I saw Wicked this year on Broadway. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I only wish that I could have watched these two play Glenda and Alphaba! It was a spectacular musical!
I know a lot of people say that they are too old now to play the characters in the movie, but if nothing else they should have these two come back to record this song for the end credits for those who love the original cast version.

my best friend died a few years ago, and this was played at her funeral. when someone really changes you... really burns their way into your soul, it does change you for good. learn to recognize those people before it's too late.
What a beautiful tribute to your friend! She was obviously very special because she impacted other's lives! Life well lived. May she rest in peace and in glory! You'll carry on her kindness to others because she influenced your ❤! Sorry for your loss!
I love the look on Idina's face when she sings "It well may be, that we may never meet again in this lifetime." She seems to be saying to Kristin, "On your last night in the show, we thought it was the last time we'd ever sing it to each other. Yet, here we are again. So it was NOT the last time we met again in this lifetime! We're still friends after all these years!"
I don't care what people say about Idina voice. She sounds the same to me. She's always gonna be Elphaba in my mind. She is Elphaba and Elphaba was made for her to play. I love the way she sounds,it doesn't matter the time period. But this is just my opinion.
My father put me up for adoption at birth because he was very mentally ill and not financially stable. He spent a lifetime mourning the loss of his daughter (me), unable to move on but believing that he made the right choice. I met him almost two years ago, he had moved around between his siblings homes, never being able to settle anywhere or commit to anything or anyone. He drove himself mad but was undoubtedly the most incredibly selfless man I ever met. He was just suffering from so much internal conflict that he could not ever be at peace. He passed in February, and this song always makes me think of him. I miss him so much. Goodbye David 💕 Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.
Nicole, it sounds like your father was an amazing man. When you have the chance, read about the childhood of Greg Maguire (author of the novel). You may find you have an even deeper connection with this masterpiece.
@@annabethchase4151 You're right, For Good was on Glee in season 2, but they were talking about Idina and Kristen, despite both having prominent roles in the show they never interact or sing in the same number.
@@MICHAEL-s9w2d No, don't get me wrong Cynthia and Ariana did a good job so don't get it twisted it's just Idina and Kristin ARE Elphaba & Glinda I mean when they perform the songs, especially Idina performing Defying Gravity and Kristin performing Popular, now it's like their respective characters are still in them the way their facial expressions change and the little gestures and mannerisms they make, Idina doing her crazy eyes performing Defying Gravity, like they are just THEE most iconic Elphaba & Glinda.
Having this performed by these two women approaching middle age, makes this much richer, with the maturity of experience behind them. The lyric and composition is inherently complex, so it is fitting. Almost as though they are finally able to do it justice now. these veteran performers turn this into real gold.
My middle school music teacher committed suicide a few days ago and she absolutely loved Wicked. We sang a choral version of this song in high school like 8 years ago and it always stuck with me. I’m now currently getting my degree in music performance to eventually get an education degree to teach like her. She was incredibly talented and did so much for our community and especially our music department. She also got to work with Broadway superstars. She always got lead roles in musical theater shows. She was a real life Mary Poppins. No one could’ve ever expected this would happen.
So sad that so many creative and musically talented people struggle with mental health - let alone in a global-pandemic. It's good to know you will be a legacy of her talent.
Dianne Raymont agreed. That’s something that not a lot of people pay attention to. Being a musician is easily one of the hardest jobs in terms of mental health. It’s often time why people turn to drugs and other things like that.
I've seen a video of the last time they sang the song on stage as their characters. It was so clear that they were singing as themselves, not the characters (if that makes sense).
My 49 year old husband died last month while scuba diving. A blood clot from his leg released and moved to his lungs. We were married for 3 years, and knew each other for 5 years total. Knowing each other definitely made us better people. "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good." I love you and miss you, Joe.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad 5 years ago while we were both going through cancer treatment. He passed, I survived, but because of how he changed me a part of him gets to survive. Never forget that as long as you live, Joe lives on in you. That is what this song says to me.
There is magic being created here, anyone who feels their eyes getting watery feels the power. It's very rare humans get a chance to see real magic before their eyes. This is real magic people. The music and their voices casting spells all around us. Words have power, music has power. Their love for each other as friends only manifests these feelings more.
That moment where you realize it doesn’t matter how much time has passed since the first time they sang this together they will always have the perfect voices for this song and we as an audience can feel the connection between the actresses it’s amazing
How beautiful is it to watch Kristen Chenoweth’s face when Idina comes in for that second verse? Chenoweth seems to be taking so much joy in watching Idina do what she does. Then the harmony starts and the song starts to descend like big tidal waves of sound. Powerful and profound.
I know why. It's because Kristin and Idina aren't acting when they sing this song. They really are best friends in real life and they are singing it to each other. It's not often that you get to see such authenticity from Broadway stars.
@@rebecca8525 It really hits me after I read that Schwartz went to his daughter giving her a yellow pad and asking her to write down what she would want to say to her best friend Sarah if she knew she would never see her again ...
You can really see the respect and affection they have for each other during this performance, just by the way they look at each other. They had so much chemistry when they were in the show together. You can just tell how close they became working together, and how easily they sing this song together, how beautifully and easily they harmonize together. There’s just so much love there between the two of them, it’s beautiful. I mean, when they hold hands during the end of the song, and then they hug after. You can see they truly love each other.
I can't help but think how the lyrics of this song is perfect for where these two women are right now. Both have gone on to have wonderful careers, and because they knew each other they have been changed for good.
I relate to Elsa but Frozen can never take away the place Wicked has in my heart. But the first showtune I ever loved outside of context was Seasons of Love
Why does this make me feel like crying? I feel it relates perfectly to their personal relationship and it's like OMG they love and respect each other from being so fresh and young to now being seasoned pros it's so awesome
I just cannot hear this song without sobbing. I've had to pull my car over before now. It's is such a happy song, I love the idea that you can thank people and experiences for the lessons they can give you. I love the idea of thanking and letting go. It also makes me think of friends and loved ones no longer with us. This song is so beautiful in so many ways.
Me: Oh cool Kristin: I've heard it said... Me: *bursts into floods of tears* I do roll my eyes at people who adamantly claim that any one acting portrayal is the "only" one like you can't enjoy all the wonderful women who have played these roles but damn do these two give me goosebumps. I feel like, and I have no insider knowledge to back this up, that they are not best friends in real life and never will be but they sincerely believe these words when they sing them to each other. It goes beyond acting and nice singing and into something else.
They give me goosebumps as well, but so have others that have played these roles. This song always makes me tear up as it's the end of the show that I've sat mesmerized at many many times.
I sent this to the only best friend I ever had in my life, even though we haven't seen each other in years I don't know if she will even watch it the whole way through, or really listen to the lyrics but I really hope she does... I always remember when a teacher said he thought we would be friends forever because we were so inseparable. We did everything together, we even shared a diary we took turns to write down our dreams and plans and hard feelings we didn't wanna admit in person and then write each other replies and even though we were so different in so many ways it was like our souls were just the same in every single way. We both gave so much to each other and helped each other so much through extremely difficult times and also had so many happy moments and I've never laughed more with somebody... I know it was my fault, and your fault too, that we are not the friends we used to be. I love you so much So to the only person who was ever my friend It may be that we never meet again in this lifetime I don't know if I've been changed for the better, but because I knew you I have been changed for good. 😢❤️ I'll miss you and Us forever...
My bestfriend passed away last month, we'd often sit and discuss our favourite musicals, especially after a few drinks and spend hours playing eachother our favourite musical tracks. This was played at her funeral and i find myself here most nights. still shedding a tear!!
I'm sorry for your loss I lost my son in 2023 he love theater that was he life he some so much of the theater that I didn't know may you get the peace you need from our lord 😢😢
After spending 2019 listening mostly to pop music, coming back to Kristin and Idina in 2020 just blows my mind. You just don't hear those technical duets and harmonies on the radio.
This song never fails to bring a tear to my eye - when you realise that it's essentially a conversation between two best friends who will never see each other again, you can understand why
What I love most about them is they're both so different in characteristics AND in singing. Kristin's short and has blonde hair, Idina's taller with brown hair (thus perfect Elphie and Glinda match) and with singing voices, Kristin has the more higher, southerny tone to her voice and idina has the more alto, raspy voice to hers, yet when they put them both together...magic happens. I truly believe it was definitely God's intention to put these two fabulous women together. I'll never get tired of them, this musical or this very song in particular ❤ perfect friendship
I agree that they were a perfect blend, but I have seen others do a good job as well. I also will never get tired of them or this musical. I think I've seen it 6-7 times now (saw Idina my first time) and my grown daughters love it as much as I. We always go together! We are mesmerized from beginning to end.
Janice Dickson I long to have been able to witness they're potential in person. But I saw it on UA-cam. The Ally mauzey and Donna vivino version. And Ally mauzey is one of my faves because she makes the character her own and is extremely hilarious I was on the floor dying most of the time. I just love Kristin and Idina because of the movies I've seen them in as a kid and when they both started in Glee. I agree there's others who do just as exceptional. So glad you get to witness them multiple times. I bet they're as phenomenal in person as they are on the media :)
It’s nice to see people coming back to this video even after 5 years. I think that for good is one of the most tear jearking songs I have ever listened to. The fact that Idina and Kristin sing it together makes it even more special! 💗 I literally could not imagine anyone else in those roles.
Believe it or not my mom had them play this song at my dad's funeral recently and as soon as it started playing all you could hear were people crying. And I can't stop crying now.
You can really see how the show has affected their friendship as they sing, it's utterly beautiful. I love that little hug at the end too, there have been and will be some amazing Elphabas and Glindas, but these two will never be forgotten as the first. (Also who on earth are Nikki and Gabbi?)

the way they look at each other. Omg the special relationship they would have shared up on that stage! bring on the movie! (as long as they are both starring)
Still get full body chills everytime they harmonize on that last "I have been changed". Literal perfection that is. They sound so effortless together without either of them having to hold back. I'll love it forever.
I really REALLY want/need the original cast broadway musical to be released in full on DVD or streaming. These two are my absolute favorites, and I need to see their version of the musical. I was sadly too young (and too broke) to see Wicked during the original run 😢
Both of their voices have aged so well. Still very much them, but their talent's grown even more and there's even more vocal control and richness in their singing, and their voices have matured.
I will never forget hearing this song performed live for the first time. I was in London watching the play for the first time. I bought a ticket last minute and sat with an obstructed view all my myself. I couldn't hold back my tears when this song was performed. Such a beautiful, powerful testiment to friendship.
caitlin OMG same my show choir sang this at Disney and I cry thinking how now I don't know any of the people I was best friends with. I love this song soooo much it's one of my favs from wicked
This is one of those lyrics that just blows me away with its simplicity and complexity-"Who can say if I've been changed for the better, but because I knew you, I've been changed for good." You gotta give Schwartz credit- he knows how to turn a phrase like nobody's business!!!

when I saw wicked I was w my mom and her friend and the friends daughter .. People I knew all my life, my moms friend had cancer at the time and it wasn't looking good.. The way they fell into each other's arms during this song... I still cry thinking about it.. My moms friend is still with us but its surreal to think back on that time.. Ill be keeping your dad you and your family in my prayers. And gonna play this one more time for ur dad. ♥
It has been a year since my friend ended her own life and nothing has been the same since. She taught me so much and I will cherish all memories I had with her. There are no words to describe the pain I feel from her passing and there is no amount of time to heal the wounds. Please if you are considering suicide just know that there are people who care about you. There are so so many things that happen after her death that she never got to experience or will get to experience. I miss her so so much but I'm still going to move forward with my life in memory of her.
Seeing this two legendaries singing together again after how many many years, meant the world to me.. i love them both, and no ine can ever replace these two original Elphaba and Glinda😍😢
Do you know what I LOVE the most about this video? I LOVE that Kristin & Idina NEVER STOP SMILING throughout the whole thing!!!! (Plus, the way they sing it, it doesn't sound like Galinda singing with Elphaba.........it sounds like Kristin singing with Idina.......) Ok, one last thing........them taking hands at the end, and the HUG..............CRYING!!!
They love eachother - not romantically but. I think the song is true for them as friends and when they sing it it had double meaning for then and their characters. There is a taping of this song on their last Broadway show together and you can see the legit tears running down their faces. We want to make all love romantic but it isnt. They love eachother as good friends and that pure emotion is beautiful
I came to the show late in the game, early in 2009. I encountered this song online shortly after my husband of 17 years had passed away. The simple, yet profound message of this song got me through a LOT of really terrible times. I am forever grateful.
i love this so much because when they sing this on the original recording or in the show, their singing to each others character. now, years later, without the show, the song is just as emotional but instead of elphaba and glinda, its just Kristin and Idina and it shows how much their bond has grown over time
This song is beautiful and iconic. No matter who comes along to do it, whether good or bad, these two women will always be the ones to instantly move me to tears. Each and every time, so yes, thank you Kristin and Idina. I bow to you ladies for the memories.

For the record: these two do NOT hate each other! That rumor was born out of sexism and a fascination with women fighting. After all, you don't hear rumors about Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad hating each other. Or Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane. Hell, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odem Jr. played two men who faced off in a DUEL, and they were both up for Best Leading Actor in a Musical this year, but you don't hear stuff like "Oh, Lin hates Leslie!" or "Leslie wishes he could actually shoot Lin!" So, why are we hearing it about Idina and Kristen? It completely misses the point of Wicked.
There was controversy back in 2004 where people thought Kristin left Wicked because she and Idina were fighting, and one of the cast members seemed to back it up, but today, it's clear they get along just fine
coming here after watching the movie 😭 i don’t think ill ever be ready to see this song again on the second movie.. this song gonna wrecked us the most
I love the chemistry between the two. It looks like they want to look at each other all the time. Pretty sure they have the Choreography still in their bones after all this time
As I've tried to make sense of being the one left living after my son tried SO HARD, and failed, 4 years after cancer diagnosis, this song has kind of become the only sense I can make. And I live still, because he cannot

Kristin Chenoweth and Indina Menzel are the best Elphaba and Glinda to ever graced broadway. These two need to be in the Wicked Movie!
Dunkirk I think they might be
That would be totally "wicked" but unless one or the other is cast as Madam Morrible, it will not be.
Stephanie J Block climax in defying gravity outsold idina's whole run as Elphie. I STAN IDINA. but stephanie j block is the best elphie

Jesse actually Indina is singing higher here lol
Maia We I said throughout the entire show BUT IN THIS SONG they switched
Jesse Idina is the higher key througout the entire musical they didn't changed anthing or switch here at all, lol.
There still friends today that is great
And then during the For Good reprise in the finale they swap back (Glinda on top) and it sounds totally different. I've always l loved that contrast.

I know im gonna cry so hard when this happens next year
Kristin and Idina: "Because I knew you I've been changed for good..."
Me: *ugly sobbing*
There will never be a better original Broadway duo than these two.

But this is just my opinion.

of course! they always will be can't wait to hear the more duets from them as the years carry on

Ikr i was so mad and i still am 😂 like they weren’t even in the same episode! April and Shelby totally should’ve at least met each other lmao
I’ve never thought about them having a duet on glee but now you’ve brought my attention to it I’m outraged
wait didn’t they? i was just listening to it. rachel was elphaba and kurt was glinda
@@annabethchase4151 You're right, For Good was on Glee in season 2, but they were talking about Idina and Kristen, despite both having prominent roles in the show they never interact or sing in the same number.
No one will ever equal Kristin & Idina in these roles.
they just have ....
@@MICHAEL-s9w2d No, don't get me wrong Cynthia and Ariana did a good job so don't get it twisted it's just Idina and Kristin ARE Elphaba & Glinda I mean when they perform the songs, especially Idina performing Defying Gravity and Kristin performing Popular, now it's like their respective characters are still in them the way their facial expressions change and the little gestures and mannerisms they make, Idina doing her crazy eyes performing Defying Gravity, like they are just THEE most iconic Elphaba & Glinda.
this song makes me cry anytime. they are not just actor but true soul of Elphaba and Glinda
Jy P I totally agree with you and I cry everytime too..
Barbara Hawkinson I cri everi tiem?
Look at the respect they have for each other. You can see it in their eyes! Two absolute queens!
I’m glad they stayed friends all these years
That's not mere respect. That's true friendship.
Respect? That's LOVE!!!
This song is so good I actually took the time to pause it before I sneezed.
Ha ha yes same
This scene will wreck me next year. Oh gosh. 😢
I had that exact thought while watching the movie...like oh noooooooooooooooooooo
I'm ready to crying
Having this performed by these two women approaching middle age, makes this much richer, with the maturity of experience behind them. The lyric and composition is inherently complex, so it is fitting. Almost as though they are finally able to do it justice now. these veteran performers turn this into real gold.
I concur.
Hugs to you.
How tragic, so sorry to hear this :-(....
@@dianneraymont5971 Was thinking the same...she can build on & carry that teacher's legacy into the future !!!
God that moment at 1:37 when Kristen looks at Idina and says “I have been changed for good” the genuine smile from Idina is heart warming!
I've seen a video of the last time they sang the song on stage as their characters. It was so clear that they were singing as themselves, not the characters (if that makes sense).
@@JeshuaSquirrel They always were singing as themselves. They are friends in real life!
That harmony on "I do believe I have been changed for the better" gets me every time.
Yep. Eargasm
No other Glinda/Elphaba pairs voices go together QUITE like Idina and Kristin's. Their voices were MEANT to be together.
This was sung at my brother's funeral and hurts Everytime I hear it but I can't stop listening
My 49 year old husband died last month while scuba diving. A blood clot from his leg released and moved to his lungs. We were married for 3 years, and knew each other for 5 years total. Knowing each other definitely made us better people. "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good." I love you and miss you, Joe.
im so sorry for you i wish you the best
I’m so sorry for him.
I'm so sorry, honey! Lots of love
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad 5 years ago while we were both going through cancer treatment. He passed, I survived, but because of how he changed me a part of him gets to survive. Never forget that as long as you live, Joe lives on in you. That is what this song says to me.
So very sorry for your loss.
Get ready. It's happening again.
How beautiful is it to watch Kristen Chenoweth’s face when Idina comes in for that second verse? Chenoweth seems to be taking so much joy in watching Idina do what she does. Then the harmony starts and the song starts to descend like big tidal waves of sound. Powerful and profound.
I absolutely cannot look at what now passes for Kristin Chenoweth's face.
I don't even know why, but this song and performance just brought me to tears.
We have another one on the 29th.
same huhuhuhu
same
When you see comments from just a few hours ago, you know that the song is a masterpiece.
damn right, we love them crisp n fresh new comments. 😌
I don't care what age they are, they need to star in the Wicked movie
Come back to say your wish come true
Crying again for my dear husband David. 7 lonely years since you died. He helped me grow and changed me for good.
Love to you
Hugs to you. You were lucky to have him.
Can we just appreciate how much of a boss Idina Menzel is? Between Rent, Wicked and Frozen, she's amazing
Yeah! Unbelievable! I really admire her!
Spectacular!
I relate to Elsa but Frozen can never take away the place Wicked has in my heart. But the first showtune I ever loved outside of context was Seasons of Love
There will never be a better duo than these two for Wicked. The chemistry and deep love and respect is unmatchable.
Broke down when they held hands! They both look and sound so beautiful and it's so nice they get to sing this together again after all these years
Kristen Chenoweth and Indina Manzel you are the greatest singers
they make singing look effortless when it's obviously not
Idina...
Why does this make me feel like crying? I feel it relates perfectly to their personal relationship and it's like OMG they love and respect each other from being so fresh and young to now being seasoned pros it's so awesome
David Dye seasoned XD (Imagines Kristin and Idina with bbq seasoning on a grill)
Me: Oh cool
Kristin: I've heard it said...
Me: *bursts into floods of tears*
I do roll my eyes at people who adamantly claim that any one acting portrayal is the "only" one like you can't enjoy all the wonderful women who have played these roles but damn do these two give me goosebumps.
I sent this to the only best friend I ever had in my life, even though we haven't seen each other in years
I don't know if she will even watch it the whole way through, or really listen to the lyrics but I really hope she does...
I love you so much
So to the only person who was ever my friend
It may be that we never meet again in this lifetime
I don't know if I've been changed for the better, but because I knew you I have been changed for good. 😢❤️
I'll miss you and Us forever...
My bestfriend passed away last month, we'd often sit and discuss our favourite musicals, especially after a few drinks and spend hours playing eachother our favourite musical tracks. This was played at her funeral and i find myself here most nights. still shedding a tear!!
❤
I'm sorry for your loss
I'm sorry for your loss I lost my son in 2023 he love theater that was he life he some so much of the theater that I didn't know may you get the peace you need from our lord 😢😢
Sorry for my spelling he show me so much from the theater 🎥 ❤❤❤
❤ I'm still here, god bless you x ❤
You can't beat this - even if your mother was singing this to you. this is magic like only magic can be.
It’s nice to see people coming back to this video even after 5 years. I think that for good is one of the most tear jearking songs I have ever listened to. The fact that Idina and Kristin sing it together makes it even more special! 💗 I literally could not imagine anyone else in those roles.
Both of them really said C H E E K B O N E S
Right?! I couldn’t look away!
Nobody can sing this like Kristin & Idina. They’re incredible.
I love this because they're not singing this song as their characters, but as themselves. It's beautiful.
Believe it or not my mom had them play this song at my dad's funeral recently and as soon as it started playing all you could hear were people crying. And I can't stop crying now.
so sorry for your loss🫂

I'm so glad Kristin and Idina sang this one. They always bring something so very special to this song and their chemistry is INSANE. CHILLS.
You can really see how the show has affected their friendship as they sing, it's utterly beautiful. I love that little hug at the end too, there have been and will be some amazing Elphabas and Glindas, but these two will never be forgotten as the first.
(Also who on earth are Nikki and Gabbi?)
Andie G you know their cut with them just practicing...i always cry at that. and galinda's last day...woah
Andie G Nikki and Gabbie are Sisters and beauty gurus on UA-cam who just recently posted a cover of this on their channel.

* Kristin Chenoweth
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives
For a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led to those
Who help us most to grow if we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you

the way they look at each other. Omg the special relationship they would have shared up on that stage! bring on the movie! (as long as they are both starring)
This made me cry.
@DJJ Old? What is that?
Nothing more magical than these two working together.
Still get full body chills everytime they harmonize on that last "I have been changed". Literal perfection that is. They sound so effortless together without either of them having to hold back. I'll love it forever.
still to date one of the most beautiful duets written
And as performed by Kristin and Idina!
The chemistry and sincerity of their emotions elevates the entire performance💖

I really REALLY want/need the original cast broadway musical to be released in full on DVD or streaming. These two are my absolute favorites, and I need to see their version of the musical. I was sadly too young (and too broke) to see Wicked during the original run 😢
Both of their voices have aged so well. Still very much them, but their talent's grown even more and there's even more vocal control and richness in their singing, and their voices have matured.
Some people say that it’s the perfect goodbye song, but I think of it as a thank you for everything you’ve done song. Anyone else?
The Mini Life Same!
It's definitely a goodbye song, it literally says "It well may be that we will never see again in this lifetime"
Countrycowboy08 People can interprete things different!
Isn't that what goodbyes essentially are, thanking for everything? Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

when I saw wicked I was w my mom and her friend and the friends daughter .. ♥
My prayers are with you and yours in this time, and hope the final stage in your dad's life are filled with special memories!
I'm so sorry. Praying for you
You are loved ❤
This just made me cry.....
(Plus, the way they sing it, it doesn't sound like Galinda singing with Elphaba.........it sounds like Kristin singing with Idina.......)
Ok, one last thing........them taking hands at the end, and the HUG..............CRYING!!!
8 years this has been posted. And it’s still being watched. ❤

Grant Duffus yeah...we know the words...thanks for that useless comment 😂
ClarkeyYT some people don't (like myself) and want to read along, so it's not useless
THANK YOU.
I mean, can't you see that they are literally the best of friends!
i love how they sing together ❤❤❤
Selina Lee thank you i hate it when this happens
There was controversy back in 2004 where people thought Kristin left Wicked because she and Idina were fighting, and one of the cast members seemed to back it up, but today, it's clear they get along just fine

How they watch each other sing even after these years ...lifelong humility and respect for these two forever friends.💚💚💚
There are the two best performers of those two characters ever. The production will always be in debt to them.

Pretty sure they have the Choreography still in their bones after all this time

There's blame to share
And none of it seems to matter anymore
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes the sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In the wood (Harmony over Glinda)
Who can say if I've been
Changed for the better?
I do believe I have been
Changed for the better
And because I knew you...
Because I knew you...
Because I knew you...
I have been changed for good...
you should said it is lyrics

After all these years, I’m just getting into this musical

The song reminds me of the people who are gone and those still here who helped me get through a tough time in my life.
