I'm pretty sure that Magic Bullet Outis' Uptie Cutscene implies that she's gaslighting herself so that the bullets don't hit allies or loved ones.
Yep! It's probably the most revealing of her uptie stories thus far because it clearly demonstrates what type of person Outis is. Someone who is willing to lie and deveive anyone if it means coming back home to her loved ones, and also someone who is deeply protective of those that she loves.

So just to clarify on the bullets and dark flame. You don't spend bullets whenever you fire, you gain bullets, and only lose them when you shoot with 7 bullets, resetting it to 0.
As for the dark flame, it's a max of 7, but on each body part. Because multiple body parts have dark flame, it all adds together to the bigger value. If you look at the individual parts, you can see how much each has.
Instead of being a magazine count, think of the Bullet Counter as basically "Which round she is on until the 7th Bullet"
LCCB Ryoshu's support passive, "The Lucky Cig", will activate when MB Outis is at max bullets.
The reason why you didn't inflict much burn count is because Hong Lu's passive means "the ally with the most SP" and since all your sinners were at max SP, it instead chooses them in order of selection before the fight, so the passive affected Outis. And since her only burn application is "equal to dark flame" you didn't attack the same part every turn so she just didn't inflict any burn.
So your solution is to either pick a different unit as the first, or attack the same part every turn

So, an important warning in regards to the Mirror Dungeon: Reports are coming in that it is *not* story-locked. People still on Canto IV are getting story bosses for Cantos 5 and 6 in the Mirror Dungeon, including at least one that is a major spoiler even without context.
Fortunately, the new "pack" system makes it possible to avoid these spoilers if you've been forewarned. So to help with that, I've put together a list of which packs to avoid if you want to avoid spoilers (Note that this only covers MD *bosses*, you may still hit spoilers in there outside of boss encounters).

For the liu two stars here’s the basic rules:
if mersault have capote mersault is always best,
if in a human encounter ryosho is best,
if in focused incounter gregor is best, and liu hong lu is lighting the bench on fire (he failed cause he didn’t have enough potency)
About the new mirror dungeon, there are 2 important things to mention:
1. In starter buffs, the first one costs 0 starlight and gives you 200 of it, to give you a small boost in starter buffs progress.
2. Each floor has its own ego gift pool that you can see on the top right of the pack, in each one there will be 46 gifts in pool. However part of them are locked behind 2 starter buffs, so their number will be smaller than it would be normally.
One insane strategy with magic bullet Outis is to have LCCB Ryoshu on the bench for the support passive.
In case you forget what that is, it makes it so that when consuming your last ammo, you deal damage to the enemy you hit equal to the damage you dealt with the skill, in other words making you deal double damage.
With Magic Bullet Outis, her 7th bullet counts as this last ammo. Since she has AOE, it gets a bit weirder.
So if you used magic bullet fire at 7 ammo and it hit 5 enemies for 20 damage each, LCCB Ryoshu’s support passive will deal an extra 100 damage to each enemy you hit, turning a 100 damage attack into a 600 damage attack.
Damn, you got the Ishy E.G.O immediately, i got PhilipClair in my first 10pull but am still missing both E.G.O :(
Fairy Festival Ishmael has very below average clashing for an E.G.O, but it makes up for it by having a Damage Roll that can go up to like 54 with all 5 Reuses, which combined with each one dealing 10% more damage than the last because of the Gluttony Fragility makes this E.G.O deal absolutely stupid amounts of damage. Also, it's the ONLY 2Coin E.G.O in the entire game.
It also finally gives Maid Ishy a niche since she's pretty fast (4-6) and gains Haste so she can inflict the Gluttony Fragility before her allies attack fairly consistently, and has a Gluttony Skill 2 to make use of the Gluttony Fragility herself, though the moment we get a better Rupture Ishy with good speed she'll probably loose this niche again unfortunatly.
One thing you might still be misunderstanding about Magic Bullet Outis is that she DOESN'T consume Magic Bullet UNLESS it's at 7, it's not an actual Ammo mechanic you have to balance and her S3 rolls super high even without the boost and you can use it even at 0 Magic Bullet since it gives you one for free On Use, and you have to use it (Skill 3) or her Guard to even get it higher than 4 anyway. That line about it being treated as "using up the Last Ammo" is literally just so it works with LCCB Ryo's support passive (Which makes that skill even more insane than it already is btw, very fun)
37:13 I don't think Dark Flame counts as "Burn" getting the kill, and it says "with Burn" not "With Burn or Unique Burn", it sure didn't work for me from what i could tell.
55:08 You actually kind of have it backwards, she is easily one of the best horde clearers in the game because of her insane AOE Skill 3 since, as i said above, it doesn't actually consume Magic Bullet unless it's at 7 and its Attack Weight is EQUAL to her Magic Bullet count no matter the number, meaning you can theoretically spam it repeatedly until you hit 7 and it resets, made easier by Selecting her First so she gets the second skill slot immediately and in MD by replacing her other Skills with more copies of Skill 3 (Though that is heavy RNG reliant). The only thing she brings against Single Targets is Dark Flame damage (Which is insanely high as well and single-handedly made Burn usable btw so don't get me wrong) and VERY good Clashing as long as the target has enough Burn.
Anyway, you'll already have experienced the new MD by the time you read this Manager Esquire so... I personally don't think its an improvement over the last one, the Card Packs are a neat idea but in general they just add another layer of RNG for you to get the build you want which the last MD actually pretty much solved with the starting E.G.O Gift choice. But they already said they're looking at the feedback and will probably change some things around to make it better in the future.
Can't really wish you luck for something you already did so i'll say good luck in the rest of Canto 5 instead Manager Esquire.

-Hong Lu support affects the first unit in selection order. If you want to use it well, Outis is not a good idea as the first select.
-When not viewing certain body parts, you will see all status effects combined (resulting in silliness like 28 dark flame)
-Magic (Johnson) Outis gimmick is to gain bullets and then spend them all at 7 bullets. Detonate is only usable below 4 so the only option afterwards will be to use a guard (you must be hit while guarding) or to use skill 3. Be careful with sanity.
Regarding new mirror dungeon, I need to warn you that it has spoilers from later chapters (if PM didn’t fix it already)
Unfortunately, it seems that anti-spoiler system is broken currently.
Oh well, at least Foreman got the EGO of his favorite Sinner. That's something!
Walpurgisnacht, 3! Let's get this show on the road, starting with stuff I missed last time:
Edgar Family Chief Butler Ryoshu:
A crit-focused Identity that gets bonuses based on outspeeding. This is helped by her high speed ranges and Bind infliction on S3. Besides those basic details, she rolls very well accross the board, and B.M acts as a sort of trigger for her Passive (which gives her more Poise, to the point where she can build it to ridiculous heights) and her S3, S.Y.N.C. Effectively, if it kills someone, it gets reused on another person with B.M meaning that Ryoshu can start chain-killing courtesy of raising enemy Stagger and critting really, really hard. Also her S2 just gets AoE on 6 Poise Count by consuming it, which is pretty useful.
Fourth Match Flame (Ryoshu):
The end-of-battlepass EGO of Season 1, it rolls exceptionally high and inflicts a decent amount of Burn. Besides that, it gets Attack Power Up on kill, and its passive means you occasionally get to have +4 power to attacks. Compared to later Battlepass EGO, it doesn't stand out particularly much, but it serves as an exceptionally reliable clasher. (Edit: Demnsoul has informed me that on corrosion you get +9 Attack Power Up without a conditional on corrosion, which makes this significantly better.)
Ardor Blossom Star (Ishmael):
Ardor Blossom Star serves as a reliable, high-rolling Burn EGO with a passive that allows for reliable burn-spreading across the field... in Awakening. In Corrosion, Ardor Blossom Star turns into a nuke, capable of insta-staggering multiple enemies on a tails flip at the cost of 10% of her own HP. It has been used to great effect, as proven by Demonsoul, who loves this EGO a lot.
Wingbeat (Ishmael):
A unique EGO, the first with 2 coins. It clashes really badly for an EGO, capping out at 17... but it can roll *seven* coins once outside of clashing. According to rough damage calculations done by Tas, it can do around 217 damage without accounting for damage modifiers from resistances or stagger, so technically it can do significantly MORE. It's not designed for clashing, but it's absolutely designed for shredding poor fuckers alive.
Lobotomy E.G.O::Magic Bullet Outis:
A Burn-centric ID, and one that allows Burn to become frighteningly effective. Her rolls without conditionals are average, but with conditionals become sort of insane - Her S1 rolls 17, and her S2 rolls 22. Then, there is the S3: It has a special effect. At certain counts of Magic Bullet (the blue bullet counter), it will cause the base and Coin Power to raise, capping at 40 if I remember correctly. Then, it will fire, hiting as many targets as there are Magic Bullet count, whilst taking a chunk of sanity. If you have her at 10 or less Sanity, allies will potentially be caught in the line of fire, meaning you want to keep her capped on sanity as much as physically possible. Then there is Dark Flame, which multiplies your Burn Potency by amount of Dark Flame on an enemy to trigger a burst of Pride Damage. Since Burn is notoriously easy to stack to frankly insane levels, that means you can casually walk around with several hundred pride damage loaded for your personal use. It's stupid good, though the fact she lacks almost any Burn Count or Potency application of her own means that you HAVE to run her with a team to get mileage out of Dark Flame
Slight correction - at 7 magic bullets, Outis' skill 3 roll will become 30+10, so it rolls a 40. Granted, that takes a while, since she can use her skill 2 to ramp up her bullet count only until 4. It was easy in the first Walpurgisnacht, but now is only really gonna show up in really long fights or if you give her skill replacements in mirror dungeons.
important clarification about status effects on abnormalities:
each part has separate effect lists, but the abnormality display simply adds up their potency and count across the board
if you apply burn count to one part and potency to another, it can still expire on one part even if the count displays as 99 due to being high on a different part
the only way to check the individual values, as far as I know, is to click the abnormality and select a specific part
this matters a lot when stacking count and making sure it doesn't drop below 1
Welcome to 'club for someone who used all his lunacy to get only one EGO'
The challenge for hard mode comes from the missions! The one where you must kill three enemies in one attack had me grinding for a couple hours!
Foreman, LCCB Ryoshu's support passive works with Outis's 3rd skill. Read them and you'll understand.
Some things to note that others haven't said as of yet (until i refresh yt comment section of course)
- She does not benefit from BL Yi Sang's support passive. This is because that passive gives Poise Count "From Skills," not passives, like Outis.
- the reason why her passive caps at 20 Poise is because Poise crit chance is {Poise Potency × 5}, so 20 poise leads to a %100 chance / guaranteed crit.
- her Skill 3 gains Base and Coin Power based on the amount of Magic Bullets she has. 1~3 has her standard 15 +4. 4~6 gives her a 17 base with 6 coin power. Lastly, 7 Bullets lead her Skill 3 to reach 30 base power with +10 Coin Power (hence she rolled a 40 near the end).
- Dark Flame specifically does "Pride Affinity" damage. So some enemies end up taking more (like some you'll face soon, maybe in the Mirror Dungeon), some take less. Of course, this really doesn't matter much, does it?
- some small details about our new superstar, she has Bloodbath's EGO Gift, the hand bandages. She also has the smoking pipe of Der Freischutz, but that's obvious and up front. (She also smirks and winks in her Evade animation, but since she has a Block skill, we can't see it 😢)
Anyways, I wish you get Philipclair soon. With how much Burn he can Inflict, these two Walpurgis Burn IDs are a perfect pair~ Good luck!

I would suggest getting Lob. Corp. Ego: Regret Faust. Once the Walpurgisnacht ends, you won't be able to get her until the next Walpurgisnacht.
Getting wingbeat with 4k lunacy wasnt a bad rate, surprising enough you was pretty lucky.

I dunno if somebody told you this before but here it goes. As of now running more then 1 MDH per week is not worth the time and effort you have to put in Foreman. the boni for doing Hard individually are barely noticeable while taking a good chunk of your free time that is more so pronounced when you get the wrong mounting trials and card packs while still not having any starlight buffs 1 Hard Dungeon a Week is the best work to free time to fun to gain ratio but perhaps that changes once we have all starlight buffs but not yet. Just make sure you have 18 modules saved for each week. Doing the ruina event on hard is more worth then doing 3 MDH as you get 500 lunacy for way less time investment. Also given you reached or soon will reach the End of the BP means you get from then on Yellow boxes which are your bread maker for making a Thread stash at the new Season and more importantly let you access IDS and EGO without Lunacy. Doing 1 MDH will net you 69 boxes. around a 120-180 Boxes are 1 3Star Identity or EGO. I am still testing the efficiency but it might be more worth grinding normal dungeons for Yellow boxes after using the MDH boni for one big reward. Thread is a precious resource but part of its dependency will be negated when you farm Yellow boxes instead. Now that means neglecting thread luxcavation so finding the sweet spot for yourself depends solely on yourself. But i need you to understand that the very least is to keep doing your weekly MDH so that you have a stash of thread where you can draw from when needed as you should probably land at around 700 boxes + on MDH bonuses alone. I know you wont consider this but to get to Pity in Walpurgis takes around 30.000 lunacy while doing your weekly mdh and 300 lunacy each week nets you roughly 12.000 before the next Season speculating it starts August. Doing the Railway when you got to finish the cantos is worth a thought given its content and you mostly care about the rewards not Turn count as that's anyways just for boasting. Tickets too are important to plan into all of this but i trust in you finding your own sweet spot.
Now, all that said. Your account and your free time, I just needed you to understand given you have a tight schedule and play plenty of games as is that upkeep of your Account takes some planning to ease the workload .

As long as her sanity is high enough you want to spam her skill 3, it also gives magic bullets even at 4+ count unlike skill 2 which can't bring her past 4 and it is great at clashing and aoe dmg. With the event just giving her tons of sanity you want to pretty much always use it. The event fight isn't hard but a few of the quests can be tricky, especially the one where you have to kill all 3 fairies with a single attack, since you can't widdle them down slowly or they will just be eaten when they stagger, pretty much have to do it in a single turn.

38:00 depends on who you ask. I also found Ricardo the hardest fight in Canto 5, but your mileage may, and does vary. You've dealt with him exceptionally well, imho, your Ruina experience helped as well, but also the Liu is a decent team to deal with him, considering all the bluntmaxx. There's a decent chance you might struggle more with upcoming content, as many players did. I have a buddy who did okay against Ricardo and then proceeded to bash his head against the wall for a whole day against the later sections.
So, good news! It's not all mindless grinding after this point :D

Tbh wingbeat Ishmael is the potential man of ego, much like sunshower heathcliff is the iconic potential man. On one side of the coin I’ve seen it shred bosses, and on the other I’ve seen it deal 6 damage.

Sinclairs skill descriptions are just math equations. I don't think anyone remembers what all his effects do after looking at it once. This reminds me of Hoyo games and their tendency to write wall of text as skill description just to overcomplicate things that you will get immediately after one use (not the same thing as Limbus but still).

I would say you were pretty unlucky with your pulls, I got all 3 new ID and EGO in 6 10 pulls. Now if only I had enough EXP tickets to get everything I want to lvl 45.

Seems like a classic case of different people struggling with different parts. Some claimed to have dusted Ricardo but struggled later, others took ages to beat Ricardo but breezed through the rest of the Canto.

Foreman, i love you and your videos, but please for the love of god just call it Walpurgis Night or look up the proper pronunciation, because the way you and many other say it sounds like "Walpurgis Snack" or even worse, "Walpurgis nackt" which means Walpurgis nude in german.
Can you use another team? I kinda sick of burn team.
We'll swap out the Burn team once Canto 5 is over, like we did with Canto 4
Might try and set up a different team for the Intervallo but that comes down to resources, still need to uptie and level up the sinking team for Canto 6
It's gonna take forever due to dungeons, retry, story and a bunch of other stuff.
