So it turns out the basslines for this game are actually pretty complex, no-one is surprised by this discord.gg/foremanplaysstuff
I would personally like to see more! There is technically even a "ending" to this game so would be cool to see you play till then :3
While Hades is probably the least "LP-able" of the Supergiant games in terms of genre, it has a definitive end and a pretty fun gameplay loop. Glad to see it on the channel!
The soundtracks in their games are also fuckin INCREDIBLE, as is evident in this one pretty quickly.
Achilles being in the underworld is actually quite neat.
There is a legend of Heracles going down into the underworld to meet Achilles. Who begs Heracles to take him along out of the underworld.
Why?
Because in the underworld, everyone's an equal, noone's special, everyone is just dead.
The greatest of poet or warrior and the lowest of farmers. Everyone is equal in death.
In the end Heracles doesnt take him along, as he can't. He's not allowed to.
But the point is that, death is the great equalizer.
No matter what you do or who you are in life, you will die.
And in greek mythology, where there is no heaven or special treatment for any dead person (except the very worst of people, for whom Tartarus exists). So death is even more of an equalizer.
Everyone dies.
you do not matter any more among the dead then any other dead.
The only thing that matters is what you leave behind.
Even if you yourself can not benefit from it.
buddy id be so down for this to be a series. idk about others but i find roguelikes to be very LP-able and this one is also pretty story heavy so it wouldnt really get boring. i know people repeatedly asking you to do stuff is more likely to turn you away from doing that but please at least give it a thought :)
If you're worried about scheming gods, Aphrodite is THE EPIPHANY of scheming among the greek gods.
She's extreemly vein, and takes everything very personal.
Though she's also very willing to help, even without getting anything out of it.
Still, she's propably the most chaotic of the greek gods.
Which is not suprising. She's the most primordial outside of Gaia (the earth), Uranus (the sky) and Chronos (the firstborn/titan).
epitomy*
Epiphany is a sudden realization about something
Can’t watch rn, but if you actually make a full series of this I cannot wait!
Hades is such an incredible game. I can't really go into details regarding -why- this game might struggle for an LP format, but if you -want- to play it gor the channel, or even just play it period, do it. Hades is incredible.
I'm really appreciating your hilarious commentary! Excited to see there's an episode 2 and I hope there's more after that!
A lot of greek gods have bows as their chosen weapon, or do hunting.
But THE god of the hunt and that the bow relates to is Artemis.
YOOOOOO
ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES OF ALL TIMES!!!
You will LOVE it!
There is a lot of dialogue and optional story stuff to do and find, full lp certainly can be done and I would love to see it from you.
my brother and i were just talking about this game, crazy timing. i used to watch him play it when it first came out but he never finished it, excited to see a new playthrough of it and maybe finally find out how it ends, if you continue the series
Hooray!!! 🎉 I'm a *MASSIVE* Supergiant Games fan, so I'm *always* down to see some Hades!
Personally, I'm of the mindset that Pyre doesnt get enough love, but Transistor will always remain my favourite for... everything about it, really. 💙🗡
Edit: Also, the noclip dev documentary about this is fantastic if you get the opportunity to watch it. 👍
I, for one, would love to see more of this. I get why this type of game in generally less LP friendly but whatever. I enjoy watching anyway.
it was so good, i love it so much i would lvoe a LP !!!
I think this could be a series if you enjoy it. I def like watching ya play it
ive wanted to see you play this for soo long😂
Ahhh, Hades. It's been a while since I last played, but I fortunately still remember a few tips. To wit:
The dash has invincibility frames, but only during the process. This means for the Brimstone lasers, you can dash through, and for Megaera, you can kind of dash circles around her and be functionally impossible to hit during her bullethell phase.
Second, Athena is really, REALLY good... mostly because of her Dash boon. Dashing is what you do for a good 60% of the game, and being able to tell projectiles to fuck off while doing so is an insanely good thing to have in your arsenal. Besides that, builds synergize, so you'll learn how to grasp things with time... and Dionysus kind of just works with everyone?
He's a partygoer, he loves everyone, he'll basically never be bad. Hope this helps :D
Love me some Hades
Ayo lets fucking go?
Oh hey, Hades has been on my "to check out" list but I never took the plunge. Considered watching a lets play instead but never did. Perhaps this is the time.
(Sidenote: I have been playing a lot of Void Stranger lately. My god what a game.)

He's either in the Disney adaptation of the story or, more likely, in the Roman version of mythology. Greeks didn't have Hercules. They had Heracles, named after Hera, wife of Zeus.
This was great, love seeing you play this so if you choose to keep the series up that's fine and dandy by me
Of the three brothers, Poseidon is actually the most dangerous.
He's the one of the three that is the most vengeful and holds grudges the most. But he's also the most determined. So he's the most reliable
Zeus is just... well... unreliable. He's the literal iteration of "I can get away with it, cause I'm me!" But he's also the one who is the most protective and caring. He considers himself a father figure and thus is protective. Which is why he kept the position as king of Olympus all the time through.
Hades meanwhile is actually the calmest and most reasonable of the three. He's also the most rational. That's why he rules the underworld. Though he can come over as cold.
None of these three are schemers though.
They all carry their intentions on their sleeves.
So if any of the gods, if one of those three makes a promise to you, you can trust that they'll keep it and dont try to trick you.
At worst, they want to use you to get at someone else.
Oooh boy, this going to be a looooong series, haha
Absolutely unexpected of you to touch this game. But I'm looking forward for how you'll do in there !
HELL YESSS WOOO
Cerberus is indeed a good boy!
Even during greek mythos
I want you to remember that you're inflicting people with hangovers so bad they cause physical injury and DEATH.
The worst part is, they don't even get to die properly because they already did that!
Dionysus is truly a cruel one.
Man, makes me wanna pick up Hades again. Its one of those "its painful to watch someone not know game mechanics, but I'm glad they're having fun" kinda videos, looking forward to seeing you play more and improve :D
Woah, Hades! Can we get much higher?
Absolutely loved this game. Hope you'll enjoy it as well 😄

The spread on the tripple shot is Way To wide
I think I''ll get annoyed at the mythologie and gods in this one, wount I >.< ...
Athena is the godess of warfare and tactics. not wisdom
Apollo is the god of wisdom.
Ares is the god of warriors, not war.
And Hades is the god of the underworld. Not the dead.
Dyonisos is technically the god of celebration and joy, not wine. But it's effectively the same, and often used interchangeably in greek mythology, so that one's fine.
No god is trapped in the underworld also.
Neither Hades, nor his children.
Athena is god of wisdom AND tactics and war. Apollo is normaly associated with arts, forsight and, in versions of mythos without Helios, Sun. Hades rules underworld and dead, in the same vein that Zeus is the god of everything on the ground including huamans technically. Ares is by all means god of war. Though all of your comments make sense - for their roman versions.
Persephone was trapped in the underworld, Hades considers himself trapped because he literally drew the short end of the stick when they were deciding who rules what with Zeus and Posidon and now is bound there by obligation. Zagreus is the god of not being able to escape death more-or-less.
I know we are supposed to dislike Hades (Dad) but I do have a soft spot for grumpy old men, and that bear do demands respect.
Have to love SuperGiant games. Would love to see more of this.
