This gel recipe has transformed my hair. It’s nourishing yet still provides hold without my hair being crunchy. I’ve able to go an extra week before wash day and probably could have gone another few days if my scalp wasn’t itchy. My hair is so much more manageable and the only thing I’ve changed in my routine is the gel. Thank you!

** Fantastic & revolutionary hair gel**
It’s my 3rd test recipes from WholeElise,
I recently made the leave-in-conditioner which amazed me for how simple and professional it looked !
I did the hair gel recipe as I was tired of each sundays cooking flaxseed gel.
I wasn’t expecting much of it until i tested it on a strand of hair.
One strand damped in water with the leave-in-conditioner (the Whole Elise one) then the gel and some argan oil.
One other strand damped in water without the leave-in, gel and argan oil.
That’s when magic happened ! The gel instantly glides through the hair and fully nourishes it.
The curls are fully present and shiny.
It’s the best hair I’ve ever had in my life !
Especially as I frequently play sports and swimm in pools, even when deep conditioning it hasn’t been so moisturized.
Fantastic a huge thank you to Elise for sharing generously her knowledge !
    Life changing recipe 🤩☺️

    • @auderichards4982
      @auderichards4982 Рік тому +2

I didn’t put aloe vera powder, neither the preservative eco so I’m not sure if it slightly modifies the recipe’s texture and result.
It’s definitely going to be a fast wash&go gel for after sport sessions. Especially when you’re the last one in the lockeroom still washing&styling your hair...😛😛

I love it! I don’t use gel on my hair but I use gum tragacanth or glucomannan (konjac) gel as a moisture hair treatment, I leave it for one hour on my just washed hair and then just rinse with water, it’s amazing!

Whole Elise, thank you 🙏🏿 so much for this recipe; it looks great 👍🏾!! As someone with 4c hair, I would not be able to resist adding oils or Shea butter to make a nice custard (with a bit of e-wax), but yeah - winner!! Thank you again and I sooo look forward to your next video 😉❤️ xx

Absolutely! Feel free to customise this as you see fit. I tend to layer my products in the LOC method but having a multi-purpose product is a great idea 😊

My hair is dead straight but I (weirdly) have curly edges and side burns that can be quite hard to tame and a lot of gels just won’t hold them down, would this work for me? Btw I love how you make natural diy products so simple and easy🥰 I’m really into making my own products and channels like yours are my saving grace 🙏🏼❤️God bless xx

Thank you so much for your great help with making gels. You make it seem so easy so following your lead is a pleasure. Although, I have a question. I want to add my Ayurvedic herbal extracts in my gel for their healthy and amazing qualities. I'm thinking of making them into a tea. Strain well and use that as my water base. What do you think? Is there another way that I can do it? Thanks so much in advance.

Cheapest and simplest way to care for hair. Buy okra soak in water for 24 hours then strain out the gel. Add preservative or just freeze into ice cubes. Very cheap cheap multi use product. Can use as a deep treatment leave in or regular conditioner

I just made this with xanthan gum. And finally I found a DIY gel that works for me. I put a bit on my hair to test it and it is good as is but I am gonna add 1 tbsp conditioner and 1 tbsp oil. I made a batch of about 2cups ( cos I must always be extra y'know😂). Flax seed gel is just too much effort considering I can only make enough for a week. The xanthan gel is no effort and no cooking or messinvolved plus it looks better than flax seed gel on my hair. Next week's batch will have some aloe vera gel added. I have 3b/c curls and this just works fantastically on my hair. Good enough clumping and hold without the wet look.
Edit- I have been using it for almost a week now. Everyday I would rnse my hair in the shower and reapply. Today I spritzed with water and just had to reshape here and there. So I wasted time and gel by rinsing it out everyday cos thats what I always did with other gels. This is a game changer.

Thank you so much for this gel video!! I'm desperately trying to make pain reliefing arnica, st.johns wort and calendula oil, Aloe Vera gels, which arent oily, nor sticky, which can be applied on kids before bed, without staining the bed sheets. xantan gum was working, but I couldent rubb the herbal gel into the skin too long, bec it made skin flakes and a huge mess. i will try with a bit of glycerin again now. thank you soo much for those tips and tricks.🌺🌺🌻🌻🌞🌞💓
