LOL what matters more to Toyota is not you or your kind, but the Chinese, because China is the largest car market in the world. Before, Chinese had to choose between Toyota or Honda or Ford or Land Rover or Mercedes. Now they choose their local brands. Soon Toyota, etc will reduce R&D investment, while the Chinese cars will increase it. In 10 years, they will catch up, and from there they will never look back.
And the fact that in 20 years the Land Cruiser will still function as properly and realiable as today, whereas we still don't know how the tank will perform reliability wise on the long run
and itl still do the exact same thing for another 20 yeas to come with basic basic maintenance like oil and filters changed. There isnt one GWM car with the same resale value and reliability of any Toyota.
I kind of agree with some of the comments on this thread: I don't think the point is to try to say the GWM is better or worse than the Toyota. The point is that if you had seen what constituted a domestically made truck in China 20 years ago you would NOT EVER have thought about this type of off-road trail... and never assumed that in 20 years the cars produced would be able to handle such challenging trails. The only domestically made cars I can remember from 20 years ago were the VW Santanas that were everywhere! (Those were actually kind of great! I always wanted to get one and totally trick it out with better suspension and sound proofing and a full leather interior ... I digress.) I see a lot of Tank, BAIC, Jetour, Haval (and of course) BYD on the road now and they look pretty good and manage the intense heat pretty well. Will they maintain their robust feel in 10-20 years? Let's see. It should be very interesting.

Yup, I agree. For the first sight, I already know the Tank is not in standard condition and modified already. If this video purpose was showing comparison, Both TLC and Tank should be unmodified and equal factory setting condition. Otherwise, if the purpose was to show the capabilty adventure of 4x4 Full size SUVs, that was another story to tell.

Watch closely, both of the cars didn’t lower the PSI to the point for better grip. It’s a show and I prefer the stability of LC all the time and that’s the combination of suspension and structure that Chinese car cannot achieve
Toyota does not need to prove anything, however the Tanks 300 & 500 excelled and although I see them as a bit expensive they are both worth the money to invest. 4x4 Toyotas are extremely expensive.
Tank 300 and 500 struggles in off-road with lot of spin but land cruiser didn't struggle at all event ought it was not heavily modified like the tank 500 and 300. Land cruiser goes without any struggles, that is Toyota, Chinese cars just looks fancy that's all.

Theres a reason why these cars are cheap and comparing a landcruiser to a tank is stupid, you only need to take the front wheel off the cruiser and see how built up the front axle is compare to the whole crappy tank. As an Australian whos seen all kinds of natural disasters and travelled all over this country theres no other vehicle id trust to get me there. Especially something as bulletproof as a V6 petrol landcruiser. That things designed tested and known to do millions of kms, show me one GWM car thats in those leagues that hasnt had open heart surgery everyday and runs on lifesupport essentially to keep it alive.

На Танк300 и 500 стоят внедорожные колеса или МТ или АТ и размера большего, на ТLC обычная резина.... У TANK двигатели очень малого объема всего 2 и 3 литра, надутые турбиной и ресурс их маловат будет...

and the LC200 engine is NA compared to Tank's turbocharged...reliability and durability of LC is incomparable.
