    I get vivec being annoying to navigate but come on. It's Vivec. It has plenty of flavor, plenty of books, the Ministry of Truth, unique guards with cool armor, every vendor you could possibly ever want (including a few ones that are bad...). Granted it also has a bit of cut and paste empty areas but it has unique architecture, every guild you could ever want, and then Vivec himself ! Would put it in S tier but the annoying to navigate part puts it at A I think.
    Tel Fyr not being sheogarath tier is a crime against the Tribunal, though. It has gigachad Divyath Fyr who gives you permanent disease immunity, the Corpusarium, Yagrum Bagarn, insane loot including a ton of unique artifacts...
    and how is Maar Gaan any better than Ald'ruhn, the former is just a glorified pilgrimage site with no guilds, no giant crabs, and no pervert Redoran councilors. At least gnisis is a pilgrimage site with a mine, a few shops, an Imperial Legion outpost, a velothi tower right inside the town, and it has a decent silt strider network too (iirc ?)

    Tel Fyr is S tier for me. When I first saw Divayth in a full set of daedric, I lost my little 12 year old mind! Then when I managed to steal the Daedric Sanctuary Amulet and put it on.. I was tp’d to a Magas Volar! Killed a daedric lord and got the Daedric Crescent. A truely epic moment in Morrowind for me. All done, and discovered without the internet. Different times 😂

    Also there is Tel Aruhn, which has a slave market where you can actually buy a slave. And Tel Branora, which is ruled by a demented crazy lady, and where you can put down a rebellion for some hefty gold. I didn't know about the Khuul waterfall campsite - I need to check that out.

      Probably the easiest way to get an early daedric item is to go that cave near fighters guild quest with egg stealers and then find the guy in Vivec (the one living in abandoned house, sorry for not being specific xdd), or you could also buy invisibility potion from Balmora's "Master of Alchemy", steal that ebony sword from watchtower and trade it for demon katana at the khajiit's shop near mages guild (not the same as a real daedric weapon but in some ways it's better, you get a buff to long blade, you don't have to repair it, you spare a lot of carry capacity etc.)

    Nice video, and finding in 2022 other people that love Morrowind (in storytelling, immersion and emotions in my opinion 2 step above Oblivion and Skyrim) is wonderfull. I have to leave a like (even if you put Vivec in F tier... how can you be lost there? I find quite easy to find most places).
    You forgot about Gnaar Mok, Tel Aruhn and Tel Branora, and since you counted as "town" even forts that are disconnected to other places, there is also Buckmoth Legion Fort. And Since you pick also Urshilaku Camp, i think it's fair to do the same also for Zainab, Erabenimsun and Ahemmusa.
    And i think it's cool also to look at the settlements the player could build when enough high on ranks in one of the 3 Great Houses: Indarys Manor, Rethan Manor and Tel Uvirith.
    -Tel Aruhn: slave market, connected by boat fast travel to Dagon Fel, Tel Mora and Vos, only a couple of quest, various traders and one or 2 taverns. A nice looking place.
    -Tel Branora: home of the weirdest of the Telvanni rulers, various traders, various quest. And its linked by boat to Ebonearth, Vivec, Sadrith Mora and Molag Mar (all big cities).
    Also if the player completes the quest "The beauty and the bandit" (quest giver a woman on the road just outside Pelagiad), she will point the player to a possible "lover" in one of these 2 location (depends on the character gender). A nice plus.
    - Gnaar Mok: fishing village like Khuul/Hla Oad, with the addition of a Hlaalu manor .Its connected by boat to other coastal towns and has nothing else as services. However for me it could be a B or even A tier place only for some quests that end there or for being the nearest town to some quest locations:
    1) It's the nearest town to the first sixth house base the player must visit for the main quest (the one where the Dagoth lord curse our character with the Corpus disease);
    2) it's the place where you must escort a traveler that gives you the Boots of Blinding Speed;
    3) just outside town there is the Orc to kill for the Malacath daedric mission, rewarded with the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw
    4) it's the nearest town to Khartag point, to visit in order to complete Boethia (?) quest and receive Goldbrand sword (with enough gold ad with a lot of sleeping, a mission doable even by a level 1 character).
    With all those awsome quests passing there and their good rewards, the place could be awfull to see, but it still deserve at least a B tier.
    -Buckmoth Fort: like Moonmoth Fort, but with only Imperial Legion quests there, so is easier to forget.
    - Zainab and Ahemmusa camps: quite similars, both in the Grazelands, both with a couple of quest outside the main one, both quite near some Telvanni towns (Vos/Tel Vos and Tel Mora).
    - Erabenimsun: a couple of quests there too, but is the hardest ashlander camp to find, and in the creepiest region of the 4. And if i remember well, the one where you find the coldest welcome...
    -Rethan Manor: Pros: nice manor on a hill, easiest manor to reach (from Balmora or Hla Oad), beautifull landscape. Cons: small and simply compared to other manors. And since it's the closest to other town, it means also that is the least usefull in terms of "safepoint" where the player can rest, buy/sell and prepare stuff for missions.
    -Indarys Manor: Pros: the biggest and most populated of the 3 manors, good tactic position between Maar Gan and Ald'Ruhn. Cons: worst in terms of how it looks, average utility.
    - Tel Uvirith: the most usefull as safeplace to rest and prepare stuff and as landmarker when traveling in the area, the coolest of the 3 manor (it's our freaking telvanni mushroom tower!!!), if upgraded, it's guarded by dwemer centurions/spheres! Cons: the hardest to build and reach, and the less populated of the 3 manors

    i always try to imagine where i would like to live in and i like safety and cold climate and if its remote it wouldnt hurt. i actually like daggenfell for that reason. i totally loved that game. these towns should be larger, thats a flaw. i like realism. it would be awesome if that little settlement had a couple of more small towns. i also like the atmosphere of some of the fisher villages. i like swamps in general.

  • @josiahpaulthompson
    @josiahpaulthompson Рік тому

    Ald-ruhn is an immersive reset, I'd give it a B+ or A, but Skarr is a maze which knocks it down
    Caldera also has a secret ancestral tomb in someone's house, accessed through a trap door and a free alchemy lab.
    Ebonheart is kind of under-utilized, Pelagiad was more concentrated for the imperial vibe for me. Also home of you cat waifu.
    Hla Oad and Gnaar Mok are like ferternal twins.
    Khuul feels like a murloc encampment.
    I like that you added Khuul Island.
    Molag Mar is a icky place, and gives one PTSD. Good choice on Fargoth.
    Fort Moonmoth was always a temptation to rob for me.
    Mournhold, city of light, city of magic. Solid A for sure.
    Sadrith Mora is excellent, I'd give it Sheo. Lots of secrets in the small housed plus you have the crystal room.
    Seyda Neen obviously Sheo level if you include the surrounding starter area. Otherwise it would really be a B tier if you found it later.
    Skaal village is B tier, not as cool as Raven Rock. Thirsk meadhall is A tier, and becomes Sheo when you check out the stump in back
    Suran was C tier for me. There is like two or three things. Lesser Balmora.
    Tel Fyr is Fyr tier. Also, Fyr means lighthouse in old Norse, which the tower would have been something like a light house coming from the mainland.
    Tel Mora > Tel Branora.
    Tel Vos is epic, and left me in awe to discover its secrets decades later.
    Urshilaku Camp is nostalgic. Love it either way.
    Vivec in concept it Sheo tier, which I suspect Skywind will bring it to its full potential. Vivec was a merciless waste of time for many, so I respect the Fargoth tier. I would give it E tier just because it had hidden gems that were A and Sheo tier, like the Mazte Nord.
    Great video serjo.

    Good video idea, but your speech pattern is not too great
    You dont get excited about any of them, not even the top tiers, and dont really hate on the low tiers
    Feel like every city is "meh" to you, just different levels of "meh"
