Glad all your concerns got fixed...eventually! I actually love the way Tesla lets you schedule service in the app and the combination of mobile service along with physical service centers. However, there are times that you really just need to talk to a real person in order to convey your concerns accurately and get a resolution. So im glad in this case they let you talk to the tech and show him. Also glad that he was so kind and receptive to what you told him. I had a suspension issue with my old Hyundai that I was told 3 different times they could not replicate. Each time I left their dealership it made the loud banging noise I had reported while going over the exit bump in their own parking lot. Ugh. Finally just gave up and lived with it...which is probably exactly what they wanted 😂
It comes down to the 98% vs the 2%. 98% of issues can be solved in the quickest most efficient manor that Tesla does things. But the 2% of issues like this one. It can make things worse.
Thanks for the story. Wow the fact you could talk to the responsible Tesla mechanics shows how important it is sometimes to talk to a real person to clear things straight away and to avoid misunderstandings.
Glad you got your issues resolved. I have yet to experience any issues with my 2024 M3RW, thank goodness. I am dreading the day I do though, because my service center is nearly two hours away. Anyway, thanks for the great videos. Keep them coming.
Honestly, no I don’t. I drove it the other day and I think it soured on me a little bit. I wish I hadn’t. lol The model 3 is just a whole tier above the bolt In material quality and performance/handling. So even with the issues I’ve had and as much as I loved the Bolt…I definitely wouldn’t go back.
This brought back memories....I mean nightmares of my 2020 M3 purchase. I had at least 8 appts in my first year. They fixed most (a couple I fixed myself), but that meant multiple mobile and in-person appts. But the most annoying thing was not being able to just talk to someone, and I think that would have cut down a lot of the communication issues. It's 2024 and these things are STILL happening. It's such a shame too because I absolutely love my M3, but Tesla needs to do something about service and quality. I never did get my window rattle addressed properly. It's not a constant rattle and usually only happens once per drive so it's super hard to duplicate, but had QC been good, it should have never been there in the first place.
I'm glad that they fixed all your concerns on this trip. Knowing what you know now regarding Tesla and its service center, would you have done things differently? I.e., purchased a different EV, and if so, what would you have purchased?
I can't believe it was such an easy fix. I can also see how someone would miss it, but wish the technician was more proactive in reaching out to you to replicate the issue.

Matt... Thanks for giving this last update. It's good to see that they addressed your issues. The steering wheel thing is monumentally frustrating! I'm still on the fence about purchasing my model 3. I just don't have the time to run back and forth to the Tesla service station to get problems resolved if I run into a similar situation like you had. I don't know what to do. The deals are so good right now. I asked for your advice once before, but I am going to ask for it one more time. What would you do if you were me???
When you receive the vin, you're able to go around the vehicle and spot any obvious defects to be sorted out before driving the car off the lot. I especially recommend doing so with any car as you get the most coverage at that time. Once you pick it up, some cosmetic defects become "up to spec". If you test drove the car and you love it, I don't see why you wouldn't want to buy it now when the prices are good for you (I presume you're talking about the new M3P) considering they've been manufacturing the new highland for quite some time now. Just my personal 2 cents.
@@tralexium I appreciate your response and I respect what you are saying. I was actually making reference to the model 3 rwd refresh.
