A DUAL GOLDEN FAKEOUT? YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING
It's kinda funny to look back at the L. Corp situation because, yeah, from OUR perspective we know that it was a fucking hellhole full of suffering for literally everyone involved; from the CITY's perspective on the other hand, L. Corp was pretty much a saint of a company. Not only did they dethrone the old L. Corp, which had steep prices for highly polluting energy, they then introduced a new form of clean, renewable and cheap energy (Enkephalin) into the city, made contracts with other Corps that even said Corps admit were incredibly generous, and hired people from everywhere, not based on qualifications, but on whether or not they had a trauma (probably saving a lot of people that couldn't find a job anywhere else because of said trauma). Lobotomy Corporation may not have been as "clean" as something like K. Corp, but they were, at least from an outsider's point of view, a shining light in the City.

Heathcliff is often angry very easily but he has shown he cared about the group he's in quite early on and it only gets so much more so with each canto
Never be sorry about "yapping". If you're enthusiastic about discussing something, then speak your mind. It's annoying how popular that word has become, feels like a total insult on a personal level to people who just like to speculate, theorycraft, or just want to talk about their own work(s).

holy blessed 10 pull!!! the "jumpscare" gold pulls are absolutely rare, I've only gotten them once or twice myself and in separate 10 pulls lol. Lucky on getting Gregor, he hasn't been showing up for me 😆😆
(the funniest time to get a jumpscare gold pull is when you're using a guaranteed 000 extraction ticket, but all the options are grey or red lmao. I know you're in there somewhere, you won't scare me this time 😆)
I love how tickled you were about the whole "Mint?" thing. Yi Sang is so endearingly odd (and has become quite sweet too) and I'm glad to see he seems to be growing on you a little more since his canto XD
I love how both Yi Sang and Heath were so concerned about Dante after the harpoon situation, but it is rather sad that Dante seems to see it as them concerned with whether they could keep doing their healing/job rather than that they were worried about them and their well being. I can't really blame Dante for thinking that considering how most of the team treated them at the beginning, but that's clearly not how Heathcliff and Yi Sang feel now, so it's sad Dante doesn't seem to notice/believe that to be the case.
And I echo the other sentiments here, please don't worry about 'yapping' too much. I love how invested you get with the story and its characters. I like hearing what you think about the characters and why you think that way about them, and at times it can even give me more things to consider about them that I hadn't thought about before. I may love all the characters a great deal presently, but I can certainly understand why you feel the way that you do about Ishmael, my liking for her certainly tanked for a good chunk of this canto because of her attitude. Whether the end of the canto will change your mind or not, who can say, but I'll be curious to know what you end up thinking about it and her regardless!
Edgor is really good, don't worry. He's an absolute glass cannon (especially in story mode where he'll regularly trigger his passive), and gets much better in a sinking team.
Barista Faust is peak Seven association. Big numbers boosted by rupture, weakness exploitation, and for some reason even gains poise. She's count negative on her own though, so Dimension Shredder and double-oh Seven Heath help her out a lot.
Not you saying 7Faust peak 7 Assoc when 7Heath made the entire status work in the first place.

what matters more then being good or bad, is that the game is being entertaining for you, because when you are having fun, well, we are having fun, because you have some of the funniest reactions to stuff
I think its interesting how Dante reacted to the pain of being stabbed by the harpoon. No screaming or shouting, he was (mostly) calm and able to have a full proper conversation with Ishmael and the others.
Either he's becoming desensitsed to pain... or the pain of being stabbed with a harpoon is *nothing* compared to the pain of Rewinding the Clock
it seems like Vergilius truly could easily make him not register the pain in the first canto
Of course the pain of being stabbed with a harpoon is nothing compared to the pain of Rewinding the Clock. If they get used to rewind the clock to the point they can continuously rewinding it in a battle, then they are pretty much dull with the pain at this point.
The Sinners all got melted by Kromer's acid at the end of Canto III, rewinding that has got to be a while different level than a harpoon
This has become my favourite playthrough of Limbus, its great to see your reactions to these scenes. You always come across as very genuine and thoughtful.
Hey, you keep on yappin' Foreman. I love hearing you yap on and on about these characters. It's nice seeing a more crtical analysis of these characters, not many people are willing to do so, or insist every character is perfect. While I'll certainly agree that things got a bit *too* negative last episode, it's nice to see ya recognize that and think more along the lines of where the character is coming from, and more importantly, -why- they're acting the way they are, rather than expressing your irritation at thos behaviors. It's much more constructive and fun to watch, and as we saw from this episode, you clearly enjoyed looking at the characters and critiquing their actions through a more positive/constructive lens than negative.
Also, if you wanna get a new Yi Sang ID, I'm gonna HEAVILY recommend spicebush. If generates self-tremor and spends it to change its skill 2 into an AOE. If he has 10+ tremor, his skill 3 does +40% more damage. However, his REAL power comes from a little thing called *Sinking Deluge*, something on his skill 3.
All his skills inflict Sinking and Sinking count, too, so a very worthwhile investment for a sinking team.
Yi Sang has a habit of enjoying really... weird foods. It seems that the Seven Version just REALLY likes Mint Coffee.
Edgar Family Heir Gregor:
Very good Sinking Identity. While he works as a Sinking Identity on his own, that's not what he's meant for: Edgar Family Heir Gregor thrives on having his enemies be struck with a ton of Sinking, and then capitalizing on it HARD. At higher Upties, he gains Coin and Clash Power based on Sinking that the target has, which can at times become completely ridiculous. His S1 can turn into a 15 clashing skill, which outstrips even some 000 Identities' best skills. As for Nightmare Hunt, at Uptie 4 and with conditional maxed out, he rolls a 28. For a 4 Coin Skill, that's incredibly rare, and as such the damage output can become completely ridiculous.
Seven Association South Section 4 Faust:
A very good Rupture Identity. Unlike other Identities, she actually inflicts a pretty decent amount of Rupture Count, meaning she can somewhat reliably stay neutral in terms of Rupture consumption. Her Coin Power Conditionals are also very good, as with a decent Rupture Team you can push up the values of her S1 and S2 to above-average levels in terms of damage output. Finally, her Passive is... fine? It's extra Crit Damage, but since it has no Poise Count it's functionally useless unless you have 15+ Rupture on one enemy, which isn't actually implausible if you run a good Rupture Team.
Dimension Shredder Hong Lu:
A rather high-rolling EGO, which coincidentally fuels Rupture as well with the status condition Dimensional Rift, that causes the enemy to gain Rupture Count by its value. That's not what makes this EGO good, no, what makes it good is that it inflicts Fragile on demand. And at Uptie 4, it has 3 attack weight, meaning you could feasibly give three enemies 1 count of Fragile- Which is amazing. Fragile, no matter what, is always an extremely valuable tool by virtue of just dealing more damage.
Adding a funny additional to the last point - Hong Lu's dimshredder passive paired with K Corp Hong Lu just makes him even more immortal.

During 4.5 when you were talking about how Dante needs to be more assertive I was thinking "man, I can't wait for him to get to the part where they take a harpoon to the shoulder." Lots of good character moments in this one

Ishmael is *objectively* insufferable for the entire canto. But you're approaching it in the perfect manner, in my opinion.
It indeed started as "God I just realised how insufferable she is now that she has all this screentime", because it's the first reaction every time. Ishmael would indeed be insufferable, but doesn't talk a lot until this point, so it's more manageable.
Now it turned into "Okay, she is insufferable, but **why**?", and it's the right way to go about things. It's a good evolution of the thought.
Eh, I disagree. Ishmael is way more bearable from this point onward after Rodya gives her this little talk. Part 1 is when she's at her most insufferable.
Also, like, Ishmael is way nicer in other Cantos prior to this one? She was like, the only Sinner aside from Gregor and Sinclair who tried to give Dante a chance as manager. It's just that circumstances have turned her flaws all the way up to 11.
She took a decay bullet for Dante. I don't think saying she have always been this insufferable is fair at all. Not even the bootlicker ever do something like that beside gassing her loyalty up
Not really tho? Her attitude before this canto wasn't anything bad nor conflicted for the whole run. She has never talk back or do anything out of line nor devalue any body's life? The only thing that's annoys me was that she keeps mentioning she lives on the boat multiple times, but that's it. Foreman said she's insufferable before this canto was really weird and out of nowhere to me. Like, where did he get that impression from???
@@huyle-ob8rg I don't think Foreman came really out of nowhere. It's not something I usualy notice, but Ishmael has a tendancy of being very condenscending when she criticizes others, even in previous Cantos. She has the same nerdy habits of correcting other people like Faust, but when Faust does it, it's out of pride. She wants to be recognized. While when Ishmael does it, it's because she treats other like idiots (it's a bit subtle, but you can see it a lot early on in canto III during the checkpoint scences (for exemple when she reminds the group constantly of what to do while passing the checkpoint, pissing off Ryoshu). And while it's played as comedy(Ishmael was playing the role of the straight man in the middle of the full circus that inevitably messes up, proving her right), I get why it gets on the nerves of some people like Foreman.

It ultimately depends on how you view the sinner team as a whole as to how much Ishmael came across as in previous Cantos, as Ishmael's attitude previously is really based on one thing; the sinner team starts off as REALLY incompetent, regardless of what the results end up showing as through the starting Cantos. So Ishmael, the perpetually frustrated one, can either come across as really arrogant if you put that idea in the back of your mind, or way more understandable if you view the sinner team through that lens.
What threw me off about Foreman's critique was when he was like "We've handled everything before, what makes you think we can't handle the Great Lake" in response to Ishmael's stuff during the previous Intervallo, until I considered it from the angle that the results might be speaking louder in this case.
It's awesome seeing how much more comfortable you are with the game now! Seeing you play around with support passives is great, and weirdly enough it was one of the most fun parts of the video for me, just enjoying watching you discover different support passives and seeing what works best
Yeah, 7 association power levels are based on how much coffee you drink, you should see how much faust steals from behind the desk
I wonder if Hook being "absent" somewhere, three sails in the wind as Smee put it, is a reference to Hook's fear of Tick-Tock Croc and Dante having a Clock for a head.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the Canto more and more, and to see you doing well with the Burn team. The EGO Gifts for Burn are definitely nutty; well, Glimpse of Flames is nutty, most others are either a flavor of either "Burn = Burn on everyone" or "Burn = Dmg up," the Fusion EGO Gift for it tho is pretty nice~
Outis' Binds, pretty sweet for adding more spice to Tremor teams, and will be pretty good when you decide to go for Tremor one day. And I also think that it could (although, in a very limited way) be a way to get EGO resources of kinds that aren't naturally generated by the fighting team, so it's interesting. As for Dimension Shredder Hong Lu, yeah, that combined with K Corp Hong Lu makes for a very funny tank that does lots of Rupture. Lantern Don is a healing Rupture tank that you already have filling that niche, however. Would be interesting to see you fiddle around with him in MD or possibly even RR one day.

You got three good characters in one episode!
Heir Gregor can fuel himself if he has to, and he has some pretty solid rolls, especially as sinking racks up. He's a bit kf a glass cannon, aiming to provide danage to the sinking team outside of the damage given by the effect.
Dimension Shredder is a great E.G.O. It obviously has the Nemo effect on the passive, but the fragile and rupture count are both great applications. It's usable for his W. Corp ID, but his K. Corp ID has rupture in its kit and the extra revive is part of why that character is so hard to kill.
7 Faust looks alright at best at uptie 1, but when she hits uptie 4, she's going to apply a ton of rupture and more importantly, a ton of rupture count. Her rolls are also high across the board and she deals solid damage.
Only Project Moon will create the most beautiful *White Haired* Woman then look at the cast of 12 whole Sinners and go;

Sick pulls and good video! Actually never seen a double gold bait pull ever and I've been pulling for a while and seen some other people pull too.
Part of me thinks that Ishmael doesn't know about the fact that Dante FEELS every death and injury that is inflicted upon the sinners when the clock turns, or that Dante has the power to look into the sinner's past.
I get the feeling that strange modified sailor outfit that girl wore could be the official U-Corp uniform. The character tag for that character simply reads U-Corp, so she's involved with the corporation for sure.
And as for the part where a sullen ishmael says "I don't know how far in the future you're talking about, but I'm sure we have different things in store for us there, Dante", I think what she means is that by that point in the future, the two of them may have ended up with very different outcomes, or that the future Dante is thinking of is not how he thinks it will be.
Which I think matched the prediction you were making about how Ishmael doesn't really see the group living to deal with the consequences of their actions on the long term. Or maybe it's less the team and more herself. So yeah, it's a "I don't care about what you think your future will be, but I am pretty sure I know what mine will be, and it's nothing like what you're imagining."

I'm glad you're having a better time now that you're looking at Ishmael with a more open mind, and don't worry, i for one welcome all your rants and analysis of the characters, these characters are so good they deserve every second of analysis they're given. And i'm already looking forward to your psycho analysis of Ishmael during the next Tier List episode Manager Esquire.
As for your Pull results: Edgar Greg is actually quite good on a Sinking Team, especially since he has a 15 rolling Skill1 with both Conditionals active at Uptie4 (Which Rodya's Rime Shank E.G.O fulfills on its own), and the ability to potentially get Plus Coin Boost for free with his Skill3, though his damage can be slightly mediocre without his Passive's damage bonus due to him having so few Coins outside of his Skill3.
Dimension Shredder Hong Lu is very good for maintaining Rupture Count via the Dimensional Rift he inflicts on hit, and makes one specific ID (K Corp. Hong Lu) basically un-killable in most content. But at base level Effervescent Corrosion is better for general use since it rolls higher and has Attack Weight at base instead of just at Threadspin4, but if you can get Dimension Shredder to Threadspin3 then it can inflict 4 Rupture Count which makes it better in any Rupture Team, and at Threadspin4 he can inflict that on 3 enemies at once, and since it gains 1 more base Attack Weight than Effervescent Corrosion without its Conditionals DimShredder becomes generally better unless you really need another E.G.O that rolls a 32 or care about the 2 Gluttony Fragility.

I'm pretty sure your right about lob corp hiring from the backstreets because I distinctly remember it being mentioned that Lob corp's hiring practice was strange apparently because it was based solely on merit of the 4 virtues, though it's also been a while since I've played it

Wow, earlier than usual. With Dimensional Shredder, you really need to get K Corp Hong Lu. He is great for rupture, has dimension shredder, a tank and a perfect candidate for Talisman Sinclair's support passive. I am aware that you will have to get rid of one 7 association member (my pick is Yi Sang as he doesn't apply that much rupture and rolls poorly) but do give it some thought if you can.
Seven Faust is good because her clashing is extremely powerful if you can maintain rupture count
Time to put this on as I grind Luxivations, gotta level my haste team. The new ryoshu ID is literally perfect for what i need for the team.
Just from what you have seen so far. The middle is probably the worst finger to get on the bad side of. They don't forgive, they don't forget, and they always get vengeance. I pray for any fool stupid or suicidal enough to get on their bad side.

@@ITAndroMedianto be fair, gebura did mention that he must've caused one hell of a scene to be demoted all the way to the bottom(it's closer to "either you're a fraud or you did so much shit to get demoted to the bottom). I'd take the fact Roland got demoted that low as more a testament to how much he did during his rampage.

Edgar Gregor is actually looks SICK. You have sharp eyes, eh.
So Heir Greg is quite good. His passive makes him a glass canon and is easily activated in sinking teams also his rolls are quite reliable. A little tip is that for some reason if you’re on max sanity when you start a fight (basically mirror dungeon) you can activate his passive at max power meaning 5 damage up turn one. Combined with bloody gadget and illusory hunt and you get essentially double damage turn one on him. It’s quite good
also you’ve discovered that Yi Sang support passives kinda suck. The good ones are resonance meaning they’re only reliable on specific teams and the rest are kinda bad. Base is fine if you’ve got the gloom but not really on a team with nclair since whistles does more than enough imo
Out of curiosity next episode can you touch up on some theories you may have at large. Your choice of course but I think this is a good point into the story completion wise to start saying some thoughts or predictions on some current mysteries. Such as who is Dante, how does Faust know so much, what is the door, etc.
I hope someone already mentioned this before but if not I want to: EGO Passives are actually permanent throughout the entire Encounter/Battle.
They activate on the next turn you use it, which makes popping a EGO worthwhile even if it won't clash. Most of the Sinners' Base EGO Passives are really useful like Ishmael and SInclair's. Sinclair's lowers his SP by 5 if he alternates his coin flips on the same Skill while Ishmael's adds/lowers +2 Clash Power if the Clash is Favored or not.
Even Sinclair's 9:2 Passive is good for NClair cause if he rolls Heads on a Lust Skill, he loses SP. Paired that with his Base EGO Passive, he can actually force himself to lower his SP whenever he rolls Heads.
Also, you can speed up the EGO Animation by holding down on your left mouse button when it plays.

The Binds EGO is really cheap for a WAW EGO [10 SP], but it compensates by taking away a total of 30 SP afterwards. At least it lets you to roll a Heads Coin when using it.
The 7 Association members really do love having most of their Rupture Counts effects attached on winning a clash. 7 Faust is really good on maintaining the Rupture Counts on enemies, along with 7 Heathcliff, while the others capitalize on those by applying Rupture Potencies.
Heir Gregor is a really good Sinking unit, one that can also maintain the Sinking Counts [Clash Win condtion of his 2nd Skill applies +2 Sinking Count before attacking] and use them via his 3rd Skill for a Plus Coin and Damage Up buff next turn.
Moon Channel has a great video on a gatcha waifu controversy ignited by Limbus' S.E.A. 000; I mention this not so much for meta relevance, but because it offers great insight into the problematic aspects of the korean consumerbase, and the inspirations that might've shaped the City of the LobCorp setting. It's vary fascinating.
Dimension Shredder Hong Lu is great for a Rupture Team due to rupture count infliction (dimensional rift). Seven Faust is really good for rupture but needs uptying to make her S2 Rupture neutral and S3 almost neutral. The ID still needed for having an insane Rupture Team for RR3 is Talisman Sinclair. I would like to say "good luck extracting him", but you used up all of it with this insane double fakeout pull.

I've ran Talisman Sinclair on the bench with my current rupture team off-camera in Mirror Dungeons and its been pretty effective, I'm looking forward to getting 7 Faust in there too!
@@ForemanPlaysStuff It makes sense to leave him on the bench for Mirror Dungeon, he's not that great for farming. For Refraction Railway he's great, though. I cleared a lot of the stations in two or three turns with him on the field in a proper rupture team. (For example, 7 Faust, 7 Heathcliff, Talisman Sinclair, Lobcorp Don, 7 Outis or Rose Gregor, LCCB Ishmael)
Dimension Shredder Hong Lu is good in general, but is LITERALLY INSANE on his K Corp. ID

If you perchance never noticed. The name of the Abno the ego is from is faintly visible right behind the EGO name in Hongers case its Dimension shredder and very lightly behind it stands "Wayw............" ah you know when you see. The Ego seem to correlate with those we can find in the Mirror Dungeon. A Theory of her Harpoon is that its her ego consistently manifested and thats why she has that status on her aswell. And one last thing. Edgor benefits a lot from having the bygone days ego on him.
There's a fan made sprite of Faust Smee ID, it's quite good. I love my pregor, but would have been cool to get it as Faust ID.

Planning a sinking team for Canto 6 cannot be recommended enough. Really good shit, if you just decided that randomly, that's some good luck mate.
Gonna need some more units to dispense, though - luckily, most of them are really cool.
Molar Ishmael, Spicy Yi Sang, Dieci Rodya - all are sinking units and all are also very good generalist units you can slot into non-specialized teams and they will do their respective jobs (Yi Sang has AOE on a normal skill, Ishmael has a disgusting evade, AND Dieci Rodya is *the* best tank in the game, don't let anyone fool you and say that's K Corp Hong Lu.)
Rodya's Rime Shank EGO, while I know it's a lot to ask for an EGO to be dispensed, is insane for sinking. Most people consider it top 3 EGOs in the game, mostly cause it trivializes sinking application.
Another big recommend is Dieci Hong Lu, weird to play, has a specific setup and way of playing around his discard stuff - we'll get there if and when we get there. Very worth cause he was constantly the #1 damage dealer through Canto 6 to me, really fun too.
Castlevania Gregor is a very good sinking applier and Dimension Shredder is insane for tanking, but without even taking anything into account - it rolls very high even for an EGO (22+6 when upgraded, 22 base is pretty crazy). It not being actually indisciminate on corrosion is quite nice too. Very good all around! Edit: Mint?

I should add (and I'll say this just before I begin talking about in a video as well) that I'm absolutely not trained or learned in psychology, so it should be taken with heaps of salt. But I think it could be pretty fun.

For example, I really didnt like Heath until canto 2, where I saw a bit of his true self, and not the brute I thought he was.
Speculating in the story and characters, and sharing that with others, is a particular kind of joy I am fond of.

I know how you like having everything ordered to function for a specific type of team and you will still probably say no but i am telling you right now that Outis Binds doesn't need tremor support to function as it is cheap and can be done repetitively without corroding as well as generating the tremor for the conversion AND burst it. More importantly it accumulates sanity lost over rounds effectively going into debt instead of paying up front and before Outis suffers under too much sanity drain the fight is over or it can be countered with sanity gain ego. We all know going into debt is broken as hell, after all, the US of A still exist. Absolutely worth the uptie to 3 or 4 whenever you run partial Blade lineage and have the resources to fuel it.

I'm a pretty big Ishmael fan, but it's perfectly fine to express your dislike for her imo. It doesn't bother me at least, and if anything I enjoy seeing people invested enough in the game to discuss characters with intensity and honesty, even if it means being harsh to my favorite character. Thank you for another fun video!

Good point, I skipped Captain Ishmael's uptie cutscene and plan to do it after Canto 5, maybe I should do the same for the Wuthering Heights IDs

Ut 4 gregor is goat for sinking team. Second best sinking count aplyer.
Sinking team seemed to be what Canto 6 was originally balanced around before the nerfs, as sinking teams could clear the content fine, but other types struggled hence the nerfs so all teams are viable. Also NClair still being the most broken ID in the game.

A suggestion: since you like Burn team so much, you should try to dispense/draw magic bullet Outis since she really good for burn teams. Walpurgisnacht(the event) *should* at least be happening in the foreseeable future.
That was the original plan, before I realized I was gonna get to Canto 5 before Walpurgisnacht rolled around. If it pops up during the canto then I'll use her in it for sure.

Fanatic requires nails on the enemy so fanatic on nsinc doesnt do very much in a liu team

@@ForemanPlaysStuff His skills still get extra damage when he has Fanatic, even without nails. 15% bonus damage on something as damaging as Self-Destructive Purge is nothing to scoff at.

Well even thou Ishmael is my favourite sinner i can see why she annoys you. And well everyone has different views so i dont mind listening to your reasonings.
The surprise rare pulls are definitely why I've come to enjoy you going through them one by one. Even though it can happen from doing the full pull all at once, it's just a lot cooler when it zooms in on it like that from doing them individually. And no, getting a surprise rare is, well, very rare. Much less two in a single 10 pull and one of those being an EGO.
And no, that Gregor's amazing for a Sinking team. He's been really good at Sinking Count application as far as I've gotten to enjoy of him.
Also small reminder, the 'clash outcome' thing at the top for negative coin ID's is not reliable. You have to consider yourself what the skill's minimal range is, it's why his Skill 1 will often be considered better to the game because it has a minimal value of 4 at the start of a clash as opposed to Skill 2 & 3's 0. But that's only when they have more than 1 coin, where their actual minimal clash power ranges are 6, 12 & 18 respectfully for Skill 1, 2 & 3.

Also loved seeing Sinclair throw his hand at intimidation. It's like the incident before with the kidnappers and Ishmael's actions pushed him to be more direct and bolder himself and I love that development here with him. Also Smee's an absolute hottie.
Really appreciate your willingness to try and understand Ishmael's perspective too. Everything you said regarding the whole Smee negotiation scene was spot on, regardless of what they do about Smee there's a problem to consider, and she probably doesn't care which or any of the consequences involved so long as her goal gets reached.
Been an absolutely joy so far this Canto, all your rambles and rants have genuinely been a ton of fun to listen to. Was genuinely worried Ishmael's behavior would ruin your enjoyment of this chapter, happy to see that doesn't seem to be the case.
