One of the great years in music 1991 Nirvana- Nevermind Pearl Jam- Ten Soundgarden- Badmotorfinger Metallica- The Black Album A Tribe Called Quest- The Low End Theory Red Hot Chili Peppers- Blood Sugar Sex Magik Michael Jackson- Dangerous And many more
I remember well that year. I was 19 and it was a great year. I'd also add Tom Petty (Into the great open), John Mellencamp (Whenever we wanted), and GNR (Use your illusion I & II).
Could you imagine a time where you go out to your local bar to have a beer that happens to have a live band playing, oh look, there's a new local band Soundgarden. Walk a few thousand feet down the road to grab a beer somewhere else, oh crap, it's so loud, in here, Alice N Chains is playing. Lets go to that place down the road, walk in, oh awesome Screaming Trees is playing. I can't imagine such a place, but it happenedt!!
Yo that's still happening. You're probably just not 22 and going to bars anymore. And unless you sound like Breaking Benjamin, your songs will not be put on the radio.
When I saw Eddie Vedder with the drummer's microphone then he made a sudden movement I thought he would start swinging the microphone pole or something. Gotta watch out for young Eddie, he was a psycho~ What a performance ❤ Chris, you beautiful man.
Those vocals are magical. I would have liked to see Chris go on one of those shows like the voice as a guest and blow them all away, including the judges
Those shows like the voice is one of the many reasons why we will never see the likes of Chris again, ever. He and SG made it, from bottom to stardom, without help of this crap media. Other Seattle bands pretty much the same, they were so fucking talented. Look all the great bands in rock n roll how they made for the most without TV help, most TV chased them out not way round. Zeppelin told to TV and single out of their albums and guess what, they are the number 1 selling rock band in history after the Beatles which to me is Pop (I love them anyways)!!
Eddie V doing BV's on this? the bar has been set too high with video, universe explodes. Chris set the bar too high-period! Chill in your new realm Chris \m/
its weird i feel that my voice is tired after listening to this... god... CCs voice is so Powerful like it could melt anything!!! RIP CC WE ALL MISS YOU! :(
Man, if you had the chance to attend to a show like this, you're very lucky ! I'm from 91 and definetly wish I was born before... The musicians care about making good songs, they knew how to play their instruments (instead of making the whole technology do the job for you like today) because of that we could see a lot of talents around... I can see the crowd was actually excited about the show (and I'm from Brazil, one of the most wild crowd on the planet), everybody was enjoying the show, not being there to post on instagram and make such a big deal about something they actually dont give a shit on the next day... Damn ! I wish I could live that age !!
When you have Chris Cornell at lead vocal and Eddie Vedder at backing vocal. Bruhh I don't know what to say, it's just too much for my ear and my mind.

the idea that Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots are not in the RRHOF, make the entire building a joke.
I have a notion that pure human bliss will never be topped, thanks to this performance
Its awesome to hear Eddie Vedder singing with Chris such a great song

@@Lucarbarbarosa Nirvana is probably the worst rock band of the 90s.
I can't imagine watching one of the best bands in the world then Eddie Vedder shows up midway for some back up vocals. Iconic.
Best years of my youth . I was in crowds like that for Soundgarden and Pearl Jam . A stinky sweaty drunk mess . I loved every minute of it . 🎉
Hell of a crowd.. Rest in peace grunge.. You gave me life..
Word, helped me too through my first conscious process of self-discovery. Highly valuable.
I’m so damn sad. I’m 24 just falling in love with all this grunge music from the 90’s. Wishing they made music like this now 😢

"You guys look like family. You're all invited to Thanksgiving!"
That had to have been the best and most expensive thanksgiving Seattle ever had.

What a performance ❤ Chris, you beautiful man.
lol best comment about young Eddie
Damn, back when his voice was so powerful without a lot of pressure. What a vocalist
Hearing chris and eddie singing together, made my day ❤
Eddie Vedder on bottom notes whoah

Absolutely a beast love Chris thanks for the best time of my life seeing you was an honor R.I.P I still listen to Soundgarden love your Seattle bro
Chris Cornell’s banter at the beginning is underrated haha “I just spent the last ten weeks looking at Europeans”
4:45 Vedder makes it seem as if it were a Temple of the Dog concert.
How big are you? We have Eddie Vedder singing backup.
@@JimBob-vb8oz QOTSA had that a couple times too lol

And they had the best hair in all the land, as well
Agreed
Hey kids.... this is what a crowd used to look like

It's too bad that people stand around now like zombies filming the entire show. Especially when a few of them are directly in front of you.
That is absolutely INSANE !!!

Still does. You're going to the wrong shows, boomer.

Some of his best rarest most raw performances ever rip 🙏 chris
Great tp see Eddie Veder on backing vocals
This is what ROCK N ROLL WAS KIDS
This is the epitome of rock and roll scream!🤘
Something nasty about that dropped D tuning 👍 👍
It's more about how they use it than the tuning being incredible. The writing and the riffs are why is comes across so damn good.
Goddamn Chris was something else, no one sings like you anymore.
true
A legend of music Chris cornell
wonderful!!! Chris, miss you so much ...
Why this video doesn t have 1M likes
his voice just moves me
Absolutely beautiful.
i vote yes for a soundgarden last tour with eddie on the vocals
Wow yes!
Sorry, I cant get on board with that. No one can replace Chris Cornell.
That range difference cheef
Fuck no
Hell no. Soundgarden died with Chris. Their legacy will live on. That's enough (not quite, but it has to be!)
how can be so good...
I Love this riff!
The bassist's assistant: how low do you want your bass? The bassist: yes
Man that guy was playing it on the ground by the end of this outright powerful performance
