To unlock the doubles card, you have to play it when Doubles Skirmish is on. When it's doubles salvage, it does not unlock for whatever reason. Last few times its been salvage. Looks like the score is disappearing off the cards from the taken king footage we have seen so far, so my 3665 has probably been for nothing :p

Datto, It's working for me, and if it's not working for anyone just put your name in again a couple times. Because i had to re-enter my GT twice, but it worked!
the best way I did the patrol missions was use the event tracker go to the moon and stick there since its only 3 spots and all rotate in either a clockwise/counterclockwise manner. Also the events are pretty easy to solo as well as appear nearly 100% of the time. A good way to tell if a public event is going to occur is that they sometimes pair with the arrival of the wolves.
For Venus, you could go in patrol mode and head towards the right, to the room where a servitor and a few Vandals and Dregs spawn. If you kill them and head out the door on the right to where you can fall off, you can jump on the doorway, and jump even higher, past the wall, and they'll respawn. I'm not sure whether this is faster or slower than "A Stranger's Call" story mission, but it's what I use for bounties, grimoire, etc.
If i see anyone with a low grimoire score i assume they a new and inexperienced with the game, i like a raid team with 3000 plus grimoire (not talking about PVP...)
after about 2700 grimoire it stops being a reliable source for determining someone's skill in the game. I personally don't give a shit if someone has a low grimoire score, I'll take anyone through a raid.
When it comes to trials I never judge on grimoire score cuz most of the extremely good pvp players play exclusively pvp and barely do pve which would automatically put them at a disadvantage when it comes to grimoire.

Basically, play the game. The one card that grinds my gears is the strike one, they push the playlists but, if you want the card, you have to dismantle endless green items. The 'count as three' thing could be cool though, thanks for the tip!
grimoire does do something. it gives you the slightest like 5% buffs for weapon exp and glimmer from enemies and determines if you can get class items from activity rewards. nothing major but yeah.
For those doing Strikes as fast as possible, do the Summoning Pits. I would say it's definitely the fastest, and you get an Ogre kill every time. And keep in mind that you get one Strike completion per member of your team, wether you are in a fireteam or not. So your new matchmade buddies will net you the same amount of points as your real friends would. And lets face it, they don't want to run a million level 8 Strikes with you anyways.
On Venus, you could always do the "vex detecting equipment" cave. Just requires you to jump a bit to reset enemies. But it's a good place to farm Venus and Fallen (vandal, servitor, and drehk) kills.. as well as mid level engrams.
Funny you mentioned farming Colossus, but not far from there you can farm Hydra. On Mars, if you go to the Valley of the Kings, a Hydra appears among the Vex in front of the Gate to the Black Garden. I usually hop on top of the control building and use a sniper. You have to clear out the whole squad to get them to respawn. It's a nice way to level up armor or work on missions/bounties.
You can also do hydras on mars patrol at the entrance to the black garden. they respawn every min or so after you kill all minos and the hobgoblin. great video as always datto.
Datto, you can get the kills for weapons in the beggining of the crota's end raid. they keep spawning and does count towards your overall kills for your weapons.
***** There are some kills that count towards bounties and overall kills for lets say weapons and enemy types. I have completed bounties while in raids (vex minds, 100 critical kills), of course i didnt go to a raid to complete a bounty, however the completion showed up while doing stuff there. I am going to test this again since the last time i raided was about 2 months ago.
On Mars, there's a mission where you go into a train station, and have to destroy vex portals before looking at some pillar. If you don't destroy the portals, the enemies keep spawning at a pretty good pace and you won't have to do any restarting.
maybe you could have mentioned that combining grimoire objectives is a fast way of getting tour grimoire. as example warlock kills and ogre kills and pulse rifle kills! that way you are working on multiple objectives, anyway good video!
Yo Datto, try Siege of the Warmind. When you first enter the bunker, you can kill everything, even the last knight, and everything is in a line. (In the dark beyond, everything might spread out.). You can then just jump off and it resets.

Plus, its a lot faster to get to the farm spot, and the knight at the top of the stairs is much harder to kill by accident.

All I have left is Crucible kills as Warlock, Crucible kills as Titan, Rumble Wins, Skirmish Wins, Salvage Wins, Sidearm Kills, VIP Patrols and Public Events. I tell you, the Crucible shit is a pain in the ass. Skirmish and Salvage aren't so bad cause you can just party up with people for that, but Rumble is going to take a while. Kills as "insert class here" is probably the second worst of the ones I have left to do. I need about 1,000 kills as Warlock, which isn't too bad, but I need 2000 kills as a Titan which I am really not looking forward to grinding. Everything else is just a boring, low-intensity grind. I can handle that though. I need about 50 more Public Events and VIP Patrols each to max those out and 2,500 more sidearm kills.
you know what be lot more easier and better. Start VoG with 6 people (doesn't matter difficulty). Then just leave the area and divide each of your players to assign one area. That way we can let each other know and its easier to stay in one spot. Also I think you cover up almost all areas with pub events

Grimore score isn't really "useless" if you look through the app, it does give you a very minor ( not game changing) buff depending on the type of card. Like for example if you have a certain amount of hand cannon cards, you get a little buff to hand cannon experience gain.
I have every ghost expect 5 or 6 from the HoW which i was actually going to do tonight. Look for ghost is pretty relaxing especially if you know where you have to go and look. I have a pretty up grimmore score but I'm not maxed out yet.
Datto if you sit outside the black garden a hydra spawns every 45 seconds to a minute. It's a red bar hydra that is level 18. I did that to get hydra kills and auto rifle kills.
on mars go to patrol and go straightfowards unil you get to the cave where the vex come out of and the cabal come from. kill the vex and got to there cave and the cabal will spawn kill them and go past there spawn and the vex respwn. there are also chests relic iron and patrol missions to do
actually getting certain grimoire bonuses give you extra experience boost such as when using shotguns, auto rifles etc. There's other bonuses, but not really worth mentioning.
I am missing a bunch of ghosts, but when I go to the places where people say these ghosts are and they aren't there... I remember picking up quite a few of the ones I am missing too
Oddly enough, I was grinding grimoire this weekend and it didn't go so well. However, Datto just made it WAY easier for me. The only thing that makes me sad is one of my HoW ghosts is bugged, even though I had picked it up on day one of HoW. T~T
I maxed out my Grimoire a couple weeks ago. Now I really have nothing else to do. Only thing I have to say is for the hydras, that is the best spot, but instead use an ice breaker, shoot it from afar and go to the water next to you, crouch and shoot your leg and this will kill you. Repeat.

I'm not very good at PVP so a majority of those ones are way out of my reach. I followed your lead back in the beginning and made 3 of the same class, Warlock. To anyone just wanting to get a high grimoire... not maxed as it is pretty difficult for some to get to the lighthouse or something.... the easiest way is just getting all the ghosts and doing the endgame. I had like 2800 now I'm at about 3350.
I farmed Hydra kills by patrolling Mars, there is one that spawns outside the portal to the Black Garden. A Hydra spawns there about every few seconds along with a few Goblins and Hobgoblins. This spot is, however, super-duper boring.
I've hundreds of games of Doubles and still not getting the grimoire card. Is this card bugged or something? Can someone tell me or help me please. It's the only card I need left.

actually getting certain grimoire bonuses give you extra experience boost such as when using shotguns, auto rifles etc. There's other bonuses, but not really worth mentioning.

I am missing a bunch of ghosts, but when I go to the places where people say these ghosts are and they aren't there... I remember picking up quite a few of the ones I am missing too
go to one of the missions with the vex spawning circles on venus and mars, you can get infinite enemies form them
FOR PEOPLE DOING STIKES. select the devils lair. don't ask me why but it counts as 2 completions.
Oddly enough, I was grinding grimoire this weekend and it didn't go so well.
However, Datto just made it WAY easier for me.
The only thing that makes me sad is one of my HoW ghosts is bugged, even though I had picked it up on day one of HoW. T~T

I maxed out my Grimoire a couple weeks ago. Now I really have nothing else to do.
Only thing I have to say is for the hydras, that is the best spot, but instead use an ice breaker, shoot it from afar and go to the water next to you, crouch and shoot your leg and this will kill you. Repeat.

Thanks for this video +DattoDoesDestiny. I've been stuck trying to push my gscore up. currently at 3415 and looking at DestinyStatus I can add another 50 points. I'm not very good at PVP so a majority of those ones are way out of my reach.
I followed your lead back in the beginning and made 3 of the same class, Warlock.
I'm thinking of maybe deleting one Warlock and quickly levelling a Titan then Hunter for a few more points too.
I hope to get 3500 gscore before TTK.

I am at 3640, I am going to wait until Taken King for public events as Bungie said there will be more! Maybe even more fun ones too!
If you do the sepiks strike it counts as 3 in 1 so it's much faster
The one exception is Lighthouse, because Crucible meta.
Strike playlists worked for me for the 250 completions
I'm not sure if datto has a video up or not, if he doesn't then I have all fallen wanted bounties on my channel (the minor ones not the ones that spawn in a ship) if he does however his would be better :)
To anyone just wanting to get a high grimoire... not maxed as it is pretty difficult for some to get to the lighthouse or something.... the easiest way is just getting all the ghosts and doing the endgame. I had like 2800 now I'm at about 3350.
I farmed Hydra kills by patrolling Mars, there is one that spawns outside the portal to the Black Garden. A Hydra spawns there about every few seconds along with a few Goblins and Hobgoblins. This spot is, however, super-duper boring.
I still don't understand how people can hate Datto.
I've hundreds of games of Doubles and still not getting the grimoire card. Is this card bugged or something? Can someone tell me or help me please. It's the only card I need left.
