The Scarab Sport was painful to see. I owned one identical to that for over 10 years hence my user name. I also had E-Tecs on it and my heart jumped a beat for a moment as I thought it cold be my old boat but then I saw the 225's, mine had 250's and min had different color graphics. It was a super fun boat, made my 20's the best time of my life. LOL.
LOL!!! Boats can be a blast. I agree alot of it was painful to see. So many beautiful boats just a mess. Thanks so much for watching and hope you have a great night!!🙂
If you repair one of these boats, it must be inspected and will have a title with SALVAGE on the front of it. And good luck repairing it with salt water within wiring harnesses, interior and engine parts. My house in Southwest Florida was hit by Hurricane Ian and caused 10's of thousands in damage and we kept having electircal problems and other problems. These are not easy fixes and unlike damged cars, you will not find used parts at junkyards. Fun to see these boats-I live nearby. They just pulled another 60 hurricane damaged cars out of salt water in Naples and they are trashed. Even though these look like a score, you will probably loose a lot of money if you buy.
So sorry to hear that your house was damaged by Ian.☹ I would think you would have to be very careful buying a salvaged boat. Thanks so much for watching and wish you and your family the best! 😊
If you know what you are doing it's not a problem. Just depends if the engine was fully submerged or not. Electrical connections are not too hard to redo. I've had to rewire my entire boat in the middle of nowhere, always keep an electrical kit on my boat.
That’s not completely true my father had bought 4 to 5 boats to use for personal from auctions sunk boats it’s just really depends on if the motors are seized if not won’t cost much (in the boat world) to get fixed up,there’s very good pricing in auctions my father was able to use the boats for years and flip them for profit
@MegaDargar Connections are easy but salt water can actually get into the wiring. If a person needs or wants a project boat and has the time and money, I suppose these are the way to go. It's a shame there are so many. I seriously doubt they'll all get purchased. Most will wind up being shredded. People don't have $$$ these days and most don't want to spend the time fixing up a boat. They want to wip out the credit card and get on the water.
Thats a great idea and would love to be able to do that! This particular company only does the bidding on line. Appreciate your comment and thanks for watching! Hope you have an amazing day!🙂
It's very tempting and you could have a really nice shell or hull to work with. But almost all of them will need a complete rewire, engine and fuel replacement. Should have a massive industrial shredder on site. Start crushing every single one of them.
We were looking to buy but never found the right one at that time. All buying was done through Cooper Capital Specialty Salvage company's on line auction. We want to attend more open lots in the future. Thanks for watching! Hope you have a great day!🙂
This has been held after Hurricane Ian on Burnt store road in Cape Coral. Cooper Capital Specialty Salvage was the auction company. Thanks for watching!🙂

Most should be shredded
But a hull in great shape..
Rewire, new engines and soft goods your good.
Almost no newer boat has wood below decks stringers.
It amazed us just how many boats were there. Appreciate you watching and hope you have a great evening! 😊

Are you able to film any of the actual auction? Would love to see the bidding in action if at all possible. Great videos by the way!
There is a few channels on YT that do this with auto auctions, it would be pretty cool to see the same type of content for boats.
