I am very grateful to have fallen into this spiral of knowing Satellite Lovers when I didnt expect it. thank you very much for sharing their music. greetings from Chile. i feel happy :,)
Ok, I'm with everyone about this band being something special yet there's absolutely little info about them. Having listened to all the albums you've uploaded, they sound like they could've fit in the Shibuya Kei era or 90's Indie music in Asia. I hear bits of some of my favorite artists: Pizzicato Five, Kahimi Karie, Cibo Matto, even Mazzy Star (Sunlight reminds me of She Hangs Brightly, just it being a long song with that bass and distortion). Nostalgic yet refreshing. But perhaps having different styles was the reason they didn't stand out back then??? Anyway, thank you for this gem.
this band is legendary, that beastie boys cover is so sick, what a cool cool band thanks for sharing, this is really making my day, really really digging this record 😸🧑🍳
shibuya-kei music is very little known outside japan, maybe the only exceptions are KIRINJI and Pizzicato Five, but they were backed by big labels and they had contacts that helped distribute their music worldwide
Totally sounds like one of the more polished groups that I might have seen playing on the street by Yoyogi Koen on a Sunday afternoon in the '90s. I miss those days.
"Beastie Boys" reminds me of "M1A1" by the Gorillaz.. well more of an addictive punk rock song. I wouldn't be surprised to see a resurgence of their music. Mica Ikeuchi can scream at me, or put me to sleep with her sweet voice anyday💆
Funny, i thought this would be the kind of music thqt Sons of 1973 would be from the cover. Now i click on this record thinking well now i know what to expect from this band at least........... wait WHAT!? Eclectic to say the least.
@@swirlingfudge AI? Then why have they have a discogs entries and their records are associated with labels that exist or have existed? Besides i heard enough AI songs to know they don't sound as convincing, i've yet to hear a AI song that doesnt sound cookie cutter as fuck.
Pretty sweet album! I’m like 99% sure the instrumental of 空へ (Big Demo!) is directly inspired by Sweet Home Alabama (lol) and I really wanna listen to a mashup between the two songs now

why no lossless
did you maybe have the flac ones?
I was so upset because i can’t find anything about this band, but after first album is end, this album has played automatically. Just like magic.
I actually cant understand this. How can a band that had at minimum pan-Japan release have no digital footprint at all.
@@pranjalkumar9400 Japanese IP/copyright law makes digital rights for old media very difficult

These albums should be remastered on CD.
I’d buy all these albums

the best band ever
2024년에 듣는데 진짜 세련됐네..
Central Park (S.L meets little creatures) is such a vibe
Thank you!
You're a legend for uploading these
Thank you so much! I just love this band! Why are they not famous?
They made this great music and they're not famous? What happened?
They weren't a western band, that's it. And probably not big-label-backed. Sad!
Oo Recordings, Inc., which released these albums, got absorbed into Sony in 1997, so I'd lay the blame on that.

Lol, i had just finished the previous upload. Thank you for this gem

It also sounded familiar, but it might just be that the audio quality of the vocals reminds me of some of the vocals on Birthday Cake by Cibo Matto
