24 grand....nice! One thing you have to take into consideration is the additional costs ie. fuel, insurance etc and maintenance when not if something breaks.

I have the exact same boat labeled under Carver yachts and it was an awesome boat. Thoroughly enjoyed it and all of the room. Onboard air conditioning queen bed what more could you ask for

Adding up the slip cost, haul in/out, winterizing, off season storage and in many cases initiation with/or annual membership fees. We figured we would spend another $25k in two years. This didn't include insurance, regular maintenance or unexpected problems.
water stains on ceiling in aft cabin...not a good thing to have a substantial leak...promotes mold and mildew especially during storage and colder weather.

Where are you located? How many hours does the engines have? Diesel or Gasoline? Are all the systems operatings (seawater pump, showerpump, air conditioning, audio, radio, dashboard, etc? Do you take a counter offer? Thanks in advance.
I started to go down this route. We visited the local marinas to see what was for sale. We found numerous boats like this from the 90's that were in good shape for right around $25k. They all seem to depreciate down to this level unless they're inoperable. Unfortunately, after looking further into getting a slip (in some cases needing to join the club), put it in and out of water, store it during the winter because it's too big to trailer, didn't have a trailer, etc. The $25k spent to purchase the boat, quickly became half of the overall cost of ownership for about 2 years and that wasn't considering regular maintenance costs or breakdowns. Instead, I bought a brand new trailer ready boat for about $60k.

Buying a boat as an investment is like buying a mini van as an investment. They are fun and if you can afford them that is great. Plan on spending many thousands more a year for your new toy, and when you go to sell best of luck.

I have one of these. Nice boat but the top side has 3 hatches, many guard rail stancheons and a large windshield. Adds up to a lot of mounting screw holes that need good caulk. Routine maintenance, it's the nature of this beast. Not as bad as one might think.

I had a Chris Craft 34 Crown in the mid 2000s. That is a LOT of boat for 25k, especially if its been in fresh water like the Great Lakes.
