- So how does the new AEROKON airflow control pin work and does the upgraded airflow pin makes a whole lot of a difference to the flavour & MTL drew. Let’s find out
One other factor that I forgot to mention in the review, that the throat hit is more noticeable with the new airflow system due to the air velocity is directly aimed at the coil.
AEROKON Airflow Control
The AEROKON Airflow Control is the first system for MTL tank atomizers that restricts the airflow directly underneath the coil rather than at the air inlet. This leads prevent the airflow being accelerated and distributed more evenly around the coil. The result is:
Better performance for MTL setups
More flavour (not very noticeable but better throat hit)
Optimized vapor saturation
Sealed 510 connector (the rim around the pin is the 510 connector NOT the pin)
Airflow: continuously

One hd coil/ wire topic, I just switched to some “Anarchist” An80 Nichrome 26 and 24 gauge and don’t think I could ever go back to Kanthal. Only issue is more wraps or large diameter required. prefer 2.5 and need 10-12 for a 1.0 coil (cuts it close with Kayfun build deck size though. Might try lower resistance and 3.0 dimeter
Thanks Dave. Reading your coil build 10-12 raps is a wide coil and limit’s your choice of deck. 3.0mm ID might as you say reduce the amount of raps. I am not the biggest expert on coil building the only coil I build myself is Kanthal round wire 26g 6-7 raps ohms 0.8-1.0ohm perfect for my tobacco liquids.

The perfect combo in my opinion is the iNtake MTL RTA on the Foxy one mod. The RTA is very easy to maintain and wick producing top flavour and easy to fine tune your preferred MTL drew. The Foxy one is super comfortable to hold & simple to use.

Well UK Dash since you mentioned 3 of my favourite MTL RTA’s 😊 I must admit it is not easy to choose. All of them are in the elite group. But I would advise you to go for the Bishop 4ml for the simple reason that you would own a MTL RTA that will stand up to the much more expensive Kayfun & Sputnik with pride and you would enjoy quality & flavour and the airflow is so good & silent that I am amazed every time I take a inhale. If money is not an issue the Kayfun lite plus is hard to beat. And the Sputnik is heard to find😊
Kayfon lite is a marvelous atomizer. My lite plus 2021 clone has a very tight draw but the flavor is outstanding. Also find it delightfully easy to maintain, it just works! My dvarw mtl cl also delivers amazing flavor -but seem to consume liquid faster.

Yes it is. The Aerokon pin makes a big difference to the airflow smoothness and can easily be adjusted accordingly. I reviewed it.
Since I'm having kids i couldn't chase clouds, now I've felt in love with mtl. Been using the koko for a year, been vaping with the fatality m25 normally. I want a game changer cause these fucking pods are expensive. Great review man. I'm gonna grab a kayfun lite

Over the years i found that lots of these high end vaping is just hocus pocus, it gets hyped up by the reviewers and like all vaping devices in the beginning they work great so the reviews are great later you start seeing " my....is not.."
And thats what happened to the kayfun lite.
Why should i buy this extension pack? And it it is fiddly little thing open to be damaged by handling it.
And like with all RTAs at the end it comes to the coils, wicking, juice.
In regards of this Kayfun, to fiddly for such an expensive hardware.
I agree & disagree Dragan. Not all high end in price are high end in vape quality but when it comes to svoemesto and in particular the Kayfun lite & prime the high end quality is across-the-board and vaping experience in flavour due to the airflow design, deck & chimney is second to none no matter what coil you use also ease of coiling & wicking, build quality of materials all contribute to the real definition of high end.

just got the airflow upgrade and a new 22mm kayfun lite today, the airflow pin is really really good in comparison to my 24mm without.

Got mine yesterday with the Aerokon pro pin. Can't be happier. I've been testing both and it's hard to me to say wich it's better, maybe the new one ( with the little round open at the tip ) gives a better overall sensation, but it's no doubt my best atty so far. So beautiful, clean, easy to build, so good in flavour, strong but delicate throat hit, so pleasant drew. Got it with a micro Alien coil wich gives 0.9 ohms and I'm having the vaping of my life. If the clon works in such an incredible way I can't imagine how good the original could be! I was looking forward to get a Dwarv 22mm, but now I'm thinking seriously about getting a 22mm version of this one xD

The air pin screw should not protrude beyond the centre pin contact on the bottom of the RTA. I really want them to implement this in the Prime but because of the Prime's external AFC Kayfun creators don't see the point. Anyway this looks like an awesome upgrade for the Lite 2019. The adjustment is infinite within the max/min. (Meaning a hair tighter or looser than 1.1 or 1.2 etc. Not limited to 7 different holes like the Prine) For me that is huge 👍 And because of where the adjustment is made, so close to the coil is 👍👍👍
Yes Adrian good point also it would be too airy if the pin protrudes. The prime airflow is already very smooth albeit more prone to something going wrong as they are a few moving part, the Aerokon is much simpler method but achieves the same result as the prime. In my opinion it is worth buying.
They done a great job...but ur correct... having to buy a new deck is ridicolous !!
Should of been a air pin upgrade only...they made the parts thinner so they don't fit on purpose... I think this is wrong but I'm.not an engineer and.could be a valid reason for a new deck purchase...Merry Xmas to all...

Thank you Vape Traffic. What I assume is they wanted to re-design the lite but since the 2019 is expensive so they gave a deck option to upgrade rather then buy the whole RTA I suppose it makes sense.
I agree with you. The pin could have been the upgrade and they could have included the insulator to fit, correct?
Great review as always sir. How would you compare this to something like a FEV/bishop/era/phevanda type of rta in terms of flavor and throat hits for tobacco liquids (black note) ?
Well Kang the Kayfun lite is a MTL masterpiece the Fev is close followed closely by the Bishop. For price Vs quality the bishop is the winner. For flavour and high end quality the Kayfun is the winner. As for throat hit the Kayfun & Fev are closely matched so either of the above 3 you done well and enjoy a very good quality vape.

I'm looking into higher end mtl rta, the most expensive tanks I've owned are bishop and pioneer. I've always want to get an original Fev but like you mentioned before it's extremely hard to get one, since they won't be able to ship to where I live.

I keep managing to just about resist the temptation to buy one of these. How does the flavour compare to something like the pioneer?
The Pioneer comes close on flavour but the build quality & airflow smoothness is much better on the Kayfun.
Hey NV, as I saw you like very restricted air flow. Did you checked out the MTL Pro Upgrade for the plus upgrade? It might be good for very restricted vaping and should have a better air flow compared to the standard plus pin. If you buy it please make a video of it. I will see if you like it more than the standard one. For me it feels better and I have the feeling that the cotton stays longer fresh..
For me chris the Aerokon insert is perfect and I have no need to restrict the airflow any further.

No Harry because the 2019 with the upgraded deck with the Aerokon pin (which I reviewed) is exactly the same as the 2021. Both options are on the very top of quality MTL.

Mr. Net VAPER I told you so, I have the lite plus 2021 and it's so smooth. The only downside for me is the thank I would like a steel or glass tank for one of my favourite liquids with Lakritz.
Please hand you any recommendations for a rta kayfun quality and taste but with a glass or steel tank I'm searching now for 2 weeks but pioneer / sputnik etc etc they are all from plastic, please can you give me a advise?

Thanks Bas you where right much better with the Aerokon upgrade. As for my recommendation for Kayfun equivalent with glass is the Perseus MTL RTA by Golden Greek. I am trying find who has them in stock for last 2 weeks with no success maybe you can find. Apparently it is amazing.

No Zizo the Aerokon pin only works with the new deck
Hello from Moscow!) The bases are not the same, the posts of the 2021 version are higher - it is more convenient to install the coils ;)

So other than the insulator and deck, the rest of the atomizers are identical? Specifically, are the plastic tank "glass" from the 2019 compatible with the 2021?

@vtr 2828. The Tripod is excellent MTL I am testing it now hopefully my review will be uploaded next weekend. So far the tripod stands up to the Poineer equaled by the Bishop that is half the price!! The only difference in flavour is that the tripod is a richer flavour (on core clapton 1.ohm) and the Bishop & pioneer are sharper flavour but same quality. As for the Kayfun lite the flavour is combined so it is the happy medium. I hope the above makes sense to you.

I don’t think you should give up so quickly on the tripod maybe it is your wicking method or coil you use that is muted the flavour. Try a core clapton or fused clapton and don’t over wick.
@@netvaper will do sir, so far i've change my liquid still using simple a1 wire and cotton bacon as the atmizoo recommended me after i put some complain on their support team. they pretty fast working on my complain n after that am having fabulous vape. maybe the ripe vapes VCT liquid just dont work out for this tank. as u have said before tripod gave me richer n smoother and i can play the inner chamber like the spica tank. my only issues is that this tank is so tall.
That is why a side by side mod was invented to reduce the overall size of taller tank.

Well Alan i reviewed very good MTL's all on my channel, what i would recommend as the best all rounder that does not cost a small fortune is Bishop MTL RTA. As in regards to RDL go for the Augvepe Druga RTA perfect restrictive DL drew.
I can't seem to get any flavour out of this..Tried many builds,more cotton less cotton more watts less watts, Higher position of the coil lower position..I give up.Any ideas?
@Nesius79. I feel for you as the Kayfun lite is one of the best in flavour. Take some pictures of your build & wick and email them to me maybe i can spot the problem.

I think the Aerokon upgrade has a option 22mm or 24mm check svoemesto website to confirm.

Difficult to give a straight answer they are both same level of excellence. Throat hit on the lite with Aerokon is a bit more noticeable to me.

Thanks Joshua. It certainly is, the Kayfun is still one of the best all rounder high end MTL’s. As for the Ripley or the Bishop for that matter they are both one of the best of the mid to high budget MTL’s and you certainly would not be disappointed with the quality & flavour. Hopefully my best of 2021 will be uploaded later today I recommend you to watch the MTL section which is the first section to be discussed. Prepare a large coffee it is a long one😀
My lite has a serious leaking problem through the buttom plastic screw. I hear that this upgrade can fix that? Can anyone confirm please? 40€ wasted if not 😄
@metteby. I assume you mean the plastic airflow pin The problem is that your deck is not fully screwed down tight on the base. Unscrew the deck (the round section where the positive & negative post) clean the base & dry then re-screw the deck very tight. No leaking after the above is done
My kayfun lite plus 2021 clone leaks a bit though the aero pin -but only if I adjust it to far out. When adjusted for a tight draw it doesn't leak.
I'm guessing the cause for this might relate to some tollerance on my clone.
Is it aerated? I don't like restricted air.
You can open or restrict the airflow by the 510 pin.

I don’t have the siren V2. The V3 is more airy when fully open. The Kayfun is real MTL even fully open just a bit more airy. But I don’t like too tight either and I found the perfect setting with the new Kayfun Aerokon pin.

Still V5 airflow system suits me better. Not really a fan of V4, mini V3, Lite air screw system, with or without this upgrade. V5 on the other hand, with MTL kit installed, beats all the others for me.

Watching this for a second time and while I am considering the Lite Plus version I think it is pretty lousy of Svoemsto to have the consumer pay to rectify their original bad design.
Yes Brent I can see your point. To be fair it was not really bad & I thoroughly enjoyed the lite before the airflow pin upgrade, so in real terms the RTA was and still is one of the best constructed just with a easier to dial-in long lasting airflow pin.
Thank you, Nathan. I'm watching your video because I bought the upgrade and wanted to get all the info on it. I mainly bought it because I was having issues with juice leaking through the 510 connection with the old nylon screw insert. Not to mention the risk of stripping that screw and not being able to remove it from the housing. Any ideas of preventing leaking from the original 2019 510 connection? I have other KFs without the upgrade. Thanks
The leaking is a result of liquid accumulation in the base of the RTA where the airflow pin draws the air from the airflow opening on the base. Unscrew the bulkhead (the entire deck block) from the base & make sure the base cavity is clean & dry. Screw back the deck and you should have a smooth airflow & no leaks
@@netvaper Thank you! Another question came to mind. What would happen if the Aerokon pin protruded enough to make contact with the mod's 510 connection?
The connection between the tank & mod is not the airflow pin it is the housing which the airflow pin is in. That housing is fixed. The pin can be screwed in as far as you want to restrict the airflow to fully blocked but when unscrewing the pin anticlockwise to open the airflow it can only go as far as the rim of that housing, as any further you are basically removing the airflow pin from under the coil completely.
