NAKHON SI THAMMARAT - Welcome to Nakhon Si Thammarat, located in Southern Thailand, and one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. It’s home to some of the spiciest, and most flavorful food in all of Thailand, and they have an abundance of delicious seafood. Today we’re taking a day trip to Laem Talumphuk, which is a cape jetting into the ocean just a 45 minute drive from Nakhon Si Thammarat. Get ready to eat some serious Thai seafood!
Cha-Run Seafood (ร้านจ่ารุณ) - Along the cape, you’ll find a number of seafood restaurants, right along the sand. We chose to eat at Cha-Run Seafood (ร้านจ่ารุณ), and I can tell you right away, highly recommended. It was an outstanding meal.
First of all, the owner and all the chefs were incredibly nice and so friendly, and they laughed so hard the entire time we were there about the fan exploding.
We ordered a huge amount of seafood, and southern Thai foods, including clams, a giant alien mantis shrimp the size of my forearm, mullet in sour soup, seawater catfish curry, and not forgetting the golden yellow crab roe. In addition to the seafood, there’s nothing better than sitting with your feet in the sand while you eat.
Total price - 1,520 THB ($49.17)
After lunch, we continued driving down to the end of Laem Talumphuk, mostly just to see the view. It’s quite a unique landscape and nice place to visit, but the seafood is the real reason to visit.

I just like the way he's so fascinated w/ the sea culture. I wanted him to be that too. But my creepin self looked up his origin & turns out, I guess he's not. He does seem like a nervous laughter, more of a could u not crowd my space reserved type. But he seems so nonoutbursty, he does seem pleasant. It's just he is a host of a channel so y wouldn't he behave more calmly. I always thought low key he's prob way psycho he just hides it well :/. But his wifey & son sea tho.& I remember watching food channels so much there was this fitness gym head I'd always came across. No matter what channel I was on. Wonder what happened to her. Oh, & his arrogant "bro." Anywho their son is cute. It's been cool watching him grow. Although I haven't kept up as much as I did, I only catch glimpses of the kiddo from time to time. Kids seen way more of the world than I have tho., that's for sure

I recall being at a crab boil and seeing one of the guest attempt to discard the roe...I had to stop her and say, "girl, that's like the caviar and mayonnaise all rolled onto one" the orange stuff is the best and it's so awesome to open up a crab and see it in abundance.
I just love the joy he gets from eating these delicious dishes!! He's so relaxing to watch!!

Mark, I love you and your family, but I liked this video specifically because of the chefs and the brilliant attitude all of them have, especially the main one. You should definitely go back because they are amazing and I want to see more of the food and genuine kindness.

As a Korean, that raw crab dish with the bright orange yolk made my mouth water...frankly I didn't know countries other than Korea ate raw crab. I think I'm gonna end up dreaming about it tonight. If you are a typical American who's never even imagined eating raw crab...well, I feel sorry for you, you are missing out on one of the TOP culinary dishes in the world. And just having a whole-fish dish makes you wince and go, "Oh my god! It's looking at me!!!" It's time you went beyond just meat and potatoes.

I can totally understand. I live also in Germany (born here but roots from Korea). been traveling around SEA a lot. My biggest dream would to leave Germany and live in SEA or Korea. German food is just not enjoyable. Good thing I cook well - otherwise it would be unbearable to be here...so I feel you guys!!!!!!!

Whenever I make my way to Thailand, I know I will spend weeks preparing by watching Mark's videos. Definitely want to try the crab as I'm a big fan of Korean soy sauce crab roe over hot rice too.

Loved this video; especially with how Mark did his drone shots. Some of his best cinematography I have seen so far from him. The last shot at the end of the cape was unbelievable with how you could not tell where the sand ended and the water began.
