My father loved the c melody and could play this many years ago. He left me a Buescher, King And several others, I'd like to Learn to play. He died two years ago and this song reminds me of him. Thank you for posting this it's very beautiful.
I hope you've got one of the Saxophones out of the cases. I'm 70 and started never played any wind instruments but now I can, haven't booked any gigs yet😂. I had real issues to I bough a Legere synthetic signature reed. They're a little more than a box of reeds, but last for months and are completely consistent, you have a good reed every time you play.

I haven't heard this approach to c-mel -- a very contemporary, bright sound that is truly midway between alto and tenor. Outstanding work!

Je vais essayer de faire aussi bien sur mon "référence 36" mais cela va être dur car votre son est excellent ainsi que la personnalisation de votre interprétation

Ok I play a bunch of instruments but not sax (no woodwinds yet actually) but I have been thinking about getting one and going back and forth on Bb or C melody (because I get the transposition already from playing trumpet). But you gave this a tenor sound and an alto sound - on one horn! I am sold - getting a C. Inspirational playing by the way. THANKS!!!
Get a modern mouth piece for your 'C' Melody, as you will be a bit disappointed with the antique ones that originally came with them. They always sound a little 'choked' or restricted to me.
@@garybugaiski8254 Don't agree, I have the big sound FAXX here and after getting used to the "choked" Vintage Buescher, and using a medium Fibrereed, that classic sound is so much nicer. Plus the Vintage Buescher I'm using uses about half the air and you can blow really really quiet if you like.

You should get a C-Mel from Thomann and do a comparison to the Selmer.

I think if you look hard enough, you'll see that this horn is a Buescher True Tone Stencil. Selmer C-Mels aren't "out there"....almost everything was Conn, Buescher, Martin......and stencils. To answer your question, a nice refurbed Buescher can be had on e-bay for less than $500, a Conn New Wonder I or II in great shape is getting closer to $700....but you can find both models in original condition and needing a full re=pad for $100-$200

Bonjours, alors surpris car moi aussi j'ai un C-melody ténor (et non c-melody alto comme les conns), le miens est un buescher True Tone de 1920, et perso je trouve qu'il est largement plus chaud, plus rond dans les graves que le tiens mais dans les aigues, je trouve le tiens plus doux et moins agressives que le miens. Mais sinon très bon sax d'elkhart, sinon c'est quoi comme bec car j'essaye de trouvé un super bon bec qui irait déçu afin de lui donné un son particulièrement doux et rond.

This one was a Buescher Stencil (Sans the gusseted "man on the moon" curved neck). Identical other than the gusset under the neck

T55 (ancien!) , il est bleu d'origine... Pour le lakey, je joue un 6*3. Pour continuer sur le matériel, les cam, camsports, iPhone et ipad, voilà!
Anches 3 pour l'alto lakey et idem pour le ténor.
