Leave it IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII love it!!! Really complex harmonies!!! I play it even now during this year. It is so funky when that bass comes in by Chris Squire!!! Love it!!! Yes is an extraordinary excellent band!!! That's why they have been one of my all_time favorite Rock band. good reaction.
The Trevor Horn production is beautiful. He produced a lot of groups in the 80s like Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Art of Noise, ABC, Grace Jones, Pet Shop Boys, Godley & Creme, Simple Minds, and more.
I love the video for this song. We were just learning what we could do with computer graphics. Today any teenager can make those graphics, but this was ground breaking stuff for the time. On top of the images being manipulated, they are all moving, those were not still photos.
I've loved this song since I first heard it! I'm a sucker for the lush sounds woven together with tight harmonies, and prog plus some funk just hits the spot.
This is an album where I listen to it start to finish. One of my favorites. I would listen to it on my Sony Walkman while learning to code on my Commodore 64. Good memories.
It’s amazing how many of the lyrics I remember. I have not heard this song in a very long time. ❤❤❤ This is also one of the best commands you can teach your dog lol
Yes. My 3rd favorite band. Chris Squire's bass playing is legendary. "Wonderous Stories" is one of my favorite songs by Yes. I love the old Yes, "And You And I", and "Your Move/All Good People". Glad you liked the studio version of Leave It. Acapella was nice, too.
I used to listen to this album on repeat. "Changes" is another good one. The Acapella version really showcases the vocals, especially without the wacky video.
One of my many Yes favourites ❤ I first heard it on the 9012Live VHS concert when I was also listening to Close to the Edge; I was fascinated by the versatility of this band and was instantly a fan of both lineups. 😊
MTV did an April Fools prank and did like 18 different versions nearly all day but did them all upside down! We turned our Tv upside down to see it correctly! Lol
Ok, to answer your question of which to listen to. I listen to albums so the album version is always (still) played. When you want to give someone an “Eargasm”, strap the headphones on your friend and play the A Capella version on. This is also a good stereo test song for your highs without the bass to interfere. (Yes, this used to be important) GREAT REACTION!!!!
This is what Yes would sound like if it were a South African band. It "doesn't fit" into American or into British rock, not even really European, but something like what a South African Boys Choir would come up with. Very college A Capella group vibes. Just a piece of 80s experimental craziness. Does the song make any sense? no, not really. It is either a band insider joke or just words that sound OK together.
*MY GOD THAT'S HARD TO WATCH* That's gotta be one of the most bizarre videos ever made. Much like Pink Floyd Yes made some of the most interesting and complex music in Rock history and they've been doing it since the late 60's-early 70's. The bass in Yes' music is played by one of the best, Chris Squire (RIP 2015) which is evident in just about every song they ever recorded. Unfortunately they're a very underrated and overlooked band because of all this, with their music being so elaborate and complicated it's not for the common listener who doesn't want to think that hard LOL Suggestion: I've Seen All Good People ua-cam.com/video/vD_NbztLhpU/v-deo.html or Long Distance Runaround ua-cam.com/video/hVBebwszkGo/v-deo.html ✌Peace✌

That's the first time I've heard the A Capella version. It makes me appreciate the song even more. Thanks for sharing it!
Me too. :)
Singing along like a queen. I love it!
The Trevor Horn production is beautiful. He produced a lot of groups in the 80s like Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Art of Noise, ABC, Grace Jones, Pet Shop Boys, Godley & Creme, Simple Minds, and more.
This was a vocal MASTERPIECE! The A Capella version shows their vocal skills!
I love the video for this song. We were just learning what we could do with computer graphics. Today any teenager can make those graphics, but this was ground breaking stuff for the time. On top of the images being manipulated, they are all moving, those were not still photos.
Both are studio tracks. It got airplay but was bigger on MTV than on radio 📻 🎶 🎵 😊
Opening song ‘84 tour I was standing center front in Lakeland FL for this show Was AWESOME!!!!! And this as an opener blew me away!!!
I've loved this song since I first heard it! I'm a sucker for the lush sounds woven together with tight harmonies, and prog plus some funk just hits the spot.
"Wonderous Stories" will always be my favorite Yes song, and I like a lot.
This is an album where I listen to it start to finish. One of my favorites. I would listen to it on my Sony Walkman while learning to code on my Commodore 64. Good memories.
Those were the days. I never had the advanced Commodore model, only the Vic 20 😂
This is a great song and on my regular rotation
There were 18 different versions of this video created. A bunch of them are still categorized as "lost" media and have yet to be located years later.
I watched them all the day MTV aired them all back to back. IIRC most of the differences were pretty subtle.
Mtv played all 18 versions in a row in a marathon session. The 11th version (this one) was chosen as the "standard" and "official" video.
I remember rushing home from school to watch the newest version of
YES the greatest show on earth
It’s amazing how many of the lyrics I remember. I have not heard this song in a very long time. ❤❤❤

😂
I saw both versions of Yes live. Both excellent.

I love this Trevor Horn-produced Yes album. And there are 18 different versions of the Leave It video.
Crazy 80s! LEAVE IT!
Rabin and Squire laid down over 100 voices on the original before adding Jon according to an interview with Chris .
I used to listen to this album on repeat. "Changes" is another good one. The Acapella version really showcases the vocals, especially without the wacky video.
One of my many Yes favourites ❤

Thank you for reaction! Always loved this tasty a capella nugget.
this was pretty wacky at the time, it actually hit pretty well compared to some pop songs from prog bands. Thanks for the reaction!
My favorite song on this album. Fond memories from high school for me.
I love both versions for different reasons. Jon Anderson's voice gives me all the feels.
The graphics were cool for it's time. Trying out new technologies.
MTV did an April Fools prank and did like 18 different versions nearly all day but did them all upside down! We turned our Tv upside down to see it correctly! Lol

Love that name of the album is the UPC of the album. The question is which came first?
Dave Davies solo album titled AFL1-3603. A couple of years earlier.
My favorite Yes song is Shoot High Aim Low
So this is probably the one Yes tune I just couldn’t get into. I appreciate the harmony’s but it was a one and done for me.
"Oh no, not Snowblind." That’s funny.
Good one but fot YES average. More YES please. You have to do "The Gates of Delirium".

✌Peace✌
He's listened to both songs. Long Distance Runaround is the first YES song he ever heard. You can search them on his main page.
@jodij6280 figures... I miss everything lol
