
I found a hawthorn Italy Raymorashtray at a yard sale for 25 cents Saturday and a blenko double spout pitcher for 2.00 I was really excited when looking up the ashtray and it originally sold for 225.00 but on eBay it’s all over the place on prices
That definitely looked like a 2” marble shooter. That design is probably pricey. Can’t be sure because I wasn’t holding it but pretty confident that’s a shooter 😊
I collected jadeite years ago when it was 5 and 10 CENTS a piece!! I used it for my everyday dishes for a few years until Martha Stewart cane along! 😩 I still have it, but it’s packed safely away! Sad, but true!
Check your receipts when you go there. Great place. Great staff. Not best checkout system. I was over charged by 225$ during the meet n greet. One item was charged 200 instead of 20 by accident. And 2 items weren't mine. It was weeks before I realized because I purchased so much! Took a few months to get refund. Because I'm out of state and messages kept getting lost etc.
That cookie basket is a bon voyage tin circa 1911. It was made to give to travelers in upper class on ships traveling across the ocean
How interesting!

For the cat pee smell, soak it in water mixed with borax. It works great on Baby throwup and urine also to disinfect and get rid of smells.
Yes plant sunflower seeds in spring and you will get lots of gold finches on the flowers feeding on the seeds.
I would have bought that Chandelier in a heartbeat, it was stunning
Same here.
“Ordem e Progresso” is the phrase in the middle of the Brazilian flag. It means order and progress. 🇧🇷
Love your videos! 😀
The little beetle with the head both times reminded me of the movie "The Fly" old black and white one is great, new one ok.
Can’t wait to start shopping for vintage Halloween 🎃
