I like both, I use a few boro mods and a dotmod for on the go, also replaced my pod systems. At home I use a tank. I agree completely with all your points between the two styles.

Very pleasant to watch and I can't help but agree with you 200%. I have quite a large collection and have now ordered my 4th AIO the cthulhu because it is very compact. The Billet box has been around for many years with the boro tanks. I only vape RDL and since I have only had 1 type of juice for 6 years now, I can compare perfectly. For me the Dope RBA is the absolute top and in terms of taste experience goes along with the Dvarw RTA of which I also have many and adore. The boro story will soften within a year or so but not really disappear, I expect a return to the classic RTAs. The reason RBAs are such a success is the taste experience resulting from the compact chamber. As you point out, cheap versions are even very good. Thank you for this story, it was a pleasure to watch.

Great summary. Got a pioneer rta and it’s great, later got the Cthulhu aio with a molen bridge. Much sleeker form factor for out and about, but rewicking is a lot messier as you say. If you have to rewick often it might be a dealbreaker.

Thx, Interesting topic for experienced vapers.
Drawback to me with pyros at the moment, and currently the only help are my MTL-Rta's.
I like these so much and don't see any need to switch to aios, presumably getting the same results...for me even with the RTA's there are possiblities for a stealthy setup, for instance black color and small tube mods.

Great video, good topics Nathan. For me, self-build coil with RTA which is my preference is MTL RTA, is another level of 'format' in vaping. Adding on another, nowdays, all industries are excellent of producing RTAs and box mod. And it is timeless of 'boring' and 'useful' compared to occ, disposable even that's if the chip is dead.

Hi, your reviews are great an informative with every detail covered.
I got into vaping due to having a bit of my lung removed fortunately wasn’t cancer. For first 2 years a naughtilus man 100% the sxk bb was my first mod an rebuildable bridge the vapeshell which I vaped every day all day for 3 years. I changed job no longer working from home so due to time I changed to tanks as I just couldn’t pop in an re wick in that emergency. The other summer I went back to bb which I think is indestructible been dropped left on the bumper for 40 miles in rain submerged in water etc an still works.
My experience is my 2 or 3 spare tanks were tasting funny in a hot truck same juice batch in bb was fine. Along came the molen which I find so much easier to wick on a regular basis even quicker to re coil as well. Having acquired a 2nd sxk bb from a mates bin who couldn’t get on with it I will get another molen an got a back up that only needs a battery an a borro fill an away. Having looked at your aio review I’m sorely tempted to get another when I’ve recovered from my opp would love a authentic bb but my budget don’t match. I’ve now got a month to catch up on nv an your utube channel.

I've found this video so interesting sir. I'm a vaper for 4 years by now, my travel has been starting with a smok aio with comercial premade coils, to single dl rda's, then been catched on the hobby side as you perfectly said and begun to try all the stuff that I can put my hands on, single and double coil rda's, rta's, rdta's, a bunch of different flavours. But like 1'5 year ago I started with mtl vaping, first af all through a minifit pod (searching an easy an stealthy way to vape on a daily basis while working, etc ) then I get caught on this way of vaping, so I'd get a Hastur mini and this was the game changer for me. A few months ago decided to use it like my "pod" every day vaping device on a little 18650 cheap mod or even in a 18350 tiny Luxem mosfet tube wich it's less than the palm of my hand. Now enjoying a Berserker V3 on a Thelema Solo, and waiting for a Kayfun Lite Pro and a Dwarv 22mm to arrive home to dive deeper into that wonderfull world. Want to go into organic liquids as well wich it's for me the next natural step. I really enjoy and aprecciate your channel. Ty very much for the fun and the tips you give.

I like my sub tanks, but bought sxk billet box a couple of years ago now and the pulse aio, I'm a dtl myself but love the bridges you can get and make coils for and I still get a great dtl vape, I usually get sxk clone bridges as authentic are really expensive, just got MOBB mini yesterday, fantastic flavour , I know you love your tobacco vapes, have you tried manabush , I got cuben cigar and bourbon whisky, lovely, great video, cheers, Andy.

Have a load of MTL RTA’s. Got into AIOs about a year ago. As soon as BP mods released the Pioneer Insider I never went back to normal tank and mod, prefer the compactness of AIOs. Then the Pulse AIO came out which takes a 21700 so i haven’t used any other device or bridge this year. Have found my perfect MTL vape at long last! 1.2 air pin, 0.7 alien Clapton at 16 or 17w 👌🏼

hello Nathan, very good video as always, and 100% expert explanation, and I can relate to it I also started vaping in 2019 and have followed about the same path as you until a few months ago I was a DL vaper and am now switched to MTL, firstly because I have more control over it than my consumption of E-liquid at DL (I was always lurking at my tank) now with Mtl this no longer happens, secondly also a bit for the hobby (making your own coils and wrapping with cotton) although with my Dl tanks I also wrapped the coils myself with the wotofo construction kidd.
but I think the MTL tanks will remain my thing (very pleased with my aspire the 9th and my vadyvape mini v2mtl, and I don't believe I will be switching to briges AOI or boro tanks anytime soon and also because I think it's too pricey.

You have fine SBS mods (side by side mods) they are a goode choice for people who don't prefer boro tanks and want some Compactability at the same time.
But i still feel AIO kits more attractive, they are more compact and stable inside the pocket, and their structure give them more mechanical immunity.

Greetings to Nathan and all of your fans. If I was new to vaping I might be drawn to boro aio's just because they are all the current fashion. But I've already got a small collection of RTA's which work perfectly for me. My preference is the RDTA configuration, such as the Ripley. These give RDA flavor and are dead simple to recoil or rewick. I am also a fan of the small refillable pods, such as the Caliburns. These are great for carrying about and stealth vaping. Until someone introduces a boro aio which is demonstrably superior to an RDTA, I will stick with what I already enjoy.

I switch back and forth between them, I love my Boro mods for their compact size, large juice capacity and good to take out and about, but are extremely difficult to rewick on the fly if you over do it on the wattage or chain vape a little too much, and while the mod and rta is much larger, heavier, bulkier etc and carries around the same juice capacity sometimes or less more often than not, it is so nice to know I can just pop the top off when it's full of juice and give it a quick burn and put in a new wick anywhere anytime as long as I have my Swiss army knife scissors and some cotton which I always do.
I just wish there was a Boro tank that had a removable deck without emptying the tank, but also didn't have those awful silicon plugs for refilling (I hate those with a passion) it'd be perfect for me to have a normal Boro tank with the glass, but slightly smaller glass and a removable base with very tight o rings top and bottom, that way I could remove the deck at a moment's notice to rewick, and could still have the glass to slide down a little for refills. I doubt anyone will make such a thing though, only thing remotely close is the boxxer V2 and I've been trying to get my hands on one of them for literally years and never seen one for sale lol
I also personally love a small 18650 mechanical mod and a single or dual coil rda on top, something satisfying about being able to just throw enough juice for one sitting down the drip tip and vape it dry, no chance of any leaks and I often vape less that way because I discipline myself to only juice the RDA once most of the time, this doesn't work so great for mtl though since my fev bf RDA I use for mtl holds way too much juice for one sitting at 18mg so that often gets left a little wet inside because I'm used to counting drips for dtl and always end up overdoing it for mtl rdas.

When at home I use mtl rta’s (I still think they have a slight edge on the flavour, mainly use clones of Kay fun light and dwarv).
Always use aio boro when not at home, just think there so much more ‘travel friendly’ I have most of them, but my favourite is still the sxk bb clone, with the clone dope bridge.
I only vape mtl, dl and rdl just feel unnatural to me , to dissimilar to smoking .
As for the rewicking, I don’t think there’s too much difference between the 2 platforms (they’re both faffy, but worth the effort compared to stock coils), keep up the good work. 🤟

Sorry for the late comment about this video. I'm a pure restrict dl for a long time, since 2014 to be precise, along the way i tested 4 or 5 mtl rta's, recently with the Dvarw and the Edge mtl rta's but honestly it is not my way to go. Mostly because of the flavour, i know this subject is controversial but after so many tests in mtl nothing compares to restrict dl in the flavour department, i could explain in detail why RDL have by far better flavour than MTL but i will not go from that road. the principal thing is there are options for any stlyle of vape and that's fantastic. I follow you not because of the mtl principal subject but because i really like the way you talk, the way you explain the gear you test. I think you are one of the most mature vapers in the review arena. That's why i follow every video you post. Thank you for sharing with us.

I was a MTL from quitting smoking 10 years ago. Then I moved to DTL because the flavor and the chest hit was more to my liking. The flavor was way more incredible than MTL. My favorite and best tasting RDA/RTA is the Wotofo Profile. The Profile RDA with the Dovpo squonker was my go-to for a while because of a 10ml juice reservoir. Then I tried the RTA and found it had the exact flavor. The Vandy Vape Kylin M is a more compact yet higher capacity RTA but because of the airflow the flavor wasn’t as good as the Profile.
Now, because of business, I am going to an MTL RTA. Kayfun is the best, of course. I was also suggested the Beserker. But, due to not having a glass tank, I went with the Wotofo Cog. I guess I am a Wotofo fan anyway!

I think we now have an exceptional result on tobaccos, in Italy especially from my point of view thanks to La Tabaccheria and Azhad elixir. There are extracts, but above all hydrolates extracts so good that honestly they are starting to use the nautilus coils again, I use them in the billetbox and I am happy all day without the stress of having to regenerate.

@@netvaper I did not want to put Italian liquids in the foreground but I am Italian and I vape these, I think that other producers make this type of liquids but I have no knowledge about them, I am mainly referring to the production process of these liquids, for example a latakia like that of La Tabaccheria from the white line for pods is completely transparent, and keeps almost all the characteristics of an extract, it is something extremely useful, because if put on a minifit s that costs 15 euros it allows you with a pod to vape at least 30ml of latakia before to throw away the pod, which with an extract you have to regenerate the resistance after about 6ml! I think it's a fantastic result!!

Very interesting topic! I'm a newish vaper-ex smoker and didn't take long for my journey starting off with pods to MTL RTA's. It started off keeping me off cigarettes, but you are right, it's now evolving into a hobby. I've noticed too the surge in new releases on the AIOs, boros, etc. I admit, it got me curious and thinking this could be my next purchase. But I dropped the idea immediately, because it's like dividing the long atty wishlist (plus adding on expenses) if I have to purchase new boros on top of new RTAs. I'd rather stick to the traditional for now. Loving my Bishop RTA and would be exciting to see your review on the Bishop bridge. Thanks for discussing this, I enjoy your channel tremendously!

Interesting topic. I would tell my experience . After I have seen on the channel the AIO's I have started to search and learn about them. Immediately I have excluded the RBA's option , seeing that is bit difficult to regenerate and being impossible (for some) to be regenerated with liquid inside. For me personally, which I
am looking these days for ease of use and practicality, this was enough to reject the RBA's. But I have suddenly remembered about famous Nautilus stock coils , which are still deposit in my shelve. I looked around and i find the Aspire Nautilus X AIO (stock coil+RBA permissive). I was very tempted but, on Aspire website, I have also seen Aspire Zero G AIO (also stock coil+RBA permissive, but with AVP Pro stock coil). I have had some problems to decide around this 2 AIO's , but Zero G is so good looking, so I have decided this should be my AIO. I made quite a major compromise with this decision: less flavour - easiet way vs full flavor-regenerating RTA's every single day. Going back to stock coil vaping NET's you might believe that is not the smartest decision, but we will see. Now I'm vaping the AIO with stock coil during the day (actually the workday) and keep my pleasure to enjoy a bold and full flavour NET at home mornings and evenings on on good fellows RTA's. To diminish the coil encrustations , I have add to the recipe 10% double distilled water and decrease the aroma concentration (to 5-6%). Also , I have started to use the 4Pod line by La Tabaccheria which are the same good NET's but with selective purification, made for POD's as their name suggested.

@@marcbach8661 I would tell the experience using stock coils and 4Pod line from La Tabbacheria. Using 4Pod NET's to 10% concentration (as reccomended by La tabaccheria) I obtain a ready liquid faithfull with the tobacco aroma (not as bold as the Extracts line, but still containing "full spectrum" of tobacco nuances). In terms of flavour, best is to replace the coil (I'm talking about AVP Pro coils which equipped my Zero G, other coils might perform better/worse) after 5 days. 7 days is the maximum allowed for me. If you are not an "aroma chaser" you might allow 10 days before echange the coil. This is generally speaking. But you also shoud be aware that the "sweet" tobaccos like Virginia, Black cavendish would caramelize the coil sooner and the taste&flavour will change quiker that a "dry" Oriental or Burley

Greetings from Denmark. Found your channel when searching bpmods pioneer rba, where you mentioned this upcoming comparison. I value, and tend to agree, with your reviews. RDL is not my style, it has to be either MTL or more open DL. I will keep both DotAIO/pioneer rba and my favorit mtl rta's in rotation. My kaifuns, reload mtl rta and siren v4 (what a driptip aii , but I actualy ended up liking it) being the preferred ones. Those are my stealth vapes. DL and dripping, I do not take outside of home ... too much vape, too big. Have tried some of the many pod-systems, but they dont at all compare in flavour with mtl rta. The dotaio does the trick. Curious about the EVL rba for dotaio, it is supposed to have a more dense cloud and a less restricted DL. Not good for mtl though. The dotshell, in comparrison with pioneer, has the same flavour, is pricier and has easy adjustable airflow and many fans ... I choose pioneer because of good flavour on par with dotshell and also it comes with all the airflow pins 0.8-3.0. I do not see the need for a dotshell, if you are more of a set it and forget it about your airflow. I rewick every day for the best flavor. It is a cozy morning ritual. With the dotaio I rewick pr. tank. You can have 20% left in the tank, and still rewick. Just put it on the side.

@@netvaper I think the simple pod systems are here to stay and be improved too. It's the ultimate stealth vape in need of such, and suits the segment of party smokers/vapers who only vape at party and on vacations. The mtl rta was bound to get a more modern, sleek, elegant look in shape of the versatile aios, which can be tweeked with a various range of rbas and loads of accessories to personal taste and statement. I agree high end doesn't mean better atleast not now. , AS much as I love my kayfun lite I've found that the Bishop for me is a even better tank. Its much lighter than the KAYFUN (I notice the extra pocket weight of the kayfun) , it's smaller hight and width although it holds the same amount of JUICE. It's also much faster to get to the wick (I change my wick everyday and it does make a difference when doing it everyday) .
I also found its a a smoother vaping tank than the kayfun and its much faster and easier to wick in my experience where the kayfun is picky on wicking I've found. Even when wicked correctly I also get a little bit of gurgle but never with the Bishop.
BIshops also silent compared to the kayfun. Flavour wise are basically the same level but because it's so easy to change the wick on the Bishop I get bet flavour. With the kayfun I simply couldn't be botherd to wick it everyday as it takes more time and effort to get it perfect.
The kayfun lite is also a nightmare to refill when your doing it 6 or so times a day, most of the time I ended up taking the tank off to refill.
Only thing kayfun is better at is overall build quality and its a great looking tank. Mind so is the Bishop just the kayfun look is more nastalgic.
Love them both but reason I thought I'd post this is to basically agree with you and my kayfun is in its box in the cupboard.
I think because tanks are getting so good and cheap it's not all about flavour anymore its also about how easy a tank is to live with and for me the Bishop does everything well and better in some aspects than many high end tanks.
The fact you can get two bishops for the price of one kayfun lite is insane. If I had the bishoo before the kayfun I definitely would not be buying the kayfun. But I probably won't sell it as it is a kayfun but your so right.

    • @netvaper

@PRO MIX. Thanks for Interesting reading with some valid points. Btw in regards to gurgling on the Kayfun lite sometimes the deck is not fully tightened on the base and that can cause liquid to seep down in the base. Make sure to clean the base cavity and secure the deck on the base tightly that should solve the gurgling issue
