    Glad all your concerns got fixed...eventually! I actually love the way Tesla lets you schedule service in the app and the combination of mobile service along with physical service centers. However, there are times that you really just need to talk to a real person in order to convey your concerns accurately and get a resolution. So im glad in this case they let you talk to the tech and show him. Also glad that he was so kind and receptive to what you told him.
    I had a suspension issue with my old Hyundai that I was told 3 different times they could not replicate. Each time I left their dealership it made the loud banging noise I had reported while going over the exit bump in their own parking lot. Ugh. Finally just gave up and lived with it...which is probably exactly what they wanted 😂

      It comes down to the 98% vs the 2%. 98% of issues can be solved in the quickest most efficient manor that Tesla does things. But the 2% of issues like this one. It can make things worse.

      Honestly, no I don’t. I drove it the other day and I think it soured on me a little bit. I wish I hadn’t. lol
      The model 3 is just a whole tier above the bolt
      In material quality and performance/handling. So even with the issues I’ve had and as much as I loved the Bolt…I definitely wouldn’t go back.

    This brought back memories....I mean nightmares of my 2020 M3 purchase. I had at least 8 appts in my first year. They fixed most (a couple I fixed myself), but that meant multiple mobile and in-person appts. But the most annoying thing was not being able to just talk to someone, and I think that would have cut down a lot of the communication issues.
    It's 2024 and these things are STILL happening. It's such a shame too because I absolutely love my M3, but Tesla needs to do something about service and quality.
    I never did get my window rattle addressed properly. It's not a constant rattle and usually only happens once per drive so it's super hard to duplicate, but had QC been good, it should have never been there in the first place.

    Is my ‘spoiled brat’ showing when I think…why should you have to be grateful for crumbs? Let’s go back to the beginning….none of those things should have happened in the first place! You bought the car in good faith, you paid what they asked….ergo you have a reasonable expectation that the car will perform as expected. Even allowing for some grace….you went back once to have the issues addressed….you took your time to recap them and took your time to drive to them. To me, a second bite at the apple should not have been necessary. Would I be grateful at this juncture? Hell no. Would I be in a position where I am “hopeful” that they got it right this time? Hardly. Would I be grateful that 2 of the Tesla techs were ‘nice’? Again hell no because what other than ‘nice’ should they be when you are the aggrieved party? I hope world leaders who have access to the ‘red button’ have your patience. When I looked at the image with the crossed fingers, I shook my head and thought the heavens favored them that they got you and not me because at that point my vocabulary goes to..what free shit am I getting for all of this harangue?

    Matt... Thanks for giving this last update. It's good to see that they addressed your issues. The steering wheel thing is monumentally frustrating! I'm still on the fence about purchasing my model 3. I just don't have the time to run back and forth to the Tesla service station to get problems resolved if I run into a similar situation like you had. I don't know what to do. The deals are so good right now. I asked for your advice once before, but I am going to ask for it one more time. What would you do if you were me???

    • @tralexium
      @tralexium 5 місяців тому

      When you receive the vin, you're able to go around the vehicle and spot any obvious defects to be sorted out before driving the car off the lot. I especially recommend doing so with any car as you get the most coverage at that time. Once you pick it up, some cosmetic defects become "up to spec".
      If you test drove the car and you love it, I don't see why you wouldn't want to buy it now when the prices are good for you (I presume you're talking about the new M3P) considering they've been manufacturing the new highland for quite some time now.
      Just my personal 2 cents.

    • @jeffreye7179
      @jeffreye7179 5 місяців тому

      @@tralexium I appreciate your response and I respect what you are saying. I was actually making reference to the model 3 rwd refresh. The reason it's so frustrating is (and I'm a Musk fan) because Tesla talks about this revolutionary manufacturing process and yet I'm still hearing about problems with "clips". It just sounds like carelessness on the line because the robotics aren't installing clips into the dashboard.

    Perhaps you should have kept your Bolt EUV instead of replacing it with a Tesla. When you made that move, I was wondering if this might happen. Everything you're experiencing with regard to fit-and-finish problems and service centers are things Tesla is notorious for doing. As a very happy Bolt EUV owner, and having had Tesla Uber rides, there's definitely a difference in attention to detail with a company that knows how to make solid cars. Granted, GM needs to get their act together in building EVs at scale, but you actually had your hands on one of their one solid entries in the EV space. I'm never letting go of my Bolt.
