    I found a trick with the chia seeds. Put the boiled seeds in the blender, it will release the gel much easier. You’ll still need the stocking but it worked.

      Do I boil them first or after I blend them?

    • @LeelooZA
      @LeelooZA 8 годин тому

      @@Melanite_Nomads no need to boil chia seeds, you can just soak them in water for like 30 mins and you will see it thickens. Then blend for a few seconds to loosen the seeds, then squeeze.

    This one is nice, but the work on those chia seeds looks way challenging. I've been using the flaxseed with olive oil, rosemary and carrot essential oil - I L O V E IT!!! Thanks so much for sharing your recipes!

      It is definitely a pain in the butt lol but worth a lil extra work because of all the added hair benefits. You're Welcome, now if I can only hurry up with this hair care line. So many people inbox me saying they appreciate the recipes but don't have the time or patience to make it themselves.

    ++ I watched your other video and I love your journey. That's for the DIY lock products. I started with locs in 2004, so I've had them for a while. My problem was leaving the US and trying to find products in the stores or eBay. I like DIT so I looked and found you and you are a blessing. I just ordered off eBay and two days later searched the Internet. I could have saved some money starting of the year and had beer products from things I have around the house already!

    Hi, nice to see more UK UA-camrs out there! I'm from London. I've been using Aloe, Flaxseed, and Okra with Vedic oil for a while and I really like it! I didn't know you could use Chia seeds in your hair as well! I'm going to add them to my recipe!
    In regards to the difficulty you were having extracting the Chia seed gel, perhaps try a fine plastic sieve; this will allow you to manipulate the seeds with your hands more efficiently and work more productively.
    ok, gotta run! Off to do my hair! Seeya! 😄

    • @erinreese9809

      I just tried this ^^
      I boiled 2 cups of water with a quarter cup of ground chia seeds (used a coffee grinder on the 'fine' setting). The seeds are much smaller, more of a gritty texture than actual seeds. Less likely to show up in hair.
