Hey Cultish look into the Santo Daime. They are a entheogenic religion who drink 'ayahuasca' and worship Jesus and Mary through ritual and singing for hours! I was apart of it for 4 years and praise be to God I was saved by Jesus 🙏 I honestly cannot find much online about people who left the religion to Christianity.
Reporting from Chicago, they are here and agressively, deceitfully, evangelizing. There was 90 people on the 3 week seminar call, our class started this week. Grateful God came and got me out. Everything seemed good - and lined up with scripture, I was told I was recieving a Bible education and that the "Chicago church" believes Jesus is God. My "spiritual mom" told me to cut every tie including my church, my pride was growing. God used a concerned friend with super awesome FBI investigative skills and told me right away this new church is a cult. Pretty ashamed, but healing and hoping God will bring about full restoration.
I was on their zoom meeting. The general manager of the church whose not even a pastor straight out refused to give me & my husband the source of their teaching because he thought it would be a distraction. Long story short we just discovered they’re a cult after some investigation. Had a strong feeling they were! Sadly a couple friends are heavily indoctrinated in this cult and decided to plague their loyalty to them instead of Jesus. Glad you got out quick. Sadly we studied with them for almost 4 months & worse the teaching got! Praise God we’re out now!! Were Miki, Melina or Jared your instructor?

They are so deceptive and do not say who they are or introduce their prophet until so deeply invested (years hundred of hours) into the teaching, I know God is merciful and chasing the hearts of those who are being deceived. Cast your burden to the Lord and he will sustain you.
My best friend since childhood got involved in this cult about 5 years ago, and he and his wife (One of my wife's best friends) are still in very deep. I've been waiting for this episode from yall for a long time. Praise God! Please pray for my friends. ❤

I was a member of the WMSCOG in Toronto. And this cult sounds so similar. They are so awful how they prey on those who are searching. They warp your mind with their love bombing tactics and weird theology. When I finally quit, my “sisters” showed up to my door sobbing that they wouldn’t see me in heaven. It was such a mind bending experience. I definitely stopped believing for a time after that. I’m so thankful for Apologia. Absolutely instrumental in my return to Christ.
First church I was invited to was the church of God in korea. The girl sat me down and explained their beliefs. Ended it with there is a mother god. I knew right away it was a cult but I sat through it and listened.

It definitely seemed sketchy but I had very minimal understanding of the bible to start and they cherry picked the scriptures to make things seem way more plausible. I had no idea about context etc. at that time. In addition to that I’d never experienced “love” like this in the Church before so it was really the perfect combination to get sucked in. They slowly separated me from friends and family and I spent more and more days attending church(?). It was mind control. And it wasn’t all at once, it took a long time before they told me the second coming of Christ already happened in Korea LOL By then you’ve already crossed so many strange lines that it doesn’t seem like such a huge leap. Like the boiling frog analogy - one degree at a time 😆 I’d like to say I’m older and wiser now?!

I was a part of this cult for for seven months, they are extremely manipulative. Secretive and untrustworthy. Be careful they will become your friend and like a second family to you. Stay in the word and beware of false doctrine’s.

Wow this was my life for over 3 years with SCJ when you count the individual Bible study, 8 months doing the group center classes, and then “passing over” and being in the church for 16 months. I am so happy I left and have slowly regained my identity. I’m now living my best life and I am so much happier.

Today I learned that cults try to infiltrate solid churches. Wow. Reminds me of Acts 20:29 where the Apostle Paul talks about wolves sneaking in unawares.
It happens more frequently than people realize, which is why its always important to get the word out and talk about this!
I unfortunately got involved in this cult, in London and almost arrived at the 'New Heaven and Earth'. As they started saying things that were doctrinally incorrect, my spirit felt uncomfortable even though I had been attending their Bible studies for months. They encouraged me to leave my church as this represented 'the seas' in the book of Revelation (Although I never did). All the things mentioned in this video are very similar to my experiences.
I wanted to bring my now fiancé to come learn and study, however they advised against this, saying that he could be someone who's heart may not be ready i.e. would question them a lot.
I eventually started to see patterns that this was becoming a works based religion which I knew Christianity was not. I was sleep deprived from the hours at the Bible study and having to travel far to these studies and to return home. I remember taking a test which I know I got all the marks right, yet we were all scolded that many did not pass and we needed to continue studying to be ready for 'heaven'.
I also found it strange that one of the leaders/followers in the Bible Study was married and her husband did not know she was part of this 'church' although she so wanted him to join one day.
I eventually did look them up online and saw they were a cult (another thing they built into their curriculum- that Jesus was seen as a cult leader, and to follow the true way you can be thought to be in a cult by the outside world) .
I left very confused and could not face them after speaking to my church pastor. I blocked them and when one of them came to look for me at my home, I would refuse to see them or luckily I was out most times.
I thank God I did not give up on my faith but it was a disorientating time for me. Thank God for his grace and mercy and His Holy Spirit which did not sit right when they said the Holy Spirit was not part of the Godhead Trinity and other false claims about Jesus.
I went to their cult yesterday and I asked them about these things. They had no words for me. So I left and I won’t be going back. Shincheonji is NOT the one true church lol. They need to repent immediately
Dude, I'm currently involved with an online bible study and when I asked about my grandma joining the Sunday service, they said that she wouldn't understand because it is based on our lessons. Think I'm gonna drop it because how the hell can I trust that they have this "revealed word"? And I think it's SCJ cuz they basically had us recreate bibimbap (Korean dish) and then one time they showed us a video with Korean subtitles. Don't want you saying shit about the lessons to even family because you're "new to the word" and want you to spend 3 days a week plus 2 days on weekends for activity and service. Then they say you can't learn to build a relationship with God on your own simply because you don't have the "revealed word"? Fuck that. I hate that they prey on innocent people who truly want to establish that faith in God.

Am currently in this Bible study. Everything said here is true. They make us not to make research about their organization and also we aren't allowed to inform anyone about the course or even preach what we are learning. Am very grateful I came across this page, I will leave immediately! Very heartbroken how they use the Bible to backup their explanations and one ends up believing everything they say. For me when I heard about the "New John" I felt confused and literally that on its own made me question a lot of stuff about them. God is faithful!

My sister-in-law from Korea was deeply and secretly involved in this cult for 10 years and God delivered her from it completely and she has repented and is following Christ now. God used my college roommates to break her chains. It was awesome. To God be the glory!

do you by any chance live in the PNW area? I know someone who married an American man and immigrated to that region. She tried to pull me into SCJ so I had to cut her off. Although I have not talked to her in months, I was always curious about her... if it isn't the person that I know of, hopefully she would get saved too.
@@sanah9954 No, I live in the SE, along with my brother and sister-in-law now too. They were living in Korea for a while, and all her family is still there, minus one sister in US. I pray that anyone involved in a cult - whether this one or another - would repent and be saved by the blood of Jesus! This particular cult is very aggressive - after she got out, they posted ppl on every corner beneath her apt building ready to kidnap her and take her back, but her parents stood up for her and would not let her go out anywhere. They pleaded the blood of Jesus over their home and her soul, and she eventually was reconciled to Christ and her family both. Now, she lives with peace and forgiveness, and in total freedom from her chains. She wants to help ppl who have been bound in darkness to see the true Light of Christ. To God be the Glory, forever and ever. Amen!

I'm from the Philippines and I just started their first class/Bible Study last night. I already knew something was off. Thank God for the gift of discernment. I'm still deciding if I will continue to have the class with them. I want to infiltrate them so I'll be able to evangelize to them

My best friend was in this cult. She got lured in by some chick asking her to do a Bible study. One day I was curious about the study and asked her what they taught and she started telling me about the things they believed about the leader and how he is the true messenger in Revelation. I knew nothing then compared what I know now about Scripture, but I knew deep down that teaching was false and carefully told her about it by walking her through Scripture. All praise to God a couple weeks later, she left. Thanks Cultish for doing this and making more people aware of this awful cult.
Me too I joined Scj June last year a person at work pulled me in I didn’t know scripture well so i figured to join than they started wearing white bottom up shirt and long pants that where also white they also where very good at bring me back that’s when I found out this video and found out it was false god bless you
I just find this as I was taking a "Free Bible Course" offered in Instragram, but some things were raising red flags on me. This is crazy how they mix the Bible teaching what they call Man Teachings. 🤐

This comment is for Chris, how can we get a hold of you? We’re in the same neck of the woods as you!!! We were told by the Chicago church who was holding zoom meeting teaching the SCJ Bible study that there weren’t any affiliates where we’re at. This was before we found out they’re a cult. Just left them last night. Our faith is still intact but felt deconstructed a bit from their teaching. Praise God we’re out!! We want to help spread the word that they’re a cult & not lose any of God’s sheep be stolen by the devil!

I joined some Bible Study classes with this cult for about 6 months (they went under the name CLA in Atlanta I believe) and it was exhausting. They drain you physically and mentally with their studies. Before joining the studies, I asked if they affirmed the trinity, believed Jesus is God incarnate, and pretty much every true Christian essential and they said yes. They straight up lied to me lol. They focus on teaching the parables at first which makes you think that you're studying the bible correctly. I only got suspicious until the teacher emphasized that Jesus was ONLY the "Son" of God, after months of studying. What hurts me the most is losing touch with some amazing people that were also tricked into joining the zoom studies.
That's so sad. Being worn down mentally makes you much easier to control. I went no-contact with a family member three years ago - it was hard to leave because I was so worn out. Trauma bonding is a real issue. I'm so grateful that Jesus kept you safe from the cult's clutches.

I am grateful God loves me so much He got me out. I was pretty prideful. I only had done seminar and was very convinced. Everything lined up with scripture. I was offered a "Bible Education", for free. Understanding, that I am chosen... being in the church for 6 years I had a lot of church hurt and I see how my evangelist leaned into it, I asked if she believes Jesus is God. I asked about abortion, and she lied. She straight lied. I am so devastated and I found all this the night before my first day of class and I feel so brainwashed and confused. Ashamed that this happened. But may we now use what we know to set others free.

Former "almost" member, here. I remember asking you guys to do this, last year. Right on that you guys are uncovering them!
My sister and I were involved in a Christian cult on UA-cam, what struck me is their use of blaspheming the Holy Spirit.. I got so stressed about blaspheming and putting a foot wrong. The "apostle", "leader" also said it was a sin to work.. they also started wanting to be ok the phone for hours at a time. The second you seemed to be moving away they kicked you out and said you are now destined for hell. My sister is unfortunately still in the cult and she has disowned me. This is just a small cult.. but the leader is a very narcissistic bully who talks you to death and everyone that disagrees with him is going to hell. I still battle with the guilt and fear but I did realize it was him and not God who did this to me so I am glad I managed to return to Christ.

Almost attended one of their services online. I’ve been learning korean for years and wanted to make some Korean speaking friends to further practice. I had known and was warned a long time ago about the people who would try to recruit you on the streets in korea. Never did I think I would run into them on a pen pal website. Started talking with a girl who was super nice and we talked about how we’re both Christians.we made plans to start practicing together. She said she had another friend who is fluent in English and could help translate when we got stuck. I thought cool that would be helpful. We talked on the phone through kakaotalk. They started love bombing me and praising me and asking deep personal questions. Then asked what denomination I was. I said raised baptist. And then she said “oh ok have you heard of shincheonji?” And I didn’t hear what she said as first so I said no I haven’t. And she got all excited that I didn’t know. And then invited me to attend their zoom service the next day and said it was mandatory that I have my camera on for “security reasons”Later I started to wonder what she said so I googled as close to what I thought she said as I could and yup.. the cult church came up. So I sent a message asking her what the name of the church was again. They both refused to tell me. It was really odd. I said “why can’t you tell me the name? I just forgot” they immediately tried to call me and would not stop. I said I’m sorry but I won’t be attending this service. I asked more questions about what they thought of their leader Lee man hee. And they just were vague about him. I told them his teachings are false and left it at that. Then it happened 2 more times but as soon as someone would tell me they are Christian I would ask if they are members of shincheonji. Got into a whole debate with a man about it because he was trying to convince me that Lee man hee was the only one in the world who can accurately decipher the book of revelation. He didn’t have any real reason as to why that is aside from the fact that he “felt” a certain way when he preached 😐
And what was so sad about it all was these girls said they were born into the church. Their parents were members so that’s all they know

this is so fascinating. i was a part of something that believed Jesus was a "physical example of a spiritual truth". He "showed us what we need to do on the inside" to achieve "spiritual maturity". they also believed that the "second coming" was spiritual for when the 144K "overcome" - the 12 tribes were "levels of spirituality" we had to climb, reincarnated until you reached Benjamin. the teacher also believes she is one of the 2 witnesses.. interesting how so many of these connect!

@@davethinkingsystems basically they get you to start attending their bible studies on zoom - they’ll randomly message you on Instagram, maybe spark up conversation with you in public etc (things I’ve heard from friends). I joined for a few weeks and left right before their in person bible study.
They start off light with the teaching then you realise as time goes on they casually start throwing in heresies 🙃 in their meetings they often make reference to false pastors and churches too.

Ask God for discernment and guidance, only Jesus can give you peace, if you feel confused, it's from the ENEMY.

If not, I'd love to see you guys get someone like Mark from the documentary on to talk about it. Like many who leave cults, they are left picking up the pieces but without God, they need the gospel!

@@LeThao-kz8uu I left them after 7 months into it. Having lots of red flags, but I waited and took the first test. I failed it and they kept saying if you fail you must retake the class all over. I failed it, and the next thing the instructor called me. The only person that I had told my disappointment to was the one who introduced me to zoom class. That was red flag for me when the instructor gave me the test over while he sat there. When I was done. He said he was going to move me on to the next class. Mind you I was doing 3 hours three times a week. It was exhausting. Then your study partner is a spy. It’s a person of the group using them to learn about you.. well I left I blocked them each one of them, after I was told not to watch videos as the OWO is being targeted because he is the promised one. They wanted to know if I wanted to meet him. That he was Korean.. I was what the… so I said ok, immediately after I hung up I erased everyone .. they just forget about you..

It sucks that I’m just now watching this. I actually saved a few of my friends from joining this cult. We’re over in Georgia and a local university has a few parachurch ministries. One of these is scj. A few friends of mine were meeting up with a guy who was mentoring them, and they loved it. I encouraged it because the university is heavily secular and woke. So I was excited that they had a man they could sit under and enjoy fellowship with. A few months pass and they send a message in our friend group trying to sell their commentaries and study bibles stating,”these are the doctrines of men, and we only need the Bible”. Red flags immediately right? So as I continue to watch what was going on I come to find that this guy had taught them things they didn’t know, but here’s the catch, they were true things. For example, he showed them that Jesus is the serpent in the wilderness, very sneaky. They were amazed at this. Eventually they begin to talk about taking classes by this ministry, that “they would show them how to truly study the Bible”. I immediately recognizes this, having been following you guys and doctor Martin for a while, as a trait of cult behavior “we are the ones with the truth, and you can only learn from us”. So one night I get a phone call from a friend and he sounded worried. He had begun to see through the charade and came out of it, but my other friend not so much. So we get on a three way call and I try and talk to him and tell him that this is a cult. He begins to talk about “this guy in Korea that revelation is about”. I continue to warn him and reason from scripture about the things that we’re wrong, and he said he was going to talk to the recruiter in a little. I told him, word for word “when he hears your doubt, he’s going to do two things. He’s going to make you doubt everything you know, and then he’s going to try and scare you.” After that we hung up. Sure enough, not even a whole hour goes by before I get another phone call. And sure enough, my friend sounded like he didn’t even believe anything was real anymore. I admit I was a little irate, but I tried to keep him in good sense. I jokingly said to him” dude, I literally just prophesied to you. I told you the future, where’s my worship”? I’ll admit, it was a little crass, but I wanted to drive my point home to him. Luckily, they weren’t so far in to where the brainwash took all the way. It’s incredible how these guys do their work, very dangerous.
Good news though, praise God my friend has since left that part of his life behind and joined a good church.
It’s one thing to hear and talk about cults, but it’s a whole other story to actually have to deal with and try to mend the damage they cause.

I am wondering how much of this cult is in the US. First time I have heard of this and I have heard about some cults via Pastor Billy Crone in Las Vegas, NV, of Get A Life Media. He has done his research on what the elites are up to as well. His eschatology is pre-trib rapture. And has a sense of humor. Anywho. 😆

i never asked the name of the group or bible study, I was invited, showed up, and was only taught the word only going through the scriptures of the bible nothing else and learned the revealed word which is all backed up by scripture and made much more sense and allowing me to want to be even more closer to God and only live according to bible standards. They never ask me to do anything that seemed off to me because as a professional athlete I totally understood all of how they do things you can’t come into my camp or roster as a client unless you qualify and you also need to adhere to what it is that I teach for the outcomes and reasons why you came to me in the first place. I only seeked the word of God and truth and I liked how our lessons are taught in the bible study. I’ve never been told any of the things I am hearing people complaining about. Everything has only been scripture driven from the bible pointing to other scriptures that backs each other up and seeing for myself how crystal clear the word is now to read and Gods will is plain as day. Most people just aren’t used to a certain disciplined structure, most people want to still live life in the flesh. Thats why Jesus said the path is narrow and it’s VERY VERY NARROW and people don’t want to give up their stuff. Friend of the world is an enemy to God. In my world of fitness…same thing people want results and answers but when I tell them what it takes to get there and the things they have to give up and the discipline that they have to abide by, they can’t do it, they grumble and complain. A person can be told they are gonna die if they don’t change their diet and STILL can’t do it or will fight it. I see this all as the same….y’all people love your sin and your life in this world. I don't know if it's a cult, but it's certainly not of God and there were some methods that I thought were kind of cultish in that they would give you guilt trips. I couldn't follow the full video cause I was a little confused, but the little I got from it was I was asking the guy why does it seem like he's speaking like he was in the book of revelations. Now watching this it all makes sense. The Holy Spirit had me on alert long before he showed me that video.
