@Eric Strunck The record business is crooked no matter skin color or religion of label owners. That is why there are one-hit wonders. Artists sign disadvantagous contracts out of desperation. I met a Motown songwriter who was beat up badly when he tried to negotiate an opt out on his 7-year contract.

I can’t be the only one? I discovered this song (and a lot of music from my parents and older sister) on one of those K-tel greatest hits albums in the mid-70s. I’d sit downstairs on our yellow shag carpet next to our stereo. Headphones on. Turntable spinning a black, slightly wobbly, shiny disk. Something to watch when my eyes weren’t closed. Simpler times. Great music and great memories. I keep this song and quite a few others from this era on my active playlists just to take me back. This one in particular has such a cool vibe and I never skip it.

That was life. Jam on Tommy J. and you should be in the Hall of Fame.
think i was 6 years old the very first hippy song i learned and loved 47 years later, luv n light to you
One of the greatest "Hippie Songs" ever recorded, just a great sing-a-long tune....
Niles, Michigan boy.
The keyboard player for the shondells works out at my gym. Real cool guy and lots of great rock stories.
I love this song, saw Tommy in Vernon Hills IL about 20 years ago
Impressed with his resilience and ability to write so many hits after being ripped off and coerced by thugs in the"biz." I hope he made back most what he deserved.
He said he had to go into hiding when some of Mort's "associates" were looking to cut off his revenue stream, aka, Tommy.
much like John Fogherty, fighting the anti-christs for his own material
@@seed_drill7135 yikes--frightening...
This song reminds of the many times my friend and I went deep sea fishing in Hawaii. It was the early 70's and we caught a ton of fish! Good luck song. Thanks Tommy.
Man I was 7 yrs old when this hit the airwaves. I remember it like it was yesterday!
Same here...I was 10.

Tommy James man thank you so much. U-shaped and colored my world. Very cool
His hair is U-shaped
I can’t be the only one?
I discovered this song (and a lot of music from my parents and older sister) on one of those K-tel greatest hits albums in the mid-70s. I’d sit downstairs on our yellow shag carpet next to our stereo. Headphones on. Turntable spinning a black, slightly wobbly, shiny disk. Something to watch when my eyes weren’t closed. Simpler times. Great music and great memories. I keep this song and quite a few others from this era on my active playlists just to take me back. This one in particular has such a cool vibe and I never skip it.
Love the artist love the band love the song Love the video
