      It's not only overwork..there are so much politics in office just to entertain manager,senior ,head and rest of all employees..all of them harassing,mentally torturing, any single employee who is mostly either have no experience,or freshers ..all these happens to please either manager or senior manager or head to create intimidating environment,to satisfy their ego frustration etc and in most of the cases these managers,senior managers or head any one of them belong south india or state like karnataka,tamilnadu,Kerala,gujrat then all these have to have in company and those who don't want to participate in harassing,bulleying then will thrown out of the company..and all these things happen to satify the ego,frustration and create intimidating factor but they will call it we disciplining her or him so it's like 100 of PPL harassing bulleying any oner person who is fresher

    • @badbad-cat
      @badbad-cat Місяць тому +19

      Exactly what I'm saying. Europe has several strong labour unions as well. A company wouldn't dare to do this slavery in Europe, and employees punch out right on time. In Europe, if you had to work more you'll be paid overtime, if you join on-call at night you'll have the next day off. Those who have European clients probably know this already

    • @mein3324
      @mein3324 Місяць тому

      Cuz europeans don't act like slaves, they raise voice, they give importance to work life balance.
      In India, british left indians with slavery mindset. White is superior is instilled in indians brain.
      Indian education system teach that working hard is important, but no one teach that life is also important.
      Since they are kid they get into burden of studying.
      Take multiple classes. Many student in kota suic!de cause of pressure, but no one cares.
      These MNC sees it as opportunity and they hit jackpot getting billions of slaves who learned to work hard since they were kid.
      They can pay them penny and make them work to increase companies profit.

    I wish there could be a rule where if a senior manager or HR is wrong and you, as a junior employee, have proofs then these toxic and dismissive seniors should also get warning letters like juniors.
    In a corporate, you CANNOT pinpoint the mistakes of seniors even if they have done something wrong/ unjust with you.
    Because if you do then your days will be limited in the company. Corporates DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL OR PERSONAL SITUATIONS.
    India needs stringent laws that protects the exploitation of employees at all costs. And a law that also gives chance to junior ppl to report wrongdoing of their seniors or the HR person without the fear of losing their job.
    ENOUGH OF CORPORATE BULLY CULTURE!!!!!

Boy did she make my life hell, chased our current boss for months together to take her out for dinner and valentines day etc and then would make it sound like he was after her. I took her side stupidly and got ostracized. They both became an unofficial pair at work. And I was yelled at for wanting any inputs at work. I has no idea women like this exist. It never crossed my mind to do anything but protect her as she was slightly younger , till it was too late. She had also cut off her mom, and although just few years older, I wanted to take care of her. In 6 months I went from being the office favorite who everyone was smitten by to a non entity. Systematically worked on multiple fronts to eliminate her competition.

    Who will speak up against his/her boss? While it is much easier to sometimes say that you should speak up against toxic work culture, those who are in the corporate world may agree that it is not easy. How many can say NO to their bosses? How many can say that I won't work on a Sunday when asked for an urgent deliverable?
    Secondly, even if someone dares to do that, whom will they complain to? Which HR has the power, or even intent, to take corrective actions against business leaders and seniors to address the issue of toxic work culture?
    Not only will this take systemic change in our work environments, but a HUGE CULTURAL CHANGE. expecting juniors to speak up just WON'T WORK.

    Pressure of AI taking jobs, put the employees in fear of losing jobs. They are forced to accept unethical, unrealistic expectations of the companies due to that. In the name of productivity, it becomes harassment and mental torture. This culture must stop and remote work should return.

    In USA new graduates come prepared to Wall Street and Consulting company jos for working 80hrs per week. Then they work even harder so that they can get through probation period. Then they work even harder and longer to keep their full time jobs. Then they have to work even harder to get promotions and get ahead. If us Indians cannot put in such stupidly hard effort to get that big income Then we should avoid these type of jobs, it is not for us. You will be better off opening a small business to be wealthy and have a comfortable great life in India.

    Dirty corporate culture will glorify long work hours. But being a CA topper didn't this girl have any brains to see how her mental and physical health was getting affected adversely ?
    Let's say the dead girl was brainless on this.
    But what about her parents? Didn't they have any observation on how exhausted their child was and even counsel her? If time comes they should have told her to kick that job and look for work elsewhere in a better work atmosphere. This would have at least kept her alive.
    As for the solution called government intervention will not be effective since high chances are there that they may be bribed. Only if all employees discuss and learn to say no to unrealistic deadlines, some positive changes will come

    * nightmares, health & Sleep issues are common things for employees who spend most of their time in front of screen due to workload.
    * failure of Indian government who knows to collect taxes but will never thinks of employees life.
    * Many of us do cry alone because there is no way to resist the things the way they are.
    * Parents/teachers/any academic syllabus does teach kids to be successful at academics and profession but never teach how to deal with setbacks, negative phase in life, and this is the outcome. Society's conditioning is very brutal and painful.
    * Just like employee salaries are fixed we don't even get a single penny extra like that work hours should also be fixed.

    Was the Head of E&Y sent email or invitation for the funeral ??
    Sometimes family members want only close relatives to attend funeral. So unless proper communication sent- how can anyone respond ?? Also difficult for company to keep track of milestones in employees life live- marriage; birth of child etc. If employee wants attendance/ gifts, then communication from employee side must. Perhaps parents were upset with slow processing of Group Insurance claim for decreased employee. Perhaps they want all death claims to be on par with Defence forces death claims. We never know.

    Work pressure, nepotism and favouritism are in corporate environments/private companies is very common phenomenon and not a new thing. Education institutes/colleges should give training for STRESS MANAGEMENT and MENTAL HEALTH apart from curriculum. Employees mental health as well as physical health are important for work life balance. 99% Employers are focusing on finance capital and they never focus on human capital because there is abundance of unemployed educated persons in India. Labour Laws are just on paper and theory not in practice. Government should do safety measures for employee’s working hours, conditions and stringent in the enforcement of our existing labour laws.
