Kayfun Lite 2019 Review......Good But Not Perfect

- Опубліковано 9 бер 2019
- Here is my latest review of the Kayfun Lite 2019 - I had the 22mm version. Sorry the review is so long but there were a lot of points to cover. This is my honest opinion of the Kayfun Lite 2019 and I know some folk will not agree but these are my True findings.

Hi Mark,
Well first off the reason why a lot of reviewers haven’t mentioned these problems is because there’s only been two reviewers that’s told the truth, You and a German guy who’s name has escaped my head,
I also had big problems with getting the tank off the base so I replaced my O ring from the masses that I’ve collected over the years,
I also had screw issues and SvoeMesto have acknowledged that there’s a problem with some of the screws,
Leaking down the air tube !
Yep had that as well, I sorted that by making a spaced 26 gauge coil so it filled the deck more and kept the cotton as far away from the air tube as possible to stem the leaking,
Flavour reproduction is spot on as like all Kayfun tanks,
Bottom fill isn’t an issue for me personally to be honest especially since I’ve changed out the O ring,
I’m a big SvoeMesto fan and have been since the original lite,
I have every model since the original lite was manufactured and still enjoy everyone of them.
My personal view of this tank is that they could have done better especially with the quality control on the screws and O rings,
As for price ! Yes it’s a tad expensive but it’s the cheapest Kayfun to date so that’s a bonus in its self,
Would I recommend one?
Mmm! Don’t know to be honest because for the cost of it you can purchase two True tanks that in my opinion are as good as the new Lite and have the added bonus of top fill.
Excellent Review though Mark,
Thanks for your honesty.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed response to my review. Its especially relevant as you have the Kayfun Lite 2019 in your posession and are able to judge from personal use of the product. I'm glad you found my review honest and accurate.

Ah yes,
Sorry I forgot your name Sir.
Welcome to my channel, I thought your review was very good :)@Klaus Jedelsky
Can you please let me know what is those two true tank and maybe its could help me considering my options on next purchase. Already ordered this 2019 lite and can't wait to enjoy it.
@@farizanariffin9677 The True tank by Ehpro and designed by me at Naturevape.
to me it's the best MTL there is right now. As a pure MTL vaper, I own about 20 tanks already including the KF Prime. IMO, what's rocking about this atty is it's so easy to build and clean (i can build this is 5 mn tops and that's taking my time), no overly complicated design makes it easy to clean, it's built like a tank (pun intended) so you can toss it around without worrying about breaking anything, it's short and discreet, flavor is the most consistent with both tobaccos and fruity flavors, no leaking, no gurgling, bottom airflow under the tank creates best pressure for nice throat hit without having to deal with inserts, it doesn't leak from the 510 for me but there are little upgrade kits which prevent this for about 10 quids for those who have this problem, so yea, it's kayfun, it's just reliable and always consistent. I have atties which are great but nowhere near as consistent when it comes to all day all week vaping experience. highly recommend it.
Thanks for the honest review, you are one of the most trusted reviewer out there, much love and respect ❤️🌹
Thanks Tarek, I always try to be honest and accurate :)
Great review Mark, very honest and left no stone unturned. Like your list of pros and cons, very good idea. Take care mate 👍
Thanks Mike, I'll try to get the pros in the right order next time lol :)
Hi Mark
Thanks for a great review I’ve been a Kayfun fan from years ago and had many different versions. I have just ordered the 2019 version so looking forward to receiving this and trying. I like the coils you mentioned in this video as I vape at around 1ohm do you have a link to where you buy them or do you make them yourself?
I have heard others complaining about liquid leaking through the 501-pin, I don't understand how this is even possible - I am happy to not experience this issue and understand why the Lite left you a bit unsatisfied; if my Lite would behave the same it'd be a dealbreaker for sure. You might want to try the spare airscrew, maybe that'll fix it.
About the unscrewing issue: I strongly recommend to lube that lower o-ring on the base →and← tighten the upper parts of the tank (top cap, window, chimney) supertight. That way you'll be able to grab onto the whole tank when unscrewing it, giving you a bigger surface area to grab on. When screwing it back on, make it just barely hand-tight right at the stopping point, that will be enough to make it stay leakfree. If you do so, unscrewing and refilling will be hassle free.
Actually the PEI/Ultem-window it comes with is stable against aggressive liquids (unlike the clear PMMA windows and caps SvoëMesto also offers, although I have yet to find a liquid they don't work with).
Yeah, that high pitched swoosh every now and then, I experience the same. Not enough to really bother me, but it's definitely there.
All in all I really enjoy the Lite. Love its formfactor, also experience a remarkable throathit and fantastic taste with it. The price, well... it's a Kayfun, they happen to be pricey. Well worth the money for me.
I really enjoyed your thorough and balanced review, thank you!
Thank you for a good honest review. Very hard to find one these days. Almost all of the reviewers over here in the US have sold out. I can count the ones I trust on one hand and that's the one that's missing three fingers.
Ha ha Bill, I like your humour and I assure you I will always give my true thoughts on products I review. I do enjoy the vape from this RTA but the tank is not as good as I would have hoped for. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts :)
great review. i have had a couple of products from ur store. nice to find you here on youtube.
What base is that you have that coil master tab 521 on?
I had to two Kayfun lite plus's in 2014 I've since sold on for good money, they have great resale. Used to use a micro screwdriver to open the base on those. Its down to how much torque you exert on tightening, am ham fisted so generally do things up too tight. The airflow screw on the lite plus was much worse as metal, was very loose fit and it could leak there a tad and cause base sweating. I used to use red threadlock a teeny tiny amount, sealed it up tight with no base sweating. Imagine would try a tiny amount of PTFE tape on that nylon plug to ensure no leaks whatsoever. Price is pretty much the same as it was back in 2013/2014, a tenner more maybe. Would I expect more from a 2019 kayfun, I like the limited amount of parts. I imagine top fill would impact the way it wicks, just look at previous versions and all those bits in order to acheive top fill and more adjustable air. The deck and wicking is evidently tried and tested from an earlier kayfun I never bought. Kayfuns are for affictinados people who have owned bought and built them. Used to hold the lite plus's upside down and blow thru the mouthpiece if they flooded, juice would trickle out the airflow and away you went. Juices were 50/50 or thinner evidently 80/20 works now and eliminates gurgling and flooding. Am sure the kayfuns with more parts cost more pennies, keep it simple and keep the price down. Looks sexy as f*ck but only those that know the history of vaping will recognise one, understand it's foibles and buy one. The ultem tank section is as tough as glass with plastic cracking juices, the clear section not so from what I've heard. Going back from a Crown 4 to a Kayfun will be difficult, Corono virus and the limited coil availability says it's the best option, build your own coils and mtl was alway cheaper. Two months and the thing will have paid for itself. Aspire Atlantis cursed us MTL vapers who switched to a life of replacment coil slavery.
Thanks for your unbiased review be interesting to see if the sxk version I have coming from Ali express has same issue with the unscrewing of the base.
Hi Fiona, You are more than welcome. I think I have a sample coming from SXK as well so we will see :)
Thank you for the Accurate and Unbiased Review.. My Glaz mini beats it in Price and performance.. Loving it.. ✌✌
Thanks for sharing the review, Mark. IMO, this one is too pricey for the cons involved.
I recently bought an Aspire K3 tank and coupled it with my old eLeaf 30W iStick (which was gathering dust).
That combo is definitely the best MTL setup I have ever used. The tank is compatible with the Aspire BVC coils.
Again, thanks for sharing the video.
Cheers!
Thanks Sceptre, at least people can make an informed decision but the main thing is that even an old iStick with a K3 means you're not smoking :)
Which is better lite or prime
This lite doesn't seem good enough for the price. I want to try a Kayfun so I think I'll get the mini V3, what's your views on that tank?
Another great review matey 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Daniel, I do my best :)
My best tank !! ❤
Got one on the way, hopefully, I enjoy the vape enough to override the negs. Seeing as how I use the Kayfun Lite Plus every day. I am pretty sure I will enjoy it at least the fill method is better than this tiny screw I deal with every day. If the vape matches this old KF Lite Plus I will consider it a good buy.
Fair comment Korgeth, I think even bottom fill is a step up from the tiny screw days and the actual vaping experience is good so I'm sure you will be happy with your purchase.
Good review Mark. I had the same problem with the deck screws I actually sheared the screw in the positive post on my first build so could not use it. Contacted Svoe Mesto support and they sent me replacements out strait away. Since then I have not been well so still have not tried it
Hi Lyn, So sorry to hear you've not been well. Interesting that your screws were also defective and hope this review is of some use to you once you are feeling better.

Great review mark 👍👍👍👍👍👍 thank you
Thanks Coil UK, I'm glad you found it of interest, sorry it was a little long :)
Fair review... kinda.. I have most of the kayfuns in a box, an ye there's always been unscrewing issues. I use the prime everyday.. not perfect but will last forever and not show signs of rusting... which reviewers never mention about the cheap tanks!! I've wasted so much money on cheap tanks... sorry ye grinds on me when people mention it's to expensive... buy quality.. buy once!!!!
I have all the same issues with my authentic as you Mark, whenever I can be arsed putting up with it I only ever use it on an 18350 mech because of juice coming through the 510.
I have had many people suggest the failures of the Kayfun are down to my wicking or lack of O-ring lubrication but like you I think I know what I'm doing with an RTA by now lol.
@@NatureVapeReviews seems kinda weird i had juice coming off the 510 with my kayfun v3 mini but i started using it 2 months ago and no juice at all .. granted ive got much better with wicking over time but i really dont know.. im eager to buy the new plus 2021 but cant have leaking again
Hi Mark hope your good.Good honest review from yourself ,Keep the reviews coming take care chat soon
Hi John, thanks very much and hopefully see you in chat on Tuesday evening :)
What juice ur using in that lite?
I think it was Kona Paka by Manabush :)
I have had quite a few Kayfun RTA's,all of which in my view, are overpriced, don't believe in buying clones. All of them are well made and perform reasonably well.
All of this changed last year when I was introduced to a OBS Engine RTA,which cost £30.It's without doubt, the best performing tank I have ever owned both in flavour and vapour production from a single coil tank.Apart from the low price but not low quality,it has another feature which Kayfun has yet to achieve, the OBS,will absolutely not leak, even if you put it in your pocket upside down.
I have now ceased buying overpriced products (still don't buy clones),There are lots of brilliant products out there at affordable prices you just need to look.
I couldn't agree more Brian :)
What is the best mtl rta in your opinion?
At the moment I think the Gate rta and the True rta are the best but others may disagree :)
I enjoy the spica pro from Sirius Mods I wish mark would review it, it's excellent it has a couple cool features that I haven't seen in a MTL rta
Put a drop of juice on the threads before you close it up each time - I have no problem opening it every time when I do that. Svoemesto recommends lubing your o-rings.
Believe me I tried that. Some people had the same issue as me and some didn't. I can only comment on the RTA I have in front of me.
Does anyone know what MOD he's using ?
Its the Coral mod with a DNA chip, not sure if its available anymore.
Hey, what kinda mod you use ?
I think I used an old mod on this review called the Coral
In couple of days I'm getting (in same package) Lite 2019 and True MTL. It will be very very very interesting. My Galaxies waiting for the fight.
I am confident the Galaxies will be no match for these two but please come back and tell us all what you think :)
OI OI, COME BACK @_@
@@NatureVapeReviews OK... still in the first place is Galaxies. No problem with Kayfun (in in my case ULTON clone). No problem with unscrew the base, no problem with juice in 510 pin, no whistle. (it turns out to be better than the original 😜) True MTL is great - intense, tasteful, but i like little dry vape and Galaxies is the one.
If I had to choose between Kayfun Lite 2019 (original) and True MTL, I certainly would not spent that much money for Kayfun and have same ("worse") vape quality.
Sooooo...1. Galaxies, 2. True MTL, 3. Doggy, 4. Lite 2019
@@tinaralekoki Thanks for taking the time to write such a good account of your experience with these products, I hope you continue to enjoy all four :)
Regarding the two issues you have.
First it seams to be a tolerance problem with the nylon afc screw or the screw hole it selfe. I had both the 24 and the 22 and on one of them the afc screw was very loose and the other one is snug as h..l and no liquid can come through. This issue needs to be fixed by Svoemesto.
The issue with unscrewing the tank. You should not tighten the tank so much, screwing it together. It's not necessary, just makes taking it apart a hassle.
Thanks Karl, an interesting point about the screw and you would think with German engimeering the nylon screws wouls all be uniform in tolerances. I can also assure you that I do not overtighten the mod and the seals have been lubed so I stand by my findings with that point. I have heard others now with the same problem but not everyone it seems. Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your thoughts :)
@@NatureVapeReviews I beg to differ. In the video, it's shows clearly how you do a last twist with some force. Maybe even without thinking of it. Just screw it down with 2 fingers until you feel resistance. That's enough.
What kind of mod is that?
Its quite an old mod now, its the Coral with a DNA chip.
I wonder if they’re ever going to make any more DNA 60 mods that are small like that?
Getting juice thru your 510 is a wicking issue. Think about it, how can juice travel down? My guess would be that your coil can be too short and your cotton is touching the deck as as it's making its turn to the channels. If your coil is over 1mm high and your coil is almost as long as the positive block, there wont be any wick in touch with deck. When your wick is in contact with the deck, it can travel down. You can trim your tails before inserting into channels, especially the underside of them, this will reduce the bulk and keep the wick ends away from deck. Lube orings and she will be fine.
I appreciate you are fighting the Kayfun corner but you can see my build and wicking for yourself on the video. I have also lubricated the O-ring and it will not unscrew without the aid of a screwdriver. Your comments are welcome and I appreciate you taking the time to write in, this channel is all about open opinions and discussions.
Well its certainty possible threading can be different in each particular tank, but mine couldn't be easier to undo, but as for wicking , I can definitely say without a doubt leaking thru the 510 is definitely avoidable. Just like the prime, depending on coil diameter, some wick tails need to be trimmed, especially the underside. It coincides with the lenght of coil, a short coil with a large ID will have fluff , or excessive cotton in contact with the deck area just before the bend (where it turns down to channels) with that excessive wet cotton touching, it can then make it's way down the airhole....it may not be your preferred build, and it's not mine either, but try a 2mm coil that's just as long as the positive block and see what happens. First a 2mm coil has thinner tails, so they wont need trimming, plus a coil as long as the positive block will keep the wick and tails away so no juice can get onto deck. If you have a coil over 2.5 ID and it's a short coil, and it's a bit too close to deck and dont trim away the undersides of tails, it can leak....you now should get a picture of the issue...every rta has its quirks, but they can be figured out. I agree on the collar, it's too long
Thanks, I will give your suggestion a try and see what the outcome is :)@@vapdivrr5656
If that doesn't work there are 2 more reasons, one is a faulty seal , orings or perhaps your tails are not quit long enough....enjoyed watching
nice review thumbs up
Thanks very much :)
Good review footoon for me sod paying out for that lol
Thanks Rob, at least folk can form they own opinions which was my objective for making this review :)
man, this is not the true review of this kayfun, instead, this is the slower version review of the this kayfun
Best is expromizer v4 go check it
The question I keep hearing asked is why they didn't just bring the kayfun into the future? Top fill for one thing. The tank should be Pyrex not ultem. The deck itself should also be updated. Maybe they'll listen to what folks are saying and create a more modern version of it.
I couldn't agree more John, lets hope they do :)
I have a Kayfun Prime and the Lite 2019. The Prime has topfil, glas tank, juice flow control and afc on the outside and it's a lot taller 😊
I'm fine with the deck on both of them and can live with the afc screw in the Lite.
I don't mind bottom fill at all, but I do have the problem with opening the Lite as most have and it drives me nuts! Refilling the tank outside of my home or office, where I have tools, is practically impossible.
Whenever anybody asks if the Lite is for him, my answer is: when you can live with bottom fill, an afc you can't change on the fly, no juiceflow controll and want a short tank, then the Lite is for you. Else have a look on the Prime.
Great summary, I couldn't have said it any better :)@@VolkerHett
Why people waiting the SXK clone to be better than orgional one. Something wrong with Kayfun anyway 😂
A little bit of plumber's PTFE tape on that plastic screw should prevent the bottom leak.
Yes possibly but you shouldn't really have to. Its not terrible but I had to point it out.
Great build quality but flavour is average at best regadless of what build you chuck in there.
Oh, good grief, Mark! Lube up the o-rings and you wont need a tool to unscrew the base. Jeepers, you said you are a Kayfun enthusiast. Kayfunners know you lube up o-rings. Secondly, you really missed the point of this new Kayfun. It's small, very small! We trade in the AFC and the JFC for smaller size...which, in my mind are very inconsequential losses if at all. Many people like small, small, small. We get small, small, small with this Kayfun without sacrificing that great MTL, Kayfun vape quality.
The O-rings have been lubed and I still cannot unscew the base, I can only review what is front of me. I get the point of the new Kayfun Lite completely but its not that small, the True tank is shorter with top fill and airflow control so my opinion stands that Kayfun could have done a better job. In my review I did list the airflow as a positive and also the vaping experience as good but I also welcome your opinion which is the good thing about discussions on UA-cam comments and thank you for disagreeing in a polite way.
Try replacing the o-rings with the spares. If that doesn't work then you got a lemon. I have heard others say removing the base was a bit stubborn for them as well but that they were able to lube it and make it work without resorting to tools. Yours sounds like an extreme case.
As for size, I am speaking strictly inside the Kayfun line. Many people have come to know the premium MTL vape they get from their Kayfuns. The KFL19 gives them the same quality Kayfun vape but in their most compact package. For Kayfun enthusiasts, this is a major selling point of this atomizer.
While we disagree about aspects of this review, it was still done very nicely. You are worth watching. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Joe, I appreciate you taking the time to explain things so clearly :)@@joesixpack8305
Tanks can be small and have good airflow control options. Manufacturers have proved that. Look at the yachtvape pandora. That's the than same size as the kayfun lite, possibly a bit smaller, and has 30 airflow control options.
If you washed it before doing review and it damp with water then it wasn't lubed with the juice on the orings so you might've forgotten to do that after washing the tank just a thought mate
Over rated tank
