Very happy to see you creating new content again! More than anyone else on youtube, I think your carving videos teach us how to get great results. Thank you for all you do!
Doug you are simply the best doing it. You got me into this. If it werent for you i wouldve never found this wonderful hobby. And you seem like a genuinely great person. Thank you for all your time and effort!
This is great. You seem relaxed and really enjoying yourself. Cause you, “don’t care”….you “don’t care”. 😂 Love it. Your trailer is awesome and makes a great recording studio. Thank you so much. 👍
Doug, thanks for doing another 1 x 1 video! These are my favorite. Couple that with your camper in an outdoors setting and it doesn't get better than that!
Hey Doug thank you for putting out another great video for us viewers and novice carvers . I really enjoy the content that you’re putting out. You’re very easy to understand your technique.
Made a bunch of the first version of these for my wife and friends and They love them!! Looks like i have a new project this weekend!! Thanks for everything Doug!!
So glad to see you've made it to the big time Doug,i remember watching you sitting in a cold wet tent on the ground out in the wilderness and freezing your bum off,but now look at You now! Im so glad your back doing the things you love doing the most and having all the shelter you need just in case a storm or snowstorm pops up.Carve on brother!
Hey Doug. Loving the trailer set up. I too have property in the sequoias and absolutely love carving out in the woods. So happy to watch your videos. Great content and down to earth. Thank you for what you do.❤
2:22 Your reminder to wear a glove saved me yesterday. I was doing your bear carving and right after you said “rock, don’t push,” I pushed my knife into my hand HARD. Still got a cut but it would have been an ER trip and maybe surgery without the glove. Love your videos!
I happy your back carving and feeling better Doug!!!You're beyond fun to watch and listen too. I learned how to carve from you 4 years ago and always enjoy anything you record!!Keep up the amazing videos. You're an inspiration to so many people!!!💜💜
You are so amazing. I really love your carvings. I'v watched many of your fishing and camping trips. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your videos 😀
Doug, we were doing a carving demo for the Outaouais Wood Carvers Club, at the Carp Farmers Market, west of Ottawa, when a lady came up to us, and excitedly wanted to introduce us to this wonderful Canadian on UTube that we could learn so much from. She was so disappointed to find we had both been watching Doug’s videos since the beginning. She was not a carver, but knew one of your family members. All the best.
Those chip cuts around the nose and mouth are so satisfying…never gets old…I have a Coleman rubicon 1400 trailer that you’re giving me some dangerous ideas for…look another rabbit hole!
Great carve from your camper! The lighting was perfect! I’m not a big fan of flat plane carving, something about all those edges makes me want to round them off lol. But that’s just me, I plan on giving this a try and we’ll see how it goes. Can’t wait for the next video!
I've been following you and your kids for a while now more of an outdoors canoe camper but I'm retiring in April and I'm still gonna do canoe trips / water camping but I'm very interested in your carving bought all the tools and starting to practice .thanks for your vids I can slowly follow u and carve little projects
I am dying for that edge rule you have! it's just so expensive to get one here in the states. Also, the different eyes were VERY helpful! thanks so much!
thanks for the video. yesterday I got an OCCT knife grate knife I was so excited to use it I slipped up and jammed the knife into my finger and got it glued up at urgent care. I cant carve a for a couple of weeks. cant wait to see what you come up with next.
First, I want to say how much I enjoy watching your videos. It’s been ten years since I carved anything because I’ve been working metal. Hoping to get back in to it. I have seen that you were working in a nice studio in your house, and now you’re in the trailer. Am I watching the videos out of order or did you decide to go on the road? I lived in my RV and did my craft on the road for years and finally settled back into a house, but when I was traveling, I would have loved to work in a trailer set up like you have instead of a tent.
I'm beginning my 3Th fall and to busy with garden and "other stuff" but am setting up a studio for carving in my unheated sun room that never goes much below 40s and 3 sides windows yes a good carving location. Lots of others that can carve but I find you as my best teacher for characters Perhaps you can make sexy cute pumpkin girls yea they will have big pumpkin rounded bottoms! I'm thinking no habits for aiming at my body parts is great advice but gloves can possibly be handy if we have mishaps. Thanks many times.

I’d like to hear a bit about how you painted those pumpkin men. The color on their faces is great.
❤

Listen to cow clean that top cross cut sounded when doing the stem.
what's a good sharpening angle ?
😁👍🏼
Love your work, any advice on where to get your v tools I can’t find them anywhere
Chipping away is where I got mine -treeline may have as well
I find the camera angle to be fine.
Because of mobility issues in my hands, I need to use a 2 x 2 piece of wood. How would you increase the measurements so that I can do that?
I’d double everything
Ever done a turtle ?
Can you make us a bat please?
Birdy
Never know what may come
Where do you purchase a ruller like that?
Lee valley by veritas -overpriced for what it is but I’d buy it again lol
@@dougLinker thank you
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🔪🔪🔪🔪
