The SeaPiper 37 (2024) | Exclusive Interview with BoatTEST

- Happy Friday! Exciting news-we have a new captain who's joined our team, Capt. Boomies. We recently attended the Anacortes Boat Show & Trawler Fest where we filmed several walkthroughs, tests, and sea trials on some incredible boats.
The SeaPiper 37 is designed for the Great Loop, river canal exploration and coastal cruising. Powered by a single 85-hp diesel engine, it cruises comfortably at 5 to 6 knots with a range exceeding 1,000 miles. She boasts a distinctive forecastle (fo'c'sle) design that blends the charm of a commercial fishing boat with the elegance of a European canal cruiser. Capt. Boomies sits down with Justin Parkins from Seattle Yacht Sales to talk about this must-see boat!
Starting Price: $399,000.00

🚤 Life is Better on a Boat! ⛵️
HOST / TEST CAPTAINS
Capt. Boomies BoatTEST Captain*
Captain Boomies (aka Capt. Kate) holds a 200- ton USCG license and worked on superyachts for 20 years, captaining vessels up to 150’ before retiring several years ago. She now is a delivery skipper of all manner of vessels. When not testing boats for BoatTEST, she often can be found taking new yachts off their cargo ships in the port of Baltimore, getting them operational, then delivering them to dealerships. Unbeknownst to dozens of boat owners in the Chesapeake Bay, Capt. Boomies was actually the first skipper of their boats. She is also active in boat instruction and making videos for her personal website. - Авто та транспорт
It would be nice if you would give a price range!!
It's in the description. Starts at 400k
Expensive 😂
If you have to ask then well you know.
This is an exact copy of the traditional Tasmanian cray boat. These boats have been used as commercial fishing boats in Tasmania Australia since the late 1800's.
i love that design
I'm so happy to see this review this boat has been on my radar for some time
Thanks for watching!
This little yacht is screaming Florida Keys! Maybe Bahamas!
I have been following this company for a long time and I am pleased to see how its truly outstanding boat is gaining more and more popularity, and the company itself is turning from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. I am sincerely glad about your success and the return of production to its historical homeland. I wish you further success and expansion of your model range!
This is going to be an awesome boat for the grate loop. 🎉🎉❤
I love the capabilities and pragmatic design of both seapiper 35 & 37, but i wish seapiper would hire a designer like saxdor’s to do the helm station and living accommodations in a single midship cabin. The outdoor commute after you wake up seems really inconvenient.
Righteous boat!
The thing that makes it so versatile and capable in many respects is also what you would have to come to terms with if your going to "live on her for long" the beam.
I like the design of this boat. Inlet waterways are perfect for this boat. Also you don’t have to buy stocks in oil companies. 😊
beautiful boat ❤
Seapiper needs to add an automatic kite pull system and I’m all over it.
I love it but think there are some concerns. Length to beam makes it fast with low HP which is great but asks for the expensive stabilization. The narrow beam and central cockpit asks what can you do for a dinghy without blocking boarding and extending slip size, and how does the admiral use the head underway in rough, cold, wet conditions? The boat's capable but the admiral is not.
If this were sold in Europe, I'd DEFINITELY look into one. Love the ethos of the boat, and have been following the project for a while. Very nice video. Here's hoping it lands in the EU.
Thanks for watching and hope to have more info on European availability!
@@BoatTEST Thanks for replying. If it could be priced competitively, vis-a-vis the Beneteau 34 (which is the best seller in Europe when it comes to trawler-type vessels of similar dimensions, and also a single engine boat), I think it'd be a winner, given its focus on simplicity, ease-of-use, reliability, economy, and relatively easy one-man handling. And it's a thing of beauty, as well. Love that design. Nice to see the new ownership be much more proactive when it comes to promoting it.
Cheers and smooth sailings
@@jjrdias Thank you! The starting price is $399,000. We hope to get to full test on it!
Cool boat
Justin kept saying "this price point" without even giving a ballpark base price. It would be nice to know if it's closer in price to a Ranger 31S or a Ranger 43S
Starts at 400k. It's in the description
@@BaldKiwi117 thank you for helping us out! : )
Come to norway!!!
I saw a used 35 for around 260K. I think 2020. A used 2018 35 for around $195K. Nice cool unique mini yacht though.
starting at $399,000
Can Seapiper be fitted with an Electric drive plus Battery bank?
Apparently the production costs + commission didn't line up with the SeaPiper 35 so it was magically extended to become a SeaPiper 37.
Starting Price: $399,000.00 it’s in the description.
This is a really fantastic boat. Will it also be avaiable in Europe, lets say in the Nederlands or Germany?
They have gotten orders from Europe. Or so he said in the interview.
A lot of good information except the most important part... price.
Sorry forgot to respond this boat starts at $399,000. When we can we put it in the description. So many boats come with widely different options, and the dealers all have their special prices. But we plan to start writing prices on the descriptions going forward.
Not a single word on price anywhere on the Seapiper 37.
sorry forgot to respond. This boat starts at $399,000.
@@BoatTEST Wow that's unexpectedly reasonable.
@@diernosaj We agree!
Beta Marine engines are common in sailboats in Europe.
Great Job Captain Boomies!
What category is it?
"talk to me about"..........
More boat, less table talk would be an improvement.
Just stick to my pontoon boat.
Ocean not too sure.
not good for backing in a slip
This is a dumb design. The helmsperson has a great view of the forward cabin and not much else. If there are people standing in the middle deck he has no forward view at all. Sorry replace "dumb" with "dangerous"
A steel hull would be better.
It would also cost at least half again as much. I'm not arguing against you because I agree that a metal hull would be better. It's just that selling a steel, or even aluminum hull for what is essentially a "puddle jumper" would be nearly impossible in the States.
