Did you guys catch the (five finger discount/ stealing reference) before he took what the man was smoking? So many underlying meanings
Damn you catching everything
Thank you thank you thank you for noticing the little things. I been telling folks this is the new form of hey ya. Its like a this is america prequel lol its ah its genius!
Awesome! I'm glad you caught "Hey Ya" parallel, too! The man really puts work into his performances
I am so fascinated by the underlying messages hidden within music and especially how it relates to older traditions of hidden histories in song.
And Cab Calloway? Bro, I’m addicted to this video. Now, I’m addicted to reaction videos of Big Foot, Little Foot. Thanks. I’m thinking your reaction vid is, so far, the most comprehensive. You have given me more insight. I had to read the song lyrics the fist day after seeing this to realize how dark and contemporary it is. Indecently. Believe it or don’t, I worked with Cab Calloway in about 1986, him in his 70s, him being the first celebrity I met, and worked with. I was a theater student assistant at my school here in Long Beach Ca. My first reaction was Cab Calloway then realized it’s a mixture of many influences and your assessment of tic toc. Thanks dude
Great one! Without Cab, who knows where music and performing would be 🕺🏾
@@AnxietyActor Dude when I worked with him, saw him live (him at 77-78 yo), when he had everyone on their feet dancing, you realize this is where it all started. Nicest, soft spoken cat he was. I was even on follow-spot light operator on him during the gig. It was incredible. Did you know Mr Gambino got his name with a name-generator at the Wu-Tang website? If you type in his name you get Childish Gambino. My Wu-Tang name is Tha Contender. Try it bro haha
I do really think Glover is a modern day mastermind. The fact that he can write, act, sing, dance, the guy has got so much more talent in his pinky finger than most of us will have, but it's such a joy to see what he comes out with and the projects he works on. The more time goes by, the more I'm convinced of this.
Btw, kudos to you, too, for being an actor with bipolarism and anxiety(?). Not that I really know, but I kinda liken being an actor with being a baseball player, you're more likely to fail at the batter's box/get passed on at auditions than you succeed. If you're a .300 batter, you're a HoFer and I don't imagine a working actor even gets 3/10 auditions even. And to deal with being bipolar and having anxiety, but putting yourself out there. Seriously, that's some balls. Anyway, thanks for your reaction!
I didn't catch a lot of these hidden meanings. Also blew my mind with the Hey Ya hidden meaning. Enjoyed the video.
Your voice was low though, had to use headphones to hear well.
You've got a new subscriber
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are the first reactor I've seen catch the lyrics on first listen. You also catch the juxtaposition of the visuals and the lyrics. Great reaction!
I appreciate that!
Its kinda weird for me to see someone identify Juck Joints with just the 30s when there is a shot house around the way from me that's a Juck Joint right now... Oh and bruh, there is enough grey in your beard that you should know who Cab Calloway was... That is the vib Bino was pulling from.
How many yall hear TIs 24s 4:21
I feel like the puff of the cig was to symbolize he wanted smoke
That was not his "friend", supposed to be a random patron
I think he was talking about the lyrics.
Hes talking about the lyrics not the video
