This whole format is just such a dream come true for those of us who grew up on this fabulous music. To have the actual creator give the whole backstory at this time is such a precious gift. Thank you Rob Squad, I’m smiling all over. ✌️
It's amazing seeing the artists that inspired us growing up now is inspiring our kids and actually meeting with them! *Full Circle!* Huge thanks to Earl Young for coming on and sharing his presence and stories!
I'm loving these artist videos. Such insight and such a gift for all of us. Such a contrast to certain other artists who choose to block reaction videos rather than embrace what is such a wonderful way to introducing a new audience to their music.
This whole series is really blowing my mind. You guys are doing such a deep dive into music now, it's an absolute joy to be a distant part of that but a part of it nonetheless. I've been following you guys for a long time now and I've enjoyed every bit of it.
This is a treat finding out from one of the creators the backstories to this song. I am 59 Years old and was born in 1964 so I grew up during the Disco era. I danced to these songs.
Congrats on taking the reaction channel to a new level. I am really enjoying getting to see the artists telling us the stories behind the music. Enjoy the journey J & A
Saw the band about 15 years ago - what a trip to dance along to the Trammps onstage!!!! Got to shake Jimmy Ellis' hand. It sucks that they're all gone except Earl, but that's life. Thank God Earl can still go out with the band and still tear it up!!!
🇬🇧 JEEZ LOUISE GUYS! What is happening? You've had music royalty on from day one of The Creators, & tonight is no different. And nobody else is doing this, it's perfect. I think Disco was/is, will always be my favourite genre. Great to see you Mr Earl, & a huge thank you for making such wonderful, fantastic music. ❤🎶🎼🔥🔥🔥🔥 Oh YESS, the happy people were ALWAYS at the DISCO 🪩💃🕺
I wasn’t a great disco fan but you have to give these artists their place in history too. I remember the Tramps and great he actually came on the show.
Disco Inferno was likely the biggest hit for my Class of 79! At my senior homecoming, our band played a great version and as a majorette, we twirled fire batons that night for a spectacular homecoming halftime! I still know the routine !
WOW - I'm just SO HAPPY to see all these PEOPLE that produced SUCH GREAT MUSIC!!! THANKS, EARL, for coming on for this and for all the WONDERFUL MUSIC you-guys PUT OUT!! Such a GREAT BEAT..that BASS LINE and THOSE HORNS!! IT WAS THE JAMMMMM!!! THANKS!!
What Earl said about being able to play all genre's of music is the ultimate testament of a pure musician. Adaptable because the music is within. Thank you for shining the light on this gem of a man.
One of my absolute favorite songs to dance to when I was younger. Boogie Woogie in my living room. Can't believe you have Earl on the show. My sister and her now husband won a disco competition dancing to this very song back in the day. Huge smile on my face. So happy the two of you are giving a present day platform for these great performers to share the fabulous history of their artistry. Keep it up. Canadian Grandma Lori. C.
You two wonderful beings are SO COOL! You be the modern age MTV !!! This new addition to your rapidly expanding musical awareness universe makes this ole (75) musician heart SO happy whenever I get to click on you . HOORAY !!!!! keeps me gettn younger every day.😍
Featuring Mr Earl Young may turn out to be the most informative and popular Creators video ever. You guys need to do more of his MFSB stuff, they were to Philadelphia International Records in the 70s, what the Funk Brothers were to Motown in the 60s.
J & A, you guys have really taken your channel to new highs! Absolutely LOVED this song and DISCO was my favorite music! I'm so proud at how far you have progressed with your music education. 🎶 ❤😊😂 I've been watching since when only J was on by himself! Just love how much you both have learned. And hasn't it been a ton of fun?!? 😂😅😊❤
Where The Happy People Go was written and arranged by Ronnie Baker, of Baker, Harris and Young Productions and the premier rhythm section at Sigma Studios.
The Trammps were amazing! Some incredible songs in the 70's. Got you on the dance floor and made you feel good. The harmonies and grooves are incredible! "Disco Inferno" was a perfect song in Saturday Night Fever.
Thank you J. & Amber - & Thank-you Mr. Earl Young for doing this interview. It was such a joy to hear you talk about it all (in a good mini length "hint, hint - J. & Amber" interview.) I was just a kid when your music was out, but I can tell you that you did bring me a lot of joy (& singing & dancing moments) when your songs played on the radio. 😊 ♥ Love to all 3 of you - from Toronto, Canada
I've been telling people for years that when I was young, I thought the Trammps and The Mighty Clouds of Joy were the same people. 😅 (I didnt read labels back then.) So it cracks me up to hear that he actually played on The Mighty Clouds of Joy sessions.
ROB SQUAD, once again FANTASTIC reaction and fantastic that you got a chance to sit down with Mr Earl Young!! I am just stunned and excited for this new adventure that you guys are on and it is SO Cool that you get to talk to these creators!! Jordan I hope in upcoming videos with Mr Young you ask him how long has he been playing the drums?? I'd be curious to know!!
Looking forward to who you interview in the future. They sure look like they are having a great time reliving these precious moments of their lives. So glad I finally subscribed 😊
I was 14 when this song came out it was a great dance rollerskating song All kids were doing this at the time we show up on the weekends and when this came on we went flying around the rollerskating rink great memories thank you’s
This is Rob Squad learning the true meaning of "fair use." So many "reaction" channels get canceled because they exploit fair use, which was created for news organizations to showcase parts of work while reporting on it. Guests show up on Late-Night shows and have no problem showing movie clips for free to promote themselves or the product, the movie. But too many reaction channels merely play copyrighted material and make money off of it through ads and patreons without promoting their creators or providing in-depth news value. That's when artists, who may be retired, haven't had a hit in 40 years and see young people making money off of work they created without offering compensation or promotion. The more Rob and Amber improve their interviewing (and research) skills, the better they will get. They will probably get permission to play some music and avoid having their channel shut down.
Thanks you guys for giving the younger generations exposure to this Gentleman who is a living legend. Never really got the accolades he and many of the other early architects of philly soul so rightly deserve. 👍👍
I grow up in the 70s. So this is so awesome. Love it. Thank you. I graduated in 1977. So I was into disco big time. I was at Pogos. A disco every Friday and Saturday night
This reaction channel was different right from the get-go and now its stepped up and surpassed expectations with the originators of these classic songs. Thanks for giving artists, like Earl Young, their due.. I'm sure it makes them "happy people" to know their music has stood the test of time and is still relevant today.
We were in the disco's every Saturday night in the 70's, when they played the Trammps you couldn't get a spot on the dance floor so the entire place would be dancing ❤ disco 😊 Gary
Great to see you both with Earl Young, a true creator! Please, please react to more of the Trammps - they have a good dozen or so disco bangers! Thank you!!!
The Tramps are my favorite musical group of all time. That's where the happy people go...is my favorite Disco song of all time. That song started my 10 years as a Disco freak. I loved all of it! This band made the best dance beats of all time. I love that bubble Bassline. Rob Squad can you please review Worn out broken heart ... Lolita Holloway. She has since passed, and I would like for people to know how great of a vocalist she was. Thank you!
What a great blast from the past! Dancing around like idiots with our Aqua Net hair and polyester wrap around dresses, I'm surprised we didn't spontaneously combust. 🤣 Thanks!
Saturday Night Fever came out when I was 15 in 1977. I was too young to go to a disco but the next year I went to Spain with my high school Summer School Abroad program. We spent four of our five weeks in Salamanca. Back then movies weren’t released simultaneously worldwide so hit Spain a year after the US release. There was a disco within walking distance of our dorm and no drinking age in Spain. We went to the disco a couple of times a week. 46 years later and it feels like yesterday. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I was a DJ in a club in the UK when these records came out. I wore these records out playing them. Disco will never die it was real music played by real musicians, I loved the Trammps and MFSB (Mother Father Sister Brother) and the Philly sound.
Wow you two are doing it big with this reaction. Earl Young the father of Disco. He started it when it was only an underground art form. Clubs in NYC, North Jersey & Philly. Philly International started that movement🎼🔥
For bass lovers, listen to Ronnie Baker behind Wilson Pickett on "Engine No. 9", behind Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes on "Bad Luck" or behind Double Exposure on "Every Man." There are hundreds and hundreds more tracks, of course, but those 3 are great examples.
Disco Inferno was THE song for Saturday Night Fever and the 70s. You could see John Travolta dancing when that song started. Disco had such great songs but didn't seem to be around long enough. Now kids think of it as a joke. It was fun!
"Disco Party" was their other #1 US Dance chart hit. "Disco Inferno" was just a Huge hit!! The Trammps: Jimmy Ellis - lead vocal; Robert Upchurch - lead and baritone vocal; Earl Young - bass vocal, drums; Harold Wade - first tenor; Stanley Wade - second tenor.
This whole format is just such a dream come true for those of us who grew up on this fabulous music. To have the actual creator give the whole backstory at this time is such a precious gift. Thank you Rob Squad, I’m smiling all over. ✌️
I bet other music reaction channels are kicking themselves that they didn't think of it. 🤣
What a wall of gold and platinum records behind him. Yes, he should be in the hall of fame!
Earl Young a legend....one of the best drummers of his era.
You guys are just killing it with these guests! ❤️
the sound of philly in the house one of the best music in the 70's to many to name !
STAYING ALIVE WAS THE BIGGEST SONG ON THE LP AND MOVIE I WAS THERE
This whole series is really blowing my mind. You guys are doing such a deep dive into music now, it's an absolute joy to be a distant part of that but a part of it nonetheless. I've been following you guys for a long time now and I've enjoyed every bit of it.

I was born in 64 also. Nov 64. I was in the 7th grade going to the 8th grade in NYC during the summer of 77 when this was out
Yes, a galloping feeling. The first time your pony goes from a trot to a gallop, that’s how Disco always felt to me.
Congrats on taking the reaction channel to a new level. I am really enjoying getting to see the artists telling us the stories behind the music. Enjoy the journey J & A

Dang you got a legend! Well done 👏🏻
No matter what when this song started playing you got your self right back up on that dance floor!
I've been telling people for years that when I was young, I thought the Trammps and The Mighty Clouds of Joy were the same people. 😅 (I didnt read labels back then.) So it cracks me up to hear that he actually played on The Mighty Clouds of Joy sessions.
Kudos to Mr. Young for his important contributions to great and historical music. And hats off to his great talent. God Bless❤😊
Awesome! Thanks much! Love The Trammps. Memory Lane used to perform Disco Inferno and was always a crowd pleaser and dance favorite.
I'm loving this new creators series! Hope you keep it up. Your channel is already great. Congrats to you both!
This was such an anthem back in the day, 'The Trammps' were such a great band, as were, 'MFSB', too, such great days.

Disco... The original dance music!
One of the greatest disco tunes of the 70s, the ultimate feel good song.
Glad to see this... It means you came through the bad weather.
I grow up in the 70s. So this is so awesome. Love it. Thank you. I graduated in 1977. So I was into disco big time. I was at Pogos. A disco every Friday and Saturday night

Hello all the way from SWEDEN! this is me and my mothers jam!!!!! nothing can beat this!, greetings from us! :) :)
Such great stories.
So glad the history that influenced music of that era is discussed.
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest disco song ever made.
And NYC did “Burn Baby Burn!” Summer of 1977 Blackout! Tramps played all over the radio during this time. ❤
He was also with MFSB! Y'all need to react to MFSB's best known song, "The Sound of Philadelphia" from 1974.
I was a DJ in a club in the UK when these records came out. I wore these records out playing them. Disco will never die it was real music played by real musicians, I loved the Trammps and MFSB (Mother Father Sister Brother) and the Philly sound.
This Creator series is great! Thank you!
Lights flashing red yellow blue green I was waiting for Rob and Amber to start getting down and boogie.
Wow you two are doing it big with this reaction. Earl Young the father of Disco. He started it when it was only an underground art form. Clubs in NYC, North Jersey & Philly. Philly International started that movement🎼🔥
That's Where the Happy People Go. This song hardly gets reacted to. Thanks reacting to this song. Thank for having Earl Young.
This is a really nice format. Love it
Brilliant concept!!!
Saw the Trammps live in 1978 - so much fun!!!
For bass lovers, listen to Ronnie Baker behind Wilson Pickett on "Engine No. 9", behind Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes on "Bad Luck" or behind Double Exposure on "Every Man."

Harold Wade - first tenor; Stanley Wade - second tenor.
Disco was a short-lived phenomenon...thank God.
That's your opinion but I'd say you're in the minority
