    For the top cap I usually just find the indent and then use the ridge on the outside of the cap to gauge where the indent is. Makes it way easier to put it on once you get the hang of where the indent is as it is not exactly in the middle of the ridge but it is still way easier than to look in and then try to put it on.

    I really enjoyed watching your review Nathan, it was very informative and I think I may have to get myself a Ripley.
    Your passion for mtl vaping and NET juices is refreshing to see and makes a nice change to many other reviews that seem obsessed with sweet fruity juices, sub ohm tanks and cloud chasing and filling the room with a thick fog!
    I noticed you were using Black Note juice and on the video it looked like you had a large (shortfill?) bottle, although I may have been mistaken by the cam angle and it could have been a 10ml bottle. I ordered a selection of 10ml bottles of Black Note juices after watching one of your reviews and was very impressed, the closest I’ve found to a real cigarette and they actually taste like tobacco unlike many others I’ve tried. The only place I’ve been able to find that sell the larger bottles are Black Note themselves but only from their US website and the shipping costs and taxes from the US are extortionate. Can you advise me if you know of any suppliers in the UK or closer to home that sell to UK customers?
    Thanks and keep up with the excellent, passionate and very informative reviews!

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      Thanks Patrick. Black Note have released a new 50ml 70VG/30PG tobacco liquids. I reviewed 3 of the new range. Link here ua-cam.com/video/AC5URRSVGfQ/v-deo.html. They are not available in the UK currently only available in selected countries like Geneva Switzerland, Dubai & USA & perhaps some more locations that a google search should display. It is a shame they are not widely available unfortunately as you rightly say the shipping cost make these excellent NET’s not really worth to purchase for most.

    Another great review, as always. I've been waiting for your opinions about this one. The bottom feed RDTA style is my favorite configuration for tanks and I'm happy that they are gaining in popularity again. I feel that they do not heat up your juice as much as an RTA. I saw one other review and that person seemed to think that the fill port plug was unnecessary and that it worked the same whether the plug was in or not. Do you have any feelings about this?

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +3

      Thanks Chris. The plug is there to keep the vacuum in the tank forcing the capillary action of the Xylema tubes to push the liquid upwards which it does Flawlessly. It is the most officiant way of juice flow that impresses me every time I vape it.

    • @Hafensaenger

      @@netvaper They should have integrated that plug into the topcap like the Artemis DL RDTA and shape a cone into the deck, help to find the topcaps way to fit (hope you understand, what I mean).

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  10 місяців тому

      The cotton must be completely flattened over those tubs literally touching them and make sure they are not too thick. With the Ripley leas cotton is better especially the tale end so come them out a bit. Also you must prime the 2 tubs before you insert the cotton by dropping liquid down the 2 tubs until you see liquid accumulating at the tubs base. Lastly from time to time tilt the mod from side to side especially if the Ripley was upright for extended periods so the liquid travels up those tubs and moist the cotton

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      Thanks Burak😊 you chose 3 that are so alike in many ways. It is very much a personal decision not so much a quality decision. The bishop & Ripley are the same on flavour & smooth drew the only difference is the design RTA vs RDTA some prefer RDTA as the gunk of the coil does not contaminate the liquid. The Sure is a fresh concept by BP mods but Flavor-wise it is very close to other 2. If I had to choose one only I would choose the bishop I suppose…or the Sure😊

    Hi there, Just wanna ask, does the air tubes get close enough to the coil to give it an adequate amount of air flow therefore hitting exactly both sides of the coil?
    From a distance view it looks as if the tubes are wide apart from each other once you inset them, I'm worried that the air flow wouldn't be channelled close enough directly on each sides of the coil, and instead go pass over it??? I'm not too sure, and what would be the appropriate coil diameter?... thanks for the great presentation 👍

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      The airflow is one of the smoothes and the air pins are perfectly located on either side of the coil. As for the coil best is a 3mm ID but you can use a 2.5mm but I would had a rap if you are using a pre-made coil normally 5-6 rap for a MTL coil to make it a 6-7 tap to give the coil a bit more width as it will be easier to secure the coil legs under the post. But really you can use any MTL coil no problem at all.

    First of all thanks for that great review. I do not like hot vape and always prefer atomizers giving warm vape. Bishop seems to give warm vape but if you compare the temperatures of vape between Bishop and Ripley , what do you say? I liked Ripley but I do not now which one to buy considering the temperatures of both vapes.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      @Serkan Sozen. Thanks, as for the warm vape they are very much alike in flavour & smoothness of drew. The only difference is in the design. Some would say that the Ripley as a RDTA so your mouthpiece is closer to the coil and as such the vape should be a tad warmer I personally did not notice any noticeable difference.

    Nice review as always! Thank you!

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      Well Nuno I do like them both but the Ripley is just more compact and so easy to maintain also as a rdta the liquid stays fresh for longer without contamination from the gunk of the coil So the FEV stays on my office desk and the Ripley is on constant use.

  • @jaggery77

    Hey Nathan,
    How is it performing your standard coil cleaning you do when rewicking when the bottom tank and tubes still have liquid? The tubes fall out? Do you have to hold them when you’re dipping the coil in water when cleaning the coil? Or does it all stay in even without cotton to hold the tubes in when your dipping upside down in your cup of water?
    Second. Any new thoughts with the issues of the fill plug orings breaking and not having replacements. Kind of seems like an eventual deal breaker for someone. Thoughts?
    Thanks as always!!

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  Рік тому

      Hi Jag. good question😊 well.. I hold the RTA sideways carefully under a gently running tap so the water hits only the hot coil & the tubs stay firmly in place. As for the fill plug yes one must be careful but I advise to buy one spare fill plug that I believe comes with a few spare 0 rings just in case. So far mine is perfect.

    Hi Nathan! Great review :)
    I love my Bishop, it has a good flavor, but I still don't know what I love more: Bishop or Pioneer. I was thinking about getting Ripley as I'm a huge fan of RDTAs but there are not a lot of good ones. I have one question: does Ripley leak when left on the side? When I'm sitting and an RDTA is in the pocket of my jeans, most of the RDTAs leak a lot, does Ripley has the same problem?

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks Denis. The Pioneer’s flavour is very good but the build quality is not, the Bishop has them both plus the smoothest airflow but lacks a bit on the flavour sharpness of the pioneer. As for the Ripley If left on the side for a reasonable time it doesn’t leak (I never tried it for long periods) as for Jeans pockets I have no idea as put all my RTA’s in my shirt pocket upright or bit slanting on its side in the pocket and the Ripley never leaked as far.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +1

      Update Denis, I left the Riplay on it's side the whole night & no leaking at all. In fact I found it to be advisable to leave it laying flat if you do not vape it for a while as it keeps the cotton saturated.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      Yes Nicos. Make sure to press down the cotton so it actually touches & covering fully the top of the tubs otherwise the cotton can’t absorb the liquid. The fluff of the cotton is to separate the strands of cotton but then you need to press them down ( in contras to the bishop that the fluffing is crucial to absorb the liquid from the top) Also by tilting the tank to the side every once in awhile keeps the wick saturated especially important when the tank is half full and left over night upright so in the morning keep it on its side foe a few minutes

      Can you also give a flavor rating out of 10 for those? (ripley, bishop, artemis, expromizer v5, and others you may recommend).
      edit: took out the siren v4, building on it looks too hard for my big shaky hands.
      Edit 2: slammed in a 26ga kanthal 6 wraps 2.5mm in the expro v5..raised the coil a bit..17 watts, 4 airflow holes open..for some reason I only get extreme flavor when it's cut all the way down which is too tight for me. And even with it fully open it feels more restricted to my taste suddenly. with it fully open which inserts does that equate to in the Ripley?

Another option is the Pioneer which delivers very sharp flavour but you need to watch my tutorial on how to wick the Pioneer properly. Another option if you want to buy a High End MTL is the Kayfun lite 2021 which in my book is the best all rounder but it will cost you near 100 euro but you would not need any other MTL ever.

    Thanks Nathan for a great review once again. Thinking of getting the Ripley as a second mtl accompanying the Berserker B3. Do you recommend it or you suggesting the Bishop. And another question. Can you find spare caps for the liquid hole if you lose the one provided?

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  Рік тому

      The Ripley in essence is like the bishop on flavour, silent smooth drew and both have the same deck design in regards to coiling & wicking. Obviously the main difference is the RDTA factor and liquid filling ports. If you loose the plug over the liquid feeding hole it will be a problem finding another. Other then that I enjoy the Ripley as much as the bishop. Another plus with this design that the liquid in the tank always is clear of coil gunk as there is no contact between them.

    Once again a great review, bought a ripley on the strength of it. I can’t help wonder though if you have the coil measurements a little mixed up, the way you describe it is to add another wrap will convert 2.5mm coil to 3mm, those measurements are the internal diameter and not the width, perhaps I mis-heard, anyway thanks again!!

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Barry. When I said to add another rap I meant the 2.5mm ID has say 5 raps by adding another rap the coil ID remains the same 2.5mm but simply wider on the width not ID. Reason for adding another rap is simply convenience that the coil legs should fit easier to the slightly offset post. Obviously if you use a 3mm ID the coil would be bigger on the inner diameter but if the coil has 5 raps you can add width by adding another rap as well. In both cases in might change the ohms just a bit but that doesn’t really matter.

    One downside that I found on the Bishop is that after 3-4 refills, when your coil and cotton gets darkened, the residue somewhat seeps unto the tank (even when I cleaned the condensation well) thus contaminated the remaining liquid in the tank and affect the flavor so it'll be much less enjoyable. This problem is not exclusive on the Bishop as many other RTAs have this problem too, as also many others don't. Do you have the same problem as I do sir? If yes, is this new rendition alleviate the problem? I really enjoy all your reviews! 😁

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +2

      My solution Timothy is to change my cotton & clean the coil every 2 days to avoid the exact issue you described. It is especially important with NET’s that tend to gunk the coil much faster then any other liquid. The end result is that my liquid is always fresh without darker strands seeping in the tank from the gunk buildup. Incidentally It is very easy to do on the Bishop & Ripley but I do it on all my MTL RTA’s that I vape often.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +1

      I just want to add an important point as pointed out in the comment from M Piza that since on the Ripley the coil & wick is above the liquid you would not experience the darker streaks in the liquid as it would not seep downward from the gunk on the coil & wick to the tank. Although if not cleaned you would notice a muted or foul taste after a while so in any case I recommend to change your wick & clean your coil often.

    Hey Nathan, hope you read a comment on a year old video!
    I am very short of buying either a ripley or a bishop (maybe even both to get the 1.8mm pins in black for the bishop!) - or a whole other route and get a steamcrave aromamizer.
    My biggest concern is: Having them lay around sideways. My experience with DTL RDTAs has been mediocre at best in this regard.
    So for now the bishop is the favourite, even though its very hard even to get any spare parts for it here in Germany. So maybe it'll just be the aromamizer.
    I've bought the ZQ Trio RTA on your "recommendation" over a year ago and have been verry happy with it with both the bottom AFC fully open and using it to RDL.
    Hope i can replicate this with a bishop / ripley with 1.8mm or 2.0mm AFC pins.
    Why bishop / ripley over aromamizer? Silent airflow, easier wicking.
    Or whats your take on this?
    Any recommendation or tip to help me make a decision?

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  Рік тому

      @RedcubeX24. I always try to reply to all comments😊 As for your question. Both RTA’s the bishop & the Classic by steam crave ( I assume that is what you meant) are very good but the delivery of flavours is somewhat different. The Bishop delivers a slightly softer but richer rounded flavour while the Classic delivers sharper & focused flavours. Wicking is easier on the Bishop. Airflow both are very smooth. If you vape Smokey Latakia’s or English mixture go for the classic. If you vape blond tobacco like Virginia (blond tobacco) or fruity or desserts go for the bishop. The Ripley delivers similar flavours and airflow & deck like the bishop but as a RDTA it has an one advantage that the liquid does not get contaminated by gunked up coils but a bit more tricky with the alignment of the top cap with the liquid hole plug also that plug is very easy to loose. So the bishop Vs Ripley the bishop is the better option in my opinion.

    I've just got one for myself (with Converter SBS mod). My previous MTL devices were Cthulhu Hastur RTA (a rather poor device) and Dvarw FL 22 (a perfect tank for everyday use). I've used latter one since it's release in 2019.
    What got my interest in Ripley is it's Xylem tubes, that design by itself is quite interesting. Like a challenge - could these tubes actually provide enough liquid to the wick? So, when my Ripley arrived to me, i first tried using it with 70vg/30pg juice, and, sadly, i couldn't get nonstop juice flow. So, i had to use meshes to upstream the juice, and even with them i had dryhits from especially continuous vaping.
    But, as one could expect, things got better on Ripley with 50/50 liquids. It's beautiful, and sure can provide enough juice.
    Dvarw is still a winner for me, not in flavor (Ripley is on par for me), but in overall performance - I've never had issues with dryhits, even though i wick it with almost random amount of cotton, it's just too reliable itself.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  Рік тому

      @Vladislav Mikhailov. The trick with wicking the Replay is, first to prime the tubs i.e. to fill them until you see the liquid puddle at the base, then flatten the cotton ends right over those tubes, if there is any gap between the cotton and the tubs it will not wick right. From time to time give the Replay a tilt side ways wither way so to ensure flowing juice upwards.

      @@netvaper Thank you for the reply! My problem with the Xylem tubes was that my 70/30 eliquid was its' viscosity being too high (even at wattage as low as 12 W), so the Xylem couldn't provide enough flow, and i had to stick in two meshes.
      I've got my delivery with 50/50 liquid which i usually use, and i tried Xylem tubes with it. Have to say - the problem had solved itself! 50/50 liquid goes through Xylem tubes effortlessly when i vape continuously at 14 W. From now on, i have Ripley on my job, and Dvarw for home use.

      Ok Spartanec first the VG, yes I vape 70VG with no issues at all I never tried 80VG but I assume it will be no problem just tilt the RTA form time to time as it is a RDTA or leave it on it’s side for a few minutes after long period of not vaping it. You need to remember to fill the tubs with eliquid first before wicking or after cleaning the tank. As for flavour of the Ripley it as the Bishop i.e very good indeed. You will notice a difference between the pioneer & the Ripley not in quality of flavour but in the way you are tasting the same liquid on both. The Pioneer is sharper & the Ripley is richer so it is not better but different. Both produce amazing flavours. Finally you would enjoy the drew better on the Ripley it so smooth like the Bishop.

What to do with Berserker B3, to go back on 2ml TANK on which I didn't have any leaks problem or to stay on 6ml TANK and use a different way of wicking, more cotton or less cotton, larger "mustache" of cotton on both side or smaller "mustache", or I'm wrong with setting up a coil (wrong way with coil legs if is that possible on Berserker B3)???

    Good review, but i dont know if anybody ask for it, event czech review nobody mention what happen if i lost this holding pin for cap? You go to tavern drink a few beer, refill ur tank and lost this holding pin and probably you cant close it property etc.., i now thinking about expo v5 and bishop which is sexy, Ripley is an enhanced, but i scared from loosing this pin, ye maybe funny how i thinking right. :)

      @The Witcher. You can still vape the Ripley without the liquid cap just do not tiltj the RTA too much. As a RDTA there is no vacuum issues as it works by tilting when vaping. I assume one can get a replacement on various on line vendors. In any case I did not loose mine for nearly a year now, so don’t stress yourself about it😊

    That juice plug is a bit of a concern, should've been permanently attached to the top cap.

      Well Kevin if it was permanently fixed to the top cap every time you want to change the cotton you would open the tank and disturb the vacuum balance. The juice plug is securely attached by the 0 rings and very easy to remove when necessary. I think it is a very nice feature over the Bishop

      @@netvaper i have had to replace the tiny bottom o-ring on the plug five time as it keeps snapping! shame as i love this tank but have no more o-rings of this size they are tiny.
